i just started on them yesterday and i have a pounding headache, almost puked, and am feeling really tired
according to my doctor, these are all normal for the first couple of days, but i figured that some of you guys have been on them before, so any tips for feeling better for the first few days?

what are you on if you dont mind me asking? lexapro .-. ah so it's an ssri i've never taken lexapro but i've taken 2 other ssri's and i am currently on one so i know what you're going through because i found the first few days very difficult. honestly the best way to get through it is take some paracetamol (you can take that with ssri's) and try to distract yourself. you can take ibuprofen if you need to, but for no more than a 5 days at a time. distract yourself, make sure you eat (i know you dont feel like it but it can make a lot of difference) and don't do anything too strenuous and you will get through it ssri's work by blocking part of the neurons in your brain so that reuptake can't happen and the chemicals which calm your brain down (serotonin) will stay in your synapse. so there's not wonder you've got these side effects, it's essentially blocking part of your brain. but you will get used to it

i'm on an snri which is v similar and i had the same thing. sleep sleep sleep. it will help for a little bit once you wake up, and then if you want/need to you can get some stuff done. there's really nothing else you can do other than wait it out. good luck!
