Kumiko perked up instantly at Jacob’s suggestion, but frowned when he teased her. She poked him in the side, “I’ll have you know that I am an extreme rule breaker! You can’t intimidate me with that. So, what is it? What’s your idea?” She said, eyes sparking with excitement. Finally! Something fun to do! “Come on! Spill! You know I don’t like to be kept waiting.”

Nova’s frown deepened at that, not liking the thought of Ryder and Rey being forced out of the house. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back in her chair, a pout on her face, “So, what, you’re gonna take me on the run? If you get caught, you would be charged with kidnapping and be put in jail. Then I’ll be stuck here with those jerks.” She said.

“Just means we can’t get caught. I doubt they’d actually care about us anyway.” Ryder shrugged, though it was clear that he was deeply stressed by it all. He didn’t want to have Nova caught up in legal trouble. He released a heavy breath.

Rey looked at Nova. “As long as the three of us are together I don’t care what we do.” She spoke. She tended to be more level headed than Ryder, always the strategist. “If you want to leave we will.” She looked at her brother. She always had a plan and a backup to that plan.

Ryder looked at Rey with a glance of appreciation, knowing he could always depend on his twin sister. “First, we’ll need to prepare to leave. Money, documents, anything that ties us to them that can be traced, we need to have it all with us.” He started.

Evelyn sat down across from him, leaning on her elbows as she looked intently at the young man across from her. She smiled. “That’s red velvet cookies. White chocolate chips.” She asked. “Your rating, my esteemed taste tester?”

Rey smirked lightly, moving to sit on the edge of Novas bed. “Do you really think I haven’t had a backup plan in case things went south?” She spoke. “While they were at work one day I snuck in and switched out our documents. They have just blank pieces of paper.”

Ryder grinned brightly at Rey, knowing she had talked about doing it, but realizing she had actually done it was priceless. Even more so, he felt a rush of confidence when he shuffled his hand in his pocket, pulling out a worn wallet. He pulled out three cards, each with a picture and text on it, gleaming and clean.

“I got these bad boys made with some help from the guys I met in the juvenile hall that time I got holed up a week for tresspassing at that old factory. Turns out, they’ve got a real talent with fake I.D’s.” He smirked.

“Well… I suppose if you two have already got it all figured out.” Nova said with a sigh, finally relenting. “I’m guessing that the two of you already have a plan on how we’re getting out of here then.” She added, eyeing her older siblings.

Kumiko grinned at Jacob and hopped out of her chair, “Well, what are we waiting for then?” She said.

“What are you two planning?” Phoenix asked, walking into the camp forge and overhearing the last bit of Jacob and Kumiko’s conversation. She had left her spot at the beach after Lenny had bothered her, having lost the little bit of peace that she had managed to find.

Echo finished up with her chores at the stables and left, wondering what she should do now.

Kyo had finished his rounds at the training hall, carrying the damaged weapons back towards the forge. He stopped curiously though as he dropped them off, poking his head into the Hephaestus cabin door to eye Phoenix, who seemed to have just left and made her way over to where Kumiko and Jacob were talking in the forge.

Kyo gave a soft breath of laughter, wondering if Jacob would actually admit his true feelings towards Kumiko. That would be the day… Kyo inched a bit closer, often victim to his own intense curiosity when it came to his siblings.

Ryder looked at Rey, before he winked at Nova and lifted his hand to annoyingly ruffle her head. “Got that right, you little know-it-all. When have we ever not had a plan when it comes to you?”

Evelyn smiled at Drake’s invitation, taking a small cookie and popping it into her mouth. “You know I sample everything I make when I make it, you’re going to get me to gain a pound.” She teased, before she admitted. “It’ll taste just regular to me, but. Your opinion means much more. I’m glad you like them.”

Kyo overheard Jacob’s words, finally pushing into the forge to put down the damaged weapons. He glanced at Kumiko, giving a polite nod of greeting, before he spoke, quipped. “Does it involve weapons? There’s too many damaged ones already.”

Kyo perked up at Phoenix’s words. Unable to miss such a ripe opportunity, he tossed the weapons on the storage rack and looked innocently at Kumiko and Jacob. “I can go too, if you like. So Phoenix isn’t… uhm, that word.” He murmured, before recalling the term in english. “Third-wheeling?”

Why did the gods have to punish him like this? He just wanted to spend some alone time with Kumiko and now it was a whole party. “Yeah that’s fine.” Jacob grumbled. “You can come.” He went to grab his trap.

Rey looked at Nova. “I have an emergency fund.” She spoke. “Some money stashed away I’ve been keeping hidden in case of something like this.” She spoke. “The rest we can steal from them.” She suggested.

Kumiko gave Jacob a bright smile, “Great! I’m going to go get my bag from my cabin. I’ll meet up with you guys!” She said, giving a small wave before she quickly left the forge and made a beeline for her own cabin.

Phoenix grinned at Kyo and Roxana, glad that Jacob had agreed to letting them tag along. Maybe a change of scenery would help clear her head a bit, it had been awhile since she last left camp. Phoenix grabbed her bag from where she had left it at her station and slung it over her shoulder before she picked up her sword and quickly put it into its disguised form, a simple switchblade. She slipped it into her pocket and looked at the others, “I’m ready whenever you guys are.”

Roxana smiled and picked up her own bag, which was filled with odds and ends, as well as a few traps of her own. She gave the others a small nod when she was ready, her throwing knives already tucked away in their belt.

Echo had wandered towards the cabins and passed by the Camp Forge on her way. She paused, noticing a bit of commotion coming from the building.

“Guess I better start packing then.” Nova said, hopping off her chair and started reaching under her bed for her school bag. While she was under there, she remembered something else that she had put under there and grabbed it as well, “Oh yeah, did one of you guys leave this on my bed this morning?” She asked, dropping the leather crossbody bag on the bed next to her school bag. “I know my birthday is coming up next month, but it’s a bit early for presents, don’t you think? Not only that, but it looks like a designer bag, and it’s made out of leather, so it must have cost a fortune.” Nova added, looking at her brother and sister with a light frown on her face. As much as she liked the bag, she didn’t like the idea of them spending so much money on her. “Really guys, you don’t need to go through that much trouble for my birthday.”
