Phoenix gave an annoyed sigh at the sound of Levin's voice, turning her head to glare at him, Well, there goes my day. She thought to herself. Phoenix gave a nod to the Forge, "I'm sure someone in there will be more than willing to help you out. Or you could, you know, do it yourself. I'm taking a break." She said, starting to walk away.

"Aw. I guess I came by too late." Levin sighed, blinking owlishly at Phoenix before he lazily inspected his sword and gave another small grin. "I don't mind asking your siblings. Word around camp's that Jacob and Roxana, even Blaze, have their eyes on someone, all cute and stuff. You and Kyo though, not a peep of even a rumor on anyone you two like!" He gave a small laugh, as though hearing a funny joke, before he teased. "I'd be happy to ask Kyo to fix it if you won't. Think he'd give me a shot? He's cute, might be fun on a date if I can woo him while he fixes my sword." Levin inwardly gagged at the thought of dating or having feelings for anybody, but he hoped to rile Phoenix up enough to get her to let loose some of that power she had in her.

Phoenix stopped and glared at him, wishing that this kid would already take the hint and get lost. She didn't like the idea of him trying to get close to her half-siblings though, "Don't bother. You're no where near his type." She snapped, storming over to him and snatching the training sword out of his hand before making her way back into the the Forge. Grumbling to herself, she threw the weapon on to her work station and sat down to inspect it.

He whistled as he looked around. "You all really do have all the shiny stuff here, huh?" He marveled at the weapons and creations, itching to get his hands on the powerful ones he saw. He couldn't take any now, of course, but perhaps when the Campers were next busy. He looked at Phoenix again, humored. "I'm guessing I'm nowhere near your type, either? That's okay. You win some and lose some, I'm not too bothered. You look stressed. Did you sleep well?" He asked with a lazy crossing of his arms.

The branches swayed around Shadow as he sat high up in a large trunk of the tree. He opened and closed his eyes slowly, letting his body loosen in attempt to relax. A slight breeze moved through the leaves and also his dark hair. A small noise coming from the camp side of forest caught his attention and he glanced down to find Echo walking about ten feet from his free. He watched her for a few moments, noticing her head shake. He decided to take a guess at what was on her mind. "Don't let the future cause you worry. The more you dwell on the thoughts of a potential attack, the more we could be vulnerable to our own blindness."
------- While Kassie had finished up some tasks over at the Arts and Craft building, she thought of where her next destination would be for the day. She turned her head in a semi circle, her eyes settling on the archery range. Hmmm... I could brush up on my throwing knives. If anything, Kassie could even try out the bow again. Last time wasn't so good, but that didn't deter her from ever attempting it again. As she moved over to the range, she found Kumiko working on some arrows. "Oh! Hi! How are you Kumiko? Are those new arrows for capture the flag?" Kassie said, a bit excited to find someone else there.

"No offense, and I mean this with as much offense as possible, but I highly doubt you're anyone's type." She snarked at him, picking the blade up with her iron tongs and taking it over to the forge fire. Setting the blade inside to heat up for a minute, she turned back towards the son of Iris, "I slept just fine, not that it's any of your business. This might take awhile, and I'm sure you have more important things to do than stand around here."

She said, giving a small wave of greeting before she shoved her hands into her pockets. "I suppose that's true, but I guess I just like to prepared for anything that could go wrong." She said with a small shrug. Kumiko looked up from her arrows and gave Kassie a bright smile and wave, "Hello, Kassie! Yup! I was inspired, so I thought I would get a little crafty and test out some new ideas before the big game." She said, motioning to the pile of finished arrows sitting next to her. "I gotta be prepared, ya know? Hard to say what this game will bring us this time, so the other team, and any monsters that get any bright ideas, better watch out!" Kumiko added with a small giggle.

Jack tried to listen closely to see if the clacking was still going on, but didn’t hear anything. Did he just make a mistake? Maybe that dream he had just was messing with him. “Sorry, I think that my ears are playing tricks on me. Maybe being in this new loud place is weird.” (Is it Jack or James, I thought his name was James lol) "In our line of life, those aren't mistakes, hon." Rosaline reminded, her voice suddenly deep with careful warning as she looked around sharply. She nudged Jack onwards with a tap to his shoulder, speaking lowly. "If something out of the ordinary comes by, we might need to be ready to run or fight. I've got enough luck on my side to get us out of here unharmed if we play our cards right. So, keep your ears sharp, just in case."

"I'm only trying to fit in here. Aren't we all just trying to do that? It's hard to ignore you, Phoenix. You've got something special about you. I'm not talking about looks or anything pervy like that. No, this is way beyond those kinds of things." He pulled a small book from his sweatshirt pocket, holding it out to her. "I've been reading. About something interesting." He glanced down, where the writing in the book seemed to be talking about Demi-god children who had blood of more than one God or Goddess in them. He smiled softly. "What do you think about this? Lucky kids who could have many Gods and Goddesses in their blood?"

With a newfound confidense he started to walk forward, focusing on trying to listen his surroundings instead of walking properly with his cane, while saying, "Now let's find this store of yours." Since he wasn't paying much attention to where where he was walking he started to near a signpost.

"That sounds a lot like a quote Chiron said one time toward us," Shadow said as he turned to face her. He swung his legs over the trunk so they dangled in the air. "Expect disappointment and you'll never be disappointed. He was using it as an example to say that we cannot dwell on the uncertainty of the future or we will be consumed in trying to prevent it." Shadow stared down at Echo, his sight keen on watching her expressions and body language. While Shadow understood Echo's want to be prepared, he worried that she might be taking it too far.
`````````````` Kassie gave a light giggle as she watched Kumiko's excitement for her new arrows and the game this time around. She pushed a strand of hair out of her face, lightly tucking it behind her ear and pulled a few throwing knives from her sealed bag. "I mean that's not a bad idea. I won't ask what they do for now, but do we know the set teams yet?" Kassie asked curious if Kumiko and her would be on the same team. If she was then that would be awesome, but she would also be prepared for those arrows if Kumiko wasn't. She tossed one of her throwing knives up into the air a few feet before catching it again on the handle.
So you got a bunch of powers, great. Hope it helps when you get no rest having to evade monster after monster out in the real world."
"Look, powers are great and all, but they're dangerous if you don't use them correctly." She said sharply, raising the blade up from the anvil to inspect it. Satisfied that she had fixed all of the kinks and chips in the blade, she dropped it in the bucket of water next to her. "You mess around with something you have no control of and you're bound to hurt yourself or someone else. Powers aren't just some cool party trick that you can use to show off to your friends you know."
The one who can strike with lightning, the one who can create flames unlike any other?” Levin inquired with a thoughtful hum, looking right at Phoenix as he smiled. “Or the Hebe boy out there, Lloyd? Who’s only defense he has is a young face? Controllable or not, power is power, Phoenix. And it’s always the ones with the most of it who try and quiet the ones who desire some of it too.” He mused, turning to cross his arms leisurely behind his head with a chuckle. “But that’s just a thought, is all. Now you, you talked about lack of control. Are you sure it’s not just you lacking control? Fire’s got to be hard.” He crooned.
Echo leaned against a tree and crossed her arms as she looked up at him, giving a small shrug, "Each to their own I guess. I'd rather be ready for anything than to be caught without a weapon in my hand." She said. Echo had never been the type to leave things to chance, and even though she was good at improvising when it was needed, she'd rather have a plan and a backup plan in place if anything went wrong. "It's not that I'm uncertain of the future. I just want to be able to face it with the same confidence I would face any kind of problem." ____________ Kumiko started working on her next arrow, this one she was planning on making into a smoke bomb arrow. "I've heard a few whispers, but they haven't said anything to me yet. I know Aphrodite has Hermes and Ares on their side, and Athena has a lot of the smaller cabins with their team. That's all I really know about it right now." She said, her hands working quickly as she spoke. "I'm sure they'll announce it soon though, I mean the team captains will have to go over their plans with the head councilors at least once or twice before the game." Shadow bit the inside of his cheek, not surprised to Echo's response. He give a small sigh before leaning back into the dark shadow of the tree and fell into his shadow travel. He walked through the shadow of the tree across from where Echo leaned against her tree. The moment he crossed the threshold, his hands had a small shake to them as the energy depleted for the shadow travel usage. His eyes closed for a quick moment to regain himself, then he glanced over at Echo. "Said like a natural born leader. I can't say that I know the feeling, no one really allows me the opportunity to lead nor would I want to take it." Shadow was not much of a leader, his cold, quiet demeanor set him far aside from most others. "How are you approaching this capture the flag? Do you think whoever would attempt the same attack again?" --------------------- Kassie continued to toss her knife into the air, catching it without consistently watching the weapon sail up and down in the air. She giggled to herself for a moment. "Sadly, I don't even have any indication what side I'm on. Obsidian hasn't said anything to us," she said. If Athena had recruited the smaller cabins, Kassie wondered if they included hers. They only had seven cabin members, but Hecate was probably one of the stronger cabins especially if they could use their abilities. Kassie tossed the knife once, but as it tumbled through the air a slightly breeze tipped the angle and it came back down on her palm. She cried out as a slight cut swelled liquid red. "What the actual Hades!?" The tears began to form at the corners of her eyes, but she blinked them away before set to trying to use a piece of her flannel to wrap around her hand.
James was a bit surprised when he was suddenly grabbed by Rosaline. He let out a slight nervous chuckle he said, “Well I would love to ‘look alive’, but I kinda can’t do that.” He started tapping on the ground with his cane while asking, “Can you please not tell sis about nearly running into things? She would never let me live it down.” "Don't worry. I won't tell her." Rosaline laughed, waving her hand leisurely before she humored. "She's overprotective. Got that motherly instinct to her, she worries about everyone." She smiled softly, glad to have such a good set of friends in Evelyn and James. She approached the store, holding the door open for James and using her voice to guide him. "I got the door, slip right on in and we'll be in and out in a flash, promise." She teased. James chuckled slightly as he said, “You are telling me. The first time I meet big sis, she treated me like I couldn’t do anything. It was like I was made of glass. I had to draw the line at the first meal, especially when she asked if I needed her to eat.” As they came to the door he used Rosaline’s voice and walked into the store. He slightly flinched with all the noise in the store. Not only was their people walking and talking, but music was playing as well. Honestly, he felt like he was near the Apollo cabin. “Okay, so where is this dress at?”
"What matters is that you want to try in the first place. I mean, Lloyd's only combat skills are minimal with a sword, and his inherited abilities are limited to looking healthier and aging more slowly than others. And yet, he's respected for his kindness, and his outdoors skills." Valen reminded, hoping that Emma didn't think he wouldn't respect her just because she was training to better her skills. Even if she didn't, he would want to spend time with her and get to know her. "Sometimes battles and fights are won with anything but a weapon." Emma shrugged. What he said was true, but she couldn’t help feeling a little useless with her lack of battle skills. One of the main activities in Camp Half-Blood was combat training, and she didn’t want to seem like she was weak. “True,” she replied, “But still, a lot of things here revolve around battle strategy and strength. And, unlike Lloyd, I don’t have outdoors skills. That’s why I’ve been training hard.” The main point was that she was trying her hardest to get stronger. She didn’t want for people to have to save her during combat; she wanted to be able to save herself.
Echo leaned against a tree and crossed her arms as she looked up at him, giving a small shrug, "Each to their own I guess. I'd rather be ready for anything than to be caught without a weapon in my hand." She said. Echo had never been the type to leave things to chance, and even though she was good at improvising when it was needed, she'd rather have a plan and a backup plan in place if anything went wrong. "It's not that I'm uncertain of the future. I just want to be able to face it with the same confidence I would face any kind of problem." ____________ Kumiko started working on her next arrow, this one she was planning on making into a smoke bomb arrow. "I've heard a few whispers, but they haven't said anything to me yet. I know Aphrodite has Hermes and Ares on their side, and Athena has a lot of the smaller cabins with their team. That's all I really know about it right now." She said, her hands working quickly as she spoke. "I'm sure they'll announce it soon though, I mean the team captains will have to go over their plans with the head councilors at least once or twice before the game." Shadow bit the inside of his cheek, not surprised to Echo's response. He give a small sigh before leaning back into the dark shadow of the tree and fell into his shadow travel. He walked through the shadow of the tree across from where Echo leaned against her tree. The moment he crossed the threshold, his hands had a small shake to them as the energy depleted for the shadow travel usage. His eyes closed for a quick moment to regain himself, then he glanced over at Echo. "Said like a natural born leader. I can't say that I know the feeling, no one really allows me the opportunity to lead nor would I want to take it." Shadow was not much of a leader, his cold, quiet demeanor set him far aside from most others. "How are you approaching this capture the flag? Do you think whoever would attempt the same attack again?" --------------------- Kassie continued to toss her knife into the air, catching it without consistently watching the weapon sail up and down in the air. She giggled to herself for a moment. "Sadly, I don't even have any indication what side I'm on. Obsidian hasn't said anything to us," she said. If Athena had recruited the smaller cabins, Kassie wondered if they included hers. They only had seven cabin members, but Hecate was probably one of the stronger cabins especially if they could use their abilities. Kassie tossed the knife once, but as it tumbled through the air a slightly breeze tipped the angle and it came back down on her palm. She cried out as a slight cut swelled liquid red. "What the actual Hades!?" The tears began to form at the corners of her eyes, but she blinked them away before set to trying to use a piece of her flannel to wrap around her hand. Echo turned her head when Shadow disappeared from his spot on the tree and looked at where he reappeared again. She gave a small sigh and shrugged, "It's hard to say for sure, but I doubt that whoever is behind the attack will risk something like that again. Not when the whole camp will be on edge after the last attack." She said, uncrossing her arms and shoving her hands into her jacket pockets. "For now, I'll just focus on making sure to keep the Athena cabin on their toes. I'm not about to let them think that they're in for an easy win." I'll also be sure to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity from any campers that might be linked to the first attack as well. Echo thought, choosing to keep such thoughts to herself. She had suspicions on who could be behind everything that had happened recently, but she didn't want to make any accusations without any solid proof just yet. ---------------- Kumiko looked up from her arrows at Kassie's cry, "Are you okay?" She asked, her eyes landing on the cut. "I got some bandages in my bag if you want to use that instead of your shirt." Kumiko offered, setting aside her arrows and pulling her bag closer to dig around inside it for a bandage or two. "You should be more careful when you do that, ya know? You're lucky it's just a small cut, you coulda cut a finger off like that!" She chided gently, always the healer.
(Ice, I have a slight idea, is there a way to possible falsely incriminate Shadow, like "wrong place, wrong time" situation? I feel like that could help keep the plot going if you'd like to carry out more issues with the traitor)
Shadow gave a small gulp of air before nodding at Echo's strategy. While he didn't disagree with traitor will likely lay low for this game, he still had a hunch that something was going to happen very soon after. The silver lining was just hanging there and Shadow wanted nothing more than to act, but truly it wasn't his call. "I don't think they would be in for an easy win, no matter if you was the lead cabin or not." He said, a small smirk creasing lines of his cheeks. "Is Hades with you or are we on their side?" Shadow wanted to know whether he would run with her or if he would face her on the other side of the battlefield.
If we are on opposite sides, I don't think I could face her logically. She's too smart, sometimes even smarter than the Athena cabin. Shadow's thoughts clashed. He didn't participate often in their little games, but he would rather be in the thick of battle instead of viewing from the outside.
Kassie grimaced as she tried to get some type of pressure on her wound. "Yes if you don't mind," she gasped. She moved closer to Kumiko and held out her hand. "Sadly, this isn't the first time I've done." Kassie mentioned before turning her hand over to show five other scars, ranging from a nick to a few inches long. She gave a small shrug of her shoulders as the cuts all healed in time and she learned more and more about throwing knives. "Each one represents the knowledge I gained from them. From this one I will learn that even the slightest bit of wind can alter the trajectory of the knife," Kassie said with a pained smile. She turned her hand back over to show the wound once again so Kumiko could help bandage it.
Jace sat on the dock, swinging his legs over the edge. After being at camp for a few years, things started to get boring. Especially after the whole, "I'm a half-blood" thing wears off. It's not like being a half-blood was that special anyways. There were probably thousands of them around the world, even if they didn't know it. What bothered him most about being half-blood was the fact that his father had cheated on his mother. He brought his hands up to his face and lied his back down on the dock. "Ugh..." He groaned. [Open] -------------------- Ryver walked aimlessly around camp. He was currently debating whether he wanted to train with weapons or do literally any other activity. Training was probably the better option, but he'd already trained a lot in the past few days and his muscles were beginning to ache. All this walking probably wasn't helping his aching muscles either. He decided to stop near a tree and stand there to continue his thinking. [Open] -------------------- Will sat on the steps to the Dionysus kids cabin, tapping his hands on his knees. He wanted to talk to somebody, but who? He couldn't think of many people who wanted to talk to him. Probably had to do with how weird he usually came off as. He tucked a lose strand of hair behind his ear and got up from the step. His feet eventually led him to the climbing wall. Will stared up at it before beginning to climb up. [Open] (Some starters because I'm bored.)
