After an hour of training James made his way into the kitchen area of the dinning hall and called out," Hey Evelyn you here?" A delish smirk then plastered itself across his face as he continued to say," Cause if your not I am going to start juggling knives again." He knew threatening to do dangerous stuff was the quickest way to get his half-sister to respond.

“No, I wasn’t.” Phoenix said with a huff as she sat down next to Kyo, “Lyra was showing the new kid around and they came by while I was training.” She explained, looking down at the plate of food that she had grabbed. Nathanial looked back at Mathias and then looked over at Echo as well. Mathias had a point at that, with her leadership and fighting skills, Echo could be a valuable ally later on. “You’re gonna creep her out if you keep staring at her like that.” He teased lightly. “You never were quick to trust.” Kyo hummed, knowing Phoenix well enough to know that her shell could be hard to crack. Even so, he looked at her and assured. “I was surprised to hear that you found a new camper in the first place… what happened?” Mathias took note of Nathanial’s words, sighing as he realized that the other man was right. He looked away from Echo and mused. “Besides. I doubt someone like her would date a big brute like me. I’ve been around the block more times than a mail truck.” He admitted shamelessly, knowing that his desires for carnal pleasures could be off-putting to some in camp. He certainly would never deny that he got around. Surely Echo would not be keen on that… even if the thought made him ache a bit, far more than with anyone else so far. Phoenix ate a bit of her food before replying, “I was walking near the border when he stumbled up pretending to be a mortal that got lost. Then a monster showed up and chased after him, so of course, like an idiot, I followed after them.“ she explained, frowning lightly as she pushed Her food around on the plate. Phoenix paused for a moment before continuing the story, “Then I caught up with them and fought the monster, which turned out to be an illusion he made. He said he want to test the camps training and see if the rumors about us were true. Guess we passed.” She grumbled. Phoenix had decided to leave out the little episode she had out of the story. She didn’t want to worry Kyo, especially after what happened the last time. Nathanial shook his head at his brother before turning back to eat the rest of his food. He had plans after dinner and didn’t want to take too long at dinner. Echo finished up her food and sat back and looked around the dining pavilion, her eyes landing on the Ares table. Mathias’ offer had intrigued her, but she still wasn’t sure what her feelings were for him. She noticed Nathanial sitting next to Mathias and remembered what he had told her about how Nathanial had disappeared during the Capture the Flag. Looking back down at her own table, Echo wondered what exactly he had been up to while he was gone. Was it a new strategy that just didn’t work out? |

Heyo!) Cat gave him a smile and a nod, “Sure, I would like that.” She said, turning to leave the forest, “I was just heading back to the cabins when I stopped here.” “Well, there’s been the few rebellious campers.” Kumiko said, giving her own mischievous grin, “I’ve done a couple times myself with my friends. Although we tend to get into trouble when all of us sneak out together.” She added, remembering the last time she had snuck out with Echo, Shard and the others. Jared turned to follow Cat, walking at her side, his hands tucked away into his pockets. He glanced down at her hands, briefly thinking about holding her hand. He looked up at her,”Why did you come through the forest?”he asked her. Spencer let her smile widen,”you mean…my new friend here is a pro at sneaking out of this place when it gets dead and boring like this?”she asked,”because…I couldn’t think of anything better right now.”She said, with a small nod towards the general direction of the camp entrance. |

“I wanted to take the long way back.” Cat said as Jinx flew over and landed on Cat’s shoulder, “The weather was nice, so I didn’t want to turn in too early. What about you? The training area might be better than the forest.”
Kumiko grinned and looped her arm through Spencer’s, “She sure is. And the first rule of sneaking out, never use the front door.” She giggled, leading her in a different direction. It would be better to go somewhere they wouldn’t be seen by the other campers.

Jared nodded at her,”I liked that it was quiet. And that I could murder a tree,”he joked. “But yeah, I think the training area sounds fun right now. At least with you it is,”he added, definitely happier to train with Cat there.
Spencer’s eyes lit up with genuine surprise as she walked next to Kumiko, her arm hooked with hers. “Wait…I didn’t know there was a back door,”she whispered excitedly. XD (She’s so innocent, I love her haha)
Natasha was in the dining pavilion when she noticed her friend at the Aphrodite table looking deep in thought. She got up from where she sat to approach her, sitting down by her when she got there. “You look like you have something in your mind,”she greeted Echo with a smile.

“Maybe tomorrow we can train. There is something I’ve been working on, I’ve gotten a little better at it but I want to work on it a bit more.” Cat suggested. She had been training a lot recently and had decided to pick up a new weapon that she had been training with.
Kumiko laughed and continued to lead her to a spot that she had used once before, “No, silly, there isn’t actually a back door. There are a few spots that are good for it, but you still have to be careful no one sees you.” She stopped at the outskirts of the forest and looked around to see if anyone was watching them before gesturing for Spencer to follow her over a small bill past the border and went towards the street, “If we walk a little this way, we can hail a cab at the gas station not too far from here.”
Echo looked up as Natasha sat down next to her, “Hm? Not much, just thinking about the recent events going on here.” She said, resting her chin in her hand, “What are you up to?”

Illusions also were possible abilities for children of Iris, at least with how light could trick the mind. Even so, he crossed his arms slowly, looking back at Phoenix. “…I don’t know why, but… it seems kind of odd. Off, in a way. Why not just come here directly, if he knew where we were?” Mathias noticed Nat sitting herself down near Echo, and he was quickly brought of out his musing trance. Flicking his head lightly, he finished up what he had and began to stand up. “I better leave if I want to slip out without all the fanfare. If anyone needs me, that’s tough luck for them.” He snickered, before waving once at Nathanial as he began to leave. |

I thought there was just the one way through the front”she said, following her to the street. “Man I can’t wait to get out of here!”she said excitedly, looking down the road. Little did the girls know that Blake, who was taking a walk in the forest, saw them as the were leaving camp, and started to follow them at a distant, curious as to if they were actually leaving camp against the rules. Nat nodded at Echo,”recent events being the monster break in?”she asked her,”because that has been on my mind still.”she said as she leaned back against the table,”and nothing interesting, just training and whatnot, cleaning up after the half-siblings in my cabin.”she added answering her question. |

“Of course. Why else would I suggest training together?” Cat teased, nudging him lightly with her elbow. She wanted to show Jared how much she had improved lately, having become a little proud of how much she’s learned.
“There are a few ways, you just gotta know where to look.” Kumiko said, moving towards the gas station, “So, what do you wanna do once we get there? Go into the city?” She asked. It had been awhile since Kumiko was able to go shopping for new clothes, it’d be nice to be able to change up her outfit.
“I suppose it’s still on everyone’s minds. It’s been a long time since we’ve had an attack like that on the camp.” Echo said, sighing lightly. Giving a shake of her head she decided to change the subject, talking and speculating about it wouldn’t do anything. “I get how you feel. Sometimes it’s like I have to force my siblings to pick up after themselves.”

Blake raised an eyebrow as she eavesdropped on them talking about their plans for the city.
Nat nodded with an eyeroll,”honestly, it’s like they never learned how to clean up after themselves. Das really got around a lot too, I have way too many siblings,”she muttered, and then with a chuckled she looked at Echo,”and I’m sure you DO get, you do have a lot of siblings too,”she added, remembering how many were in the Aphrodite cabin.

They just finished making all the food for dinner, so the kitchen is all mine again.” Evelyn teased, though she had already begun to prepare her next test. "I hear you. No more talking about it." Kyo lifted his hands innocently, murmuring something lightly in Mandarin before focusing back on Phoenix and giving a small shrug. "The ususal things. Fixing weapons, forging new armor and swords... ah, well." He hesitated, before he glanced once towards the Ares cabin table, hoping to see if Robin was there. He looked away quickly, fingers tracing the grains of the table. "I guess I'm trying to also be more confident, when I speak to people. Some of these campers are so strong and so sure and me? Ah... not as much." He knew he was innately powerful, with abilities that not ever child of Hephaestus shared. The same flames that he conjured had been the same ones to destroy his home, all he had known. The accident would never leave his mind, and perhaps that was why he was not so keen to make his fire any stronger. Shyness made him less confident, though it was fear of hurting others that truly kept him holed up in the forge. Mathias stretched his arms, picking up a towel on his way out and slinging it around his shoulders as he trekked down towards the lake. The evening air was warm, but not stifling. Good for swimming, or for fighting, if he was lucky enough to see a monster or two try their luck with fighting him. He thought as he walked, how Nathanial seemed to be back to his usual activities, though he still felt a flicker of a scowl thinking about how he had left leadership to him last second and never finished their Capture the Flag plan. Once again, Mathis felt a coil of aggravation at the thought of leadership, of having to make decisions for others when fighting alone often worked best for him, or fighting under a properly planned order. Inwardly, he would never admit that he hated the idea of his leadership being the reason he or anyone he felt a sliver of care for was injured or lost the fight. Failure always ripped at him. Mathis lifted his hand slowly to thumb at the pendant around his neck, murmuring something up at the sky as he traced the red scarab with an old fondness, before letting his hand fall again, letting his mind ease. Now was not the time for all these stupid emotions anyway. |

Training tends to be pretty rough on them.” “They seem to think I’m their babysitter sometimes.” Echo teased lightly. She cared for most of her half siblings, but there were times they tended to get on her nerves. Echo glanced around the dining pavilion and noticed that Mathias had already left. He must have gone down to the beach like he said he would, she thought to herself. |

Kyo blinked, face flushing ever so slightly before he gave a light cough. "Well, I mean... that is..." He sighed, knowing that it was much harder to deny it when it was one of his half-siblings. He didn't tell her yet just who he had been admiring for so long, but he did concede with a small nod. "I doubt I could impress them... children of Ares tend to be so confident, and strong. I ah... don't know if a sword or a piece of metal would be much to offer. I know that compared to a normal person, I could win in a fight but against them? I'd probably waste their time." He blinked, before he smiled lightly at Phoenix.
"Thanks for the words though. That's very kind of you to say." He admitted.

Oh shoot, I was confused haha. I thought they ended up heading to see her new trick)
Jared made a face at her but easily conceded,”okay okay, I’ll see you tomorrow,”he agreed, tucking his hands into his pockets as they reached the Hecate cabin.
Spencer nodded,”yeah, I’m pretty sure there are tears in maybe…all of my clothes. I came here with jeans too, and training in jeans is not very fun,”she added as the cab pulled up in front of them. “And honestly, I kind of miss wearing dresses…and cute outfits,”she told Kumiko.
Nat chuckled lightly,”Can’t argue with that.”she sat at the table picking at her fingernails as she contemplated what was on her find. “So…this might seem a little out of the blue…but I have a proposition,”she turned to look at Echo. Echo was someone she considered a close friend, and someone she really trusted. She also knew that they worked well together and knew that she was the perfect person to ask for help. “I’ve been thinking…people seem to somewhat moved on from the attack but…it’s really out of the norm. And it’s got me thinking that it has to do with someone in camp,”she told her, knowing how serious of an accusation that could be. “I wanted to ask for your help. To try and get a clue or and idea of what’s going on, and see if there’s anything suspicious going on?”she asked her. “And I know you’re about as sly as Hermes kid too..”she added with a lighter note
