haven't read much of anything except geology articles recently. picked up From Blood and Ash at the library but haven't started it yet. I've heard very mixed reviews for it and i think it's kind of a fluff fantasy-romance YA novel? not my usual style but honestly i could do w/ some easy reading after all the geochemistry lol

That sounds relatable.
I've had "The Boggart and the Monster" sitting on my shelf for ages - and I do mean ages - and I wanted to read something short. So I'm reading that now.

Finally finished Six of Crows, and I'm almost done with Crooked Kingdom. I'm late to the party lol these books were released like 5/6 years ago but I figured now was a good time to get to them since the show's out next month.

Finished Crooked Kingdom a little while ago. Have somewhat mixed feelings about it and the series in general. It was definitely better than the Grisha Trilogy though.

Just finished the first ACoTaR book! The best part of the book was honestly the fight with the giant worm at the end, idk about the rest. I've been told the rest of the series is better though.
Now I'm halfway through This is How You Lose the Time War, which I'm really enjoying even if the language is a little overwhelming at times.

Not including the Warriors series, I'm currently reading Noughts & Crosses, A Tale Of Two Cities, AC: Unity (Book), Carve The Mark, The Night Circus and an uncountable amount of Wattpad books.

I've recently started reading "The Fault in Our Stars" and by the way, I wasn't really into romance novels, they kinda weird me out a bit, but this book is actually pretty good for my liking and it's cute. I've had this book for a while without reading it but what inspired me to read the book was while watching Antman and The Wasp, I think I'm gonna need tissues for this one, then when I get the chance to see the movie.

John Green also does a good book called, 'Looking for Alaska'. I don't quite know why I'm so infatuated with the book, or why I've read it three times... I mean..it's not even all that interesting, however it's quite unique and also explores quite an interesting perspective of romance and what it's like to pine over someone!

I've been trying to read the Sun Trail in German, but otherwise haven't been reading much. Unless you count webcomics. I've been reading a couple of those.

Hi, so I saw this and thought, Wait. I can finally talk to someone aboutbooks since 2020. So, cool.
Just started the chronicles of narnia, way too late. And im thinking about buying the art of war. Opinions? And, of course, buying every warriors book that comes out immedietly. Hi. Bye.

The Chronicles of Narnia were my childhood. XD So was Harry Potter, come to that. It was a well written series that I never realized was just basically the Fantasy version of the Bible until much later.
The Art of War looks very interesting, but I've only read excerpts.

I'm in the middle of so many books and not close to finishing a single one of them lol Debating on adding to my list by attempting to read His Dark Materials. I've read the first book several times and have never gotten further than that cause The Subtle Knife always loses my interest within a couple chapters, but I want to try the show and I'd like to read the latter books before I watch an adaptation of them.

Oh, what was so annoying about the Amber Spyglass? just curious bc most people I know usually tell me the series gets better further in, not worse.
I've also been reading up abt the religious controversy regarding this series and it's very interesting lol

I have just read the newest Bravelands book before its release date, kinda feels like a fever dream. It was a good book, solid protagonists, it was interesting and very weird on some bits, I would definitely read book 2 when it's out. Now I will be moving on to re-reading the first book of Seekers

1) I enjoy the Secret of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel But 2) The main characters are so boooooooring. Honestly, the author should have just solely written about historical and mythological figures. Because honestly the rivalries between all these immortals is ten times more interesting then anything the two humans have going on. Then the only issue would be that the author gets pretty bogged down in exposition dumps or recaps sometimes. It's hardly necessary to read the previous books, because the author does a paragraph summary of anything that's important. Also the 'tell instead of show' is pretty heavy, He ended up creating this large, complex world ... But then we have one immortal telling another immortal what sorts of magical creature this is when logically the other immortal should know. And a character comes back going "Yeah, there's bad things in the water" and unlocks exposition dump about what it is. No. No. Show us the character getting attacked by the things in the water. Then maybe have her frantically try to remember the pertinent information about them. I don't need to know that there are only 16 in the world. I need to know if they have teeth.
