Horus gave her a light smirk and shrugged, โWhat can I say? I like to win, so I take my planning seriously.โ He said, but not in an arrogant way. He watched as she tossed the ice dagger, impressed with her control over cyrokinesis. Hecateโs children always seemed to have interesting abilities. The dagger spun round in round casting beautiful rays of light all over the training grounds from its contact with sunlight. Kassie pressed her hands together, moving them in counter-clockwise motion and quickly the dagger folded in on itself. The shape changed almost immediately, but this time the item that landed down in Kassie's outstretched hands was a large glass-looking snowflake. She stared down at the snowflake, her expression a little taken aback by such of beautiful item. "No matter how many times we practice though, we're bound to not get everything right though," Kassie murmured. In a flash, Kassie spun on her heels, throwing the snowflake straight into the head of a training dummy. The ice piece shattered sending shards all around the small area of the dummy. |

โI was just fixing something in the cabin. All that nitty gritty kind of stuff.โ Valen mused, though he offered a light smile to his half-sister as he sat down across from her and crossed his arms over his chest. โBut thatโs pretty boring, compared to your artwork. Admittedly, Iโm not too crazy about the next Capture the Flag, after what happened last timeโฆโ He sighed. โHmm.โ Ava hummed in reply, glancing up at him, โWhat broke this time?โ She asked, looking back down as she tried to decide which color to work on next. She had missed the last Capture the Flag game, having been sick with the flu that day. But she had heard about and saw the aftermath of the sudden monster attack. โWhose team are we on this time?โ "One of the sinks. I bet one of the siblings was practicing their magic and popped the faucet. Nothing too hard to fix, but still." Valen answered with a small chuckle, before he blinked and shook his head lightly. "Not sure yet. I was meaning to ask today which team we'll be on. They'll probably announce it soon. Any team you prefer to be on?" He asked, personally preferring the more calculating skills of Athena's team over Ares' team. |

"That so? Are you a demigod, like us?" Kumiko asked, looking back over at Soul, this time inspecting the strange girl for wounds. Motioning for them to follow her, she led the two over to an open cot and pulled a divider sheet to separate them from the rest of the infirmary. Kumiko then motioned for Soul to sit on the cot, "So I see you have a head wound, are there any other wounds besides this one?" she asked, grabbing some gauze.
Soul followed after Kumiko and sat down on the cot when instructed. "Demigod?" she asked when Kumiko brought it up. In her travels, she had heard rumors and whispers of something like that, but had never known what a demigod actually was. When Kumiko asked about any other injuries, she fiddled with her jacket nervously, "S-sort of..." Soul said, still not sure if she wanted to take it off yet. She was glad that Kumiko had closed the sheet around them, giving them a bit of privacy.

"That may be true, but we just have to learn how to roll with the punches and to adapt quickly." He said, having to change strategies several times before in battle. "I'll get out of your way, I don't want to interrupt your training." Horus said, knowing how seriously some tend to take their training.

Claude raised a brow when his hand was dropped again, and he looked back at Sarah to see that she was facing away from him. He could tell that she was pouting. The blonde silently chuckled and shook his head slowly before walking back to her. He crouched down to be eye-to-eye with the back of her head, a lazy grin on his face. "So you get to call me names and use threats and I have to be okay with it? But I call you goldilocks and it's the silent treatment? That doesn't seem very fair now, dontcha think?" - - - - - "Thanks." Juniper grumbled and held onto the journal tightly. If anyone had read her private thoughts and poems then she probably would've marched right down to any of the Nemesis kids for some kind of revenge, or maybe even one of Hecate's kids to put a curse on them. But, it seemed that Will was safe from Juniper's wrath, for now. She watched as he sat down, noticing the way he took care not to put too much weight on his ankle. Concern briefly graced her visage, an uncommon sight from the Aphrodite girl. "You ok?" [ ๐

Josie offered a sheepish smile and shook her head slowly. "It's alright, no need to apologize to me. I know you're just worried about the safety of the rest of the campers, just like everyone else." Again she leaned in to kiss him once on the lips, but hesitated and went in for one more, lingering a little longer than before. After a few moments she finally pulled away, turning her head to keep him from seeing her cheeks blushing so red. "Just gotta get changed then we can head out. Do you need to stop by your cabin, or...?" She trailed off, realizing that people might recognize that he was wearing the same outfit as yesterday. - - - - - Fran stole a glance over her shoulder, a little relieved to see that he was actually following her. Gods, he looked exhausted. She kept her pace about the same, knowing that if he wanted to walk beside her then he would. He was about a foot taller than her after all. "Only if I see a god or goddess about to smite you, got it," she couldn't hide her smile at that, even biting the inside of her cheek to keep from giggling. "The fields? Well, I think they're doing well. The next harvest is gonna be a big one I can tell you that." It's not that long of a walk to get to the strawberry fields, but they do have to pass the arena and the forge along the way. "Are you excited for capture the flag?" |

Sarah let out a "hmph" of annoyance with Claude. Sure, that did seem a bit unfair. But he had started the name calling first and deserved at least of bit of punishment for it. "It is fair when you're the one who started it," she grumbled, her voice was barely audible though. She turned her head down and studied her old, beaten up hot pink sneakers, which had gotten a bit tight since she had grown a bit. Will looked back up at Juniper and let out a simple "hm" as a reply. For a few moments he continued to settle down on the ground, shifting to get comfortable. After a few moments, he gave her a straight answer, "I twisted my ankle while training and it's a bit sore. I can manage though," he added quickly. He took off the light jacket he'd been wearing and tied it around his waist, deciding it had gotten a bit warm.
Ryver stood on the other side of the sheet. He wondered if it would be okay or appropriate for him to be on the other side. He decided it'd be better to stay on this side of the sheet for now. He didn't want to invade on Soul's privacy. There was definitely something off about her, but Ryver supposed it wasn't really any of his business though.
Dakota shrugged, a bit annoyed by all the questions Phi was asking. "Well, Pirithous," they said, a bit of emphasize on his name, "If you must know, it makes me feel better to practice on my own instead of around a bunch of other people who might be staring at me and judging me." They looked down at their hands, picking at some loose skin around her middle finger. |

Phi raised an eyebrow as he was called his full name, honestly he only ever heard it when being yelled at. With a groan he pulled out his flask and said, "Hate to break it to ya but people will judge you no matter where you are and who your with." He then offered his drink and said, "My advice is if it will help ya then forget everyone else and do it if you want. Simply do what you want to do."

Dakota shrugged. "Easy to say, hard to do," they said simply. It was easy to say to ignore other people, but it wasn't that simple. They began to pick and tear at the grass. "How would you feel trying to control water around a bunch of Poseidon kids who naturally have the ability to control water?" They quizzed him. "I'm a Hecate kid while the others are Hephaestus, they naturally have fire abilities. Meanwhile, I don't."

Phi just nodded as he listened to Dakota and said, "Well that does sound like such an annoying thing to deal with. As for how I would feel the answer is fine." With a smirk he said, "Because I would be able to show them that they aren't as special as they think they are. But then again I am the child of the god of madness."

They rolled their eyes. "You Dionysus kids, I swear..." Dakota mumbled. "Whatever. Hear anything interesting going around in camp?" Dakota was dying for something interesting. Conversations always felt dry and unexciting, they needed to hear something at least a bit interesting for once. They picked up a handful of grass, which they'd torn up earlier, and managed to get a few sparks, but not quite flames.

Dakota sighed. Although Phi was right, they were hoping he'd have something at least a little interesting. They were the son of Dionysus after all. "They always do that though." They lied down on their back and huffed. Things back home were way more interesting while things at camp were a bit... well, not interesting.

As soon as Dakota heard Phi say "cases of madness", they looked over to him with an accusing glance. "Any idea how it happened," they asked. Dakota was a bit intrigued by this new information. Perhaps something interesting could be happening after all.

Though it didnโt help that these rookies thought that because they are related to the two war centered deities that they are the best, bragging about while I am trying to enjoy my meal.โ Waving his hand in-front of his face, a slight smirk on his face, while saying, โPride comith before the fall and all that.โ

Usually newbies come in on their own, not with somebody who has already joined camp." They wondered how ones hair could be white. Though, they thought, she could've just dyed their hair.

Kumiko gave a nod as she examined Soulโs head wound, โYup, demigod. Children of gods and mortals.โ She said, cleaning the cut. Kumiko noticed the girl get nervous when she had asked about any other injuries and gave her a reassuring smile. โDonโt worry, weโre the only ones in this space. No none can see us if youโre not comfortable, and I wonโt tell anyone about whatever it is you donโt want anyone to see.โ She promised the strange girl.
Soul looked up at Kumiko as she spoke before looking away again, โW-well, I wouldnโt say Iโm a demigod. That much I know.โ She said, before taking a deep breath, โI might be something close to it though. Iโm not exactly sure what I would call myself.โ She gave a sigh, taking her jacket off and stretching her wings out a bit. The jacket was a cramped fit for her, but it was the only way that she could hide them. To regular mortals, she would appear deformed; but to others like Kumiko and Ryver, she had pair of white scaled dragon wings on her back.
Kumikoโs eyes widened a bit in surprise and awe, โWell, not the strangest thing Iโve seen before.โ She said, moving and examining the large gash on her right wing. โNot to worry, I can stitch this up pretty quick. But I would suggest to refrain from flying for a few weeks to give it time to heal.โ She said, grabbing a needle and medical thread. โThis will sting a bit.โ

Ryver tapped his foot on the floor as he waited for Soul to be healed. He wondered what all the surprise sounds were about, but knew better than to pry on people, especially girls. He began to slowly pace around. Seconds felt like minutes, and minutes like seconds as Ryver waited to see what would happen.

Soul had pulled her jacket back on before Kumiko pulled the sheet back. She had been surprised how accepting the girl had been at the sight of her wings, it wasnโt often that she came across someone like that. Perhaps Ryver was right, this place could be different. She stood from the cot and approached Ryver, โShe said Iโll need to be careful for the next couple weeks. So I might stick around until then.โ Soul said, figuring she might as well give this camp a shot.

Ryver stopped in his tracks. He looked over as he heard Soul's voice. A smile spread across his face as he heard that she'd be staying for a while. "That's great!" He exclaimed. Ryver's face flushed in embarrassment at how he sounded. "So, is there anything you'd like to do while you're here?"

Dakota nodded. Phi was right. Besides, they never really payed attention to the newbies. Kind of left them on their own. "Guess I just don't pay much attention to newbies," they said while shrugging. "So, what godly parent do you think she might have?" There were several cabins that could use a few more campers.

Those cabins are already full enough with annoying people.โ With a groan he also added, โAlso gods forbid they be a siblings of mine, I already have enough time dealing we the ones I have now.โ

Dakota looked at him with a sort of annoyed glance. "How many siblings do you have?" They thought in their head about how many there were, counting on her fingers as she recalled names. "You only have, like, one or two siblings! I have..." They took a moment to count on their fingers and recall names again, "I have four! Sure, it's not as much as some cabins, but that's still a lot!"

Phi rolled his eyes as he heard Dakotaโs annoyed tone. Looked at them he said, โYeah so, unlike other cabins when we say we drive each other mad then we are speaking literally. Kind of makes it where you donโt want any other siblings.โ With a growl he took another swig from his flask and said, โAlso we children of Dionysus are prone to crippling addictions to cope with are madness and sower attitudes, do you really think this place needs more of that?โ

Dakota shrugged. "Not all demigods have powers and/or abilities," they pointed out, "And as for the crippling addictions to coping and madness, we already have a lot of that without you and your siblings. We go Hades children as well." Dakota knew that some of the people at camp didn't have powers. Like some of the Hermes kids. Although, most of them still had powers and abilities.
