Claude grins and walks up to Nakita, casually throwing an arm around her shoulder. "Just the gal I've been looking for." He says with a smirk, bringing her in for a side hug as a greeting before loosening his hold. "I was just talking to Maylin at the stables and we thought we'd go see how you were, what you were up to, that kind of stuff." Claude told him, looking to Maylin now and raising his brows. "Plus, May had something she wanted to ask you, right?" He nodded his head towards Nakita, trying to be discreet about it, as a way of trying to encourage Maylin to ask her half-sister for help with training.

The way Shadow said her name, as if uncertain of who was actually talking, made Josie worry even more. She could hear whispers coming from the shadows that engulfed him, whispers of a traitor within camp. While that piqued her interest, Josie's attention was more focused on helping Shadow out of his trance. With worry deep in her expression, she frowns to Mathias once more before approaching Shadow cautiously. "It's me, Echo, and Mathias." She tells him, her voice even and calm. Josie hesitantly reaches a hand out as if she wants to place it on his shoulder, having moved to kneel in front of the other. She's afraid to make contact with the shadows surrounding Shadow's body, not knowing whether they would affect her or not, so she's yet to make any contact with him. Fran took comfort in their closeness, appreciating the fact that Blaze allowed the contact and didn't seem to flinch away. She takes one last deep breath before nodding, opening her eyes slowly to see his smile. It causes her to finally smile back and she, rather unwillingly, leans out of his personal space once again. "Yeah, that sounds good." She tells him, her tone much softer than before. Sweat slid down Shadow's face as he tried to force his powers to submit to his will. If he couldn't control himself, what would happen to others? Would the camp think he ordered the attack if he hurt others? No, he couldn't allow that to happened. Clenching his right hand into a fist, he reached out with his left and touched the dark barrier. You will submit to my control! Do not resist! He wasn't going to take any chances, but he wasn't even sure where Josie and the others stood, but hearing that Echo was present made him want to fight harder. Protect everyone, especially her. Fractures began to appear through the barrier and he yelled slightly, "protect yourself!" The barrier shattered into pieces like glass and Shadow fell back onto the ground, breathing heavily. He stared up at the sky his vision returning to normal. ----------- Blaze smiled as he stood straight up once again, rolling his shoulders a little. He glanced around wondering what they could do, but nothing came to him. Although he was a little afraid to go anywhere near the Demeter cabin for fear of setting it on fire with his newly-discovered powers, he also didn't want to go back to the beach. "Do you have any suggestions?" Blaze said with a laugh and rub of the back of his neck. |

This little exchange was honestly nice in Phi's eyes, getting to talk to another person of all this crud he has had to deal with was good.

"Protect yourself!" is all Josie heard next, bringing her arms up in time to cover her face as the shadows shattered away. She's not sure if they've hurt her in any way as she quickly examines her arms and sees there's been no harm done. Once she had assessed herself, she watched as Shadow fell back and she moved to kneel beside him. "Shadow, can you hear me? Are you alright?" Josie asked, her voice laced with concern. "Go get someone from the infirmary." She called out to Echo. "Here, I'm gonna lift your legs up a bit so they're elevated." Josie told Shadow, sitting on her knees and letting Shadow's regs rest on them, trying to help his circulation flow better if he was feeling faint. She casts a glance back to Mathias and frowns, her expression filled with uncertainty as she wasn't quite sure what had just happened. Frances could feel how unsure Blaze was in deciding what they should. She thinks for a moment, wondering that as well. "Maybe you could show me around the Forge, show off what you've been working on lately?" She suggested with a small smile. Fran very seldom went to the Forge, maybe having been in there once or twice to try sand convince Blaze to leave and hang out with her. There was just something about being in the extremely hot building surrounded by dangerous machinery that just didn't appeal to the daughter of Demeter.

Simon blinked a few times, mostly out of shock, but cracked a wide smile once Kylin was done explaining. "Woah..." he paused for a moment, to think, "That sounds pretty incredible. You must be crazy strong! I bet you'll get tons stronger while training here too." Simon leaned against one of the viney walls of the Demeter cabin, resting his chin on his hand.
"We should train together sometime, if you're up for it. I've been training a lot the past couple years to ace my special move. I wouldn't mind showing you it, if I can trust you that is." He sent Kylin a wink for more dramatic affect. Although Simon didn't usually go out of his way to greet new campers, this one seemed to interest him quite a lot, which could be a good thing, or bad.
"I wouldn't mind seeing your arm vines too." He let out a small laugh after mentioning Kylin's ability.
Gage let out a small snort, out of both annoyance and amusement.
"Do you know what Hypnos kids are known for? I can give you a lesson if you'd like." His deep tone changed from snarky to kind, seemingly suspicious coming from Gage. "And I'm surprised you aren't close to many people if you poke them when you're bored, usually that would catch some attention." This was probably the most he had spoken to someone in weeks, even though he hated social interactions, this conversation began to pique his interest.
[ I was thinking, at some point I plan on having Maylin completely lose control of herself (maybe during another monster attack situation, not sure what exactly you guys have planned for that,) but she's gonna go full hurricane mode owo ]
Maylin watched Claude as he pulled Nakita close in a friendly manner. They must be close, I didn't even realize. She couldn't help but feel a little awkward, like in most social situations, but in this case she almost felt as if she were intruding: until Claude started talking about her, of course.
"Oh! Um... yeah," she took in a deep breath, the clouds had not disappeared above them yet, but luckily it wasn't raining, "C-Claude and I were talking for awhile... W-we both think I should start training more so I can get better control of my powers." Maylin fumbled with her fingers for a moment, not looking either Claude or Nakita in the eyes. "W-would you be able to help me train, Nakita?" After she let out those last words, she felt a small weight taken off her chest, although she knew that only more anxiety was to come.

I get bored fast," Megan said with a shrug. "It's like... There are so many cool and interesting people here. Why stick to one group when you can learn about all of them? Besides, people usually start not liking me once they get pranked." She snorted a little, leaning up against the table. "Anyway. What're children of Hypnos known for, then? I mean, I can probably guess it's something to do with sleep, but... I don't bother to learn much beyond the basics when I could be doing other stuff." |

Kylin smiled. Arm vines? He thought. I can change my body to more than vines! He had a soft determined look on his face. He tried really hard, hoping it would work, he hadn't mastered the ability yet. He transformed his right arm into a sharp branch and sprouted vines out of his back. He smiled. He had done it on command! "Um- N-now you." He stuttered.

Galaxy, being able to turn into plants isn’t one of the abilities listed in Demeter’s abilities for her demigod children. Please keep in mind not to make your character overpowered.)

[ hey Ice, quick question before I do so - about Simon's "special move." I was planning on having him cause his fingertips to bleed while he plays the guitar, coating the strings in his blood. Then when he plays a song, using his audio kinesis and hemokinesis, the vibrations/amplifications of the guitar causes his blood drops (from the strings) to float, then turn 'solid.' I was hoping he could use this as sort of a "blood needle," like the Demeter kids using thorns as an attack. Would that be okay? ]

The last thing on Juniper’s mind was yesterday’s monster attack, she found it weird like everyone else but didn’t find the point in plotting when they had no leads whatsoever. Instead, Aphrodite’s daughter was lounging on a beach chair in her bikini. Her clothes were neatly folded on top of her towel on the sandy shores, eyes shut and a pair of sunglasses on the top of her head to keep her curly bangs off of her face. She exhales slowly and shifts slightly, enjoying the heat of the sun on her skin.
Jimmy stood at the climbing wall, hands on his hips and brows furrowed as he stares up at such a tall challenge. So far, Jimmy struggled with climbing, his arms getting too tired and sore to grant him a speedy climbing time. Though, he’s sure with more training he’ll gain more muscle in order to make it to the top without lava being poured on him. The son of Athena sat on the ground now, legs crossed as he continued to stare at the wall. His eyes were following what the fastest path would be, making and sketching out the path in his head.
(sorry these took so long lol i kept getting distracted)
