Dakota sighed. What they would've given to have a nice upbringing. Instead, she got the unsupportive, strict family where you never matter unless you have 100% good grades and reputation. Dakota rubbed their shoulder where the pebble had hit. "Yeah, yeah," they groaned. Did Phi seriously have to throw a pebble at them? Sure it was small, but it still hurt. Wanna have Nathaniel and Mathias chat?? Mathias can tell Nathaniel about the argument he had with Echo!) (Bet, let's do it!) Mathias was surprisingly mellow, having missed his usual morning training. All the motivation he usually had each morning had seemed to leave him this time. He glared up at the ceiling of the Ares cabin from his bed, mulling over the argument he had with Echo. What the hell did she even know about who he was, or what he wanted or didn't want? As angry as he felt, he knew that it wasn't her fault that he just couldn't muster himself to show that kind of commitment. The last time he did, he had watched her die, and buried her with his bare hands in the sands they once played tag on. Even after so many years, he felt his throat tighten. He cared so much for Echo, more than anyone else in the camp, and the prospect sparked that one small sliver of fear he had left in his body. He closed his eyes, sighing deeply as he ran his hand over his eyes. Maybe he should just give it up, forget about her or anyone else. Maybe it was better if he was alone. |

Nathanial burst into the Ares cabin, his eyes searching the bunks and finally found who he was looking for, “Ah, here you are! What’s the idea, Mathias? You blew off fight training, what are you doing sulking in bed?” He said, walking over to where his half brother was lounging. Mathias only turned a fraction to recognize Nathanial’s presence, before he replied gruffly. “Didn’t feel like it this morning. You guys telling me you can’t do a training session for one day without me there?” He scoffed, though he quickly recognized that he was toeing the line of aggression here. Taking a deep breath to control his impulses, he released it slowly and spoke in a calmer tone. “I’m fine. Just not in the game today.” |

Nathanial arched an eyebrow at Mathias’ answer before giving a shake of his head, “You certainly don’t look fine to me. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this before.” He said, sitting down on the bunk opponent of him. Nathanial gave his half brother a searching look before he spoke again, “I’m just gonna take a wild guess and say this attitude of yours has something to do with a certain daughter of Aphrodite. What, did you make a move and things didn’t go the way you wanted?” There was light teasing tone to his voice, but Nathanial kept a serious look on his face. He remembered how tense and tired Echo had looked when he had spoken to her that morning, so something had to of happened between the two of them.

Soul gave a light nod, turning her head to look at the beach, “Okay. That sounds good.” She said. The dining pavilion seemed a little crowded, and she wasn’t exactly ready to mingle with a lot of people all at once. Hopefully the beach wouldn’t have as many campers. “Just how many campers are there?” She asked now, looking at Ryver.

(Hey, y’all! New here, and I’m joining with a character in the Apollo cabin, will make more characters later probably lol. My character is open right now!)
Oliver sat on his bed in the Apollo cabin, playing his ukulele. Of course he could play guitar as well, but his uke was more comfortable for him, and he somewhat grew an attachment to it, though would never admit it out loud. After a long while, his hands started to cramp, and he put the instrument back in its case and slid it under his bed. I should probably get some fresh air. Haven’t been outside in a while. Oliver got up, sliding on his shoes, and headed for the door. He glanced over at his prized possession, making sure it was tucked away well enough. Satisfied, he opened the door and stepped out of the cabin.

Nathaniel was quiet for a before giving a shake of his head, “Well, this will certainly make things a little awkward.” He said with a sigh and running a hand through his hair, “Echo and I just made a deal to be on the same team for Capture the Flag this morning.” |

He sat up, but quickly turned his head to frown at the window. “Make whatever deal you like. I highly doubt she’d care to see me anyway, so I may as well sit this round out. Unless you plan to ditch again .” He sighed, before admitting. “Where the hell did you run off to last time? You know, the night the game turned into a monster attack?” He never took Nathanial for a coward, but most of all he had been miserable when thrust into position of leadership out of the blue. Mathias was always tired of being the reason others died, or left, or lost. How could he possibly help when now Echo was going to be on his same team? Surely something would go wrong, like it always did when he finally started to care, or open up. |

(I’ll do Rosaline then!) Standing with her hands casually on her hips, Rosaline had stopped in her walk across camp to listen to the lovely music coming from the Apollo cabin. She grinned, pulling down her sunglasses when she heard the music stop, and saw Oliver opening the cabin door. She whistled slowly, before speaking with confidence and suaveness. “That you playing in there, Oliver? You could catch yourself something pretty if you brought that song and dance out on the porch when the sun starts going down.” Her glossed lips curled into a smile, sweet and bold. “Lucky me, I got to hear that music.” |

He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, assuming a shade of rosy pink was creeping up his face. "Uh, yeah. That was me." He paused to clear his throat, which had turned dry in a matter of seconds. Why was I caught so off-guard? Stop being such a dork, Oliver."I mean, I could bring my uke out, if that's what you'd like." He rubbed his hands on his denim jacket, hoping to relieve them of the sweat that decided to appear so swiftly. (Ooo Rosaline seems cool! Also Oliver wasn't added to the info page so here's his appearance- Oliver is 5'8", around average height for his age. He has an olive skin tone, complimenting his short black hair (either messy or swept to the side with a bit of gel, depending on his mood) and brown eyes. Oliver sports a scar running down the side of his face. He has a stocky build, and a faint hint of abs, though isn't the type to show off. He's usually sporting a hoodie or a somewhat worn denim jacket- paired with a plain tee underneath- with a casual pair of sweatpants.- just for reference so you know what he looks like!)

Oliver w/ Rosaline- Moonblazer(Thanks! :grin:) Though the redness in his cheeks didn't disappear, Oliver nodded, content with the idea. "Sounds good. Maybe I'll bring it out tonight at the campfire." He let a warm smile form on his face. "I'm not really in a rush... I just realized I should get out and stretch my legs, you know?" At that, he fully stepped out of the cabin, carefully shutting the door behind him. "It can get lonely in there sometimes," he admitted with a hint of awkwardness hidden in his voice. Oliver fiddled with his hair for a second, before asking, "Where were you headed?"

Live music around the campfire, you know how to treat a woman.” Rosaline teased with a flirtatious undertone, before she mused. “Well, if it’s awfully lonely in there, I can give you some company. I’ve got nothing better to do anyway, and hey. I can bring you some good luck if you let me tag along. Want to hit a bullseye in archery, or find something shiny out in the woods? I’m your girl.” She offered.

He shoved his hands in his pockets with a grin. "I am open to ideas, though. If you have any," he added. He thought it would be fun to hang out with Rosaline, and she seemed keen to do the same. "Maybe you could try your hand at archery," he commented playfully.
