okay, forms are started! i did want to note that i had an idea for hollypaw - their storyline is that they get attacked by a predator as a kit and become selectively mute from the trauma of it, and i was thinking that when it happens here, they hold resentment for shadowstar (maybe if he's young enough, he was deputy when it happened?) for not keeping the predator out of camp. this makes them vulnerable to the dark forest, and they become a recruit because the dark forest promises to make them strong enough that something like that never happens again
also 𝑓𝑜𝑥 - what is hickorybreeze's sexuality, by chance? you called him a big flirt and i just imagined bumblebriar trying to flirt and then getting flirted with and becoming a blushing and flustered mess xD

let's pretend this didn't take 83 years for me to get done
Sparrowfall | Sparrowfall is, to most, a handsome cat. He is gifted with a dark brown tabby pelt and an agile form - with his flank having a larger dark spot on the left. He has large, forest green eyes and a gaze that’s full of understanding and mystique. He’s definitely not the largest tom - his frame is fairly average, and his short, sleek fur doesn’t do much to add to his already typical size. Sparrowfall is definitely a hardworking tom, who strove hard for the position he’s in currently. To him, public image is almost everything, and as such, is kind natured towards everyone he meets; he’s gifted with a silver tongue, and is certainly quite the charmer. In all honesty, the tom’s relationship with StarClan isn’t the strongest - he acknowledges the presence of his ancestors, though has never been able tot believe fully in them and their ability. Sparrowfall is quite the social butterfly and is nothing short of amiable, though with how his personality shifts to accommodate whoever he’s speaking to at the time, he has no clue who his authentic self really is - and fears that in truth, he’s not the altruistic tom that so many think he is. He’s not the most keen on family and kin, though he doesn’t want to be “that cat” who abandons the ones who care about him, even if he doesn’t want to reciprocate their affection. He fears change and remains in situations that may seem damaging to him for the sake of preserving his social image, and, though extroverted, Sparrowfall will almost never open up on personal struggle - along with his kind demeanor, strength is one that he has to uphold as well. He tends to get overwhelmed and bothered about the smaller things, though he has never once opened up for fear of being regarded as not strong enough for his position in the Clan. The issue with this comes when one realizes that everyone has a breaking point - even him. rose Deputy Fawnskip’s mate (and free to any other kin) An unlit path.
Duskshade | Duskshade is a primarily gray she-cat with white splotches daintily speckled across her fur. With a silvery hue in direct sunlight, and pale, watery green eyes - topped off with a smaller than average frame - the she-cat seems far from threatening. Though, in truth, she isn’t the most balanced and it could be said that her mentor failed her in the realm of hunting, the molly is a gifted fighter. She is certainly short tempered, and though she succeeds in holding her tongue from sparking remarks that are too harsh, she remains a very sarcastic she-cat. Duskshade holds grudges easily, and will go moons refusing to speak to a cat if she feels they’ve done her or someone she loves wrong. Despite it all, though, the molly has strong maternal instincts and often finds herself visiting the nursery; genuinely, the sentiment applies to anyone younger than the she-cat - however tough she may be on apprentices, she wants nothing more than to see them succeed. rose Warrior Open to anything :-)
Briarpaw | Briarpaw is a patched tabby she-cat with large, owl like eyes. Often full of wonder and curiosity, the she-cat’s eyes are the soft, subtle hues of new-leaf. To be blunt, Briarpaw is naive. She’s very kind and fragile, though tries to play the role of a molly who doesn’t care about anyone else’s opinions. She’s too trusting and will latch onto others for a sense of security, though her friendships don’t often last, and in all honesty - she’s quick to get insecure and try to “blend into the crowd”. She has a fear of standing out in a way where others won’t really like her, which clashes with the persona she tries so hard to play. rose Apprentice Open to anything :-)

Dustberry / Shadowstar 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ
Dustberry couldn't hide a unconvinced look from covering her face. Did the leader truly take entertainment in the threat of being addressed by bold kits as he went about his day? She almost suggested that he take Hawkkit for a day, if he found him so amusing, but stopped short of the sass. She offered a flattered smile instead, and purred graciously, "How nice it is to have a leader that sees the same joy in a kit as we queens do. They have minds and tongues more brazen than many warriors, in my experience." Before they're taught how to behave like proper clan members, she added coarsely in her head.
With a sinking feeling in her stomach, she began to remember exasperatedly that she had more than one kit. And, moreover, that only one was next to her. They were probably still sleeping in the nursery, the sweet little she-kits had better sense than their brother. This was, of course, a lie Dustberry told herself often to disbelieve the reality of the energetic kits she had been sent, all three with paws ready to sprint away from the nursery as soon as she closed an eye. "Shadowstar's right, Hawkkit. You need ask before you run off. Why could you not wait until I woke up like Owlkit and Eaglekit?" she bluffed, hoping the kit would truly believe his sisters were still waiting patiently in the nursery. Dustberry shook thoughts of them from her mind. Had she even checked that they were still asleep before running off to find him?
Hawkkit / Shadowstar 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ
Hawkkit glowered from inside the curl of his mothers tail. He looked ridiculous, her tail hardly even reached fully around his bulky form anymore. He still thought of the leader's words to him, even as his mother blathered on, much to his dismay. Hawkkit wanted to learn what Shadowstar knew about being a warrior, what he apparently knew so well that it landed him as leader. If Hawkkit had to focus on more than just fighting to become the most powerful warrior, how could he get a head start in that? His round eyes searched Shadowstar's expressions as the tom listened to Dustberry. He sincerely hoped entertaining lazy queens wasn't what it took to be the best warrior, as Hawkkit wasn't sure how much he could withstand such toil. His mother's question to him made him smirk. He doubted Owlkit and Eaglekit were patiently waiting and behaving alone in the nursery, the little tabby was confident that he wasn't the worst of his litter like his mother tried to make him seem. "I'm sorry, Shadowstar. I'll let you know when I leave next time," he mewed to Dustberry, shirking off her grasp. The striped kit was loath to leave a conversation with the leader, especially when Dustberry had taken up most of their time together with her niceties.

Larchfire / Hazelleap Jingle : Warrior's Den
Larchfire crouched in her nest, shadowed in the very back of the Warrior's Den. Dustberry's cried had woken her as well, and the keen survivor had likewise thought the worst, as any warrior should if awoken to such wails of woe. However, her strategy was to stay still and alert, not taking action unless action was needed. Others could just as well deal with a threat, and Larchfire would rather not be the first in the line of attack. She watched as Hazelleap chanced outside the den, whispering anxiously, prayers, she supposed. He then made a prompt return after some time. Larchfire therefore presumed there was no beast in the camp. Even so, she was happier to learn news from someone else than to move her tired self out to see it with her own eyes. "Well, Hazelleap?" she questioned in her honey-smooth deep tone, green eyes piercing into the tom from the shade. "Have StarClan themselves come down to greet us all, or is there a fire in our midst? Maybe a fox snatching a kit?" It amused her how easily some cats panicked at the first signs of trouble. Clearly, the cries came from a cat unprepared for danger, yet another of Larchfire's several clanmates who learned to be a warrior but never thought they'd need their skills.

The laughter rushed out this time, making her self conscious. She quickly stifled it and chose a small mouse for herself, it wasn't much and it seemed staler than the queen's but she didn't find it unappealing. Especially since she tried to eat the more stale prey often, it would open up the newer pieces for those that needed it more. After they both had their pieces, Littleglow led them to a small corner of the camp, settling herself down with the mouse. She listened to the she-cat's words, flicking her ears every now and then in acknowledgement before opening her mouth.
"That's okay, a lot of queens take that route. I only ask because I find it quiet intriguing, the naming process of some cats. I mean who looks to a just born kit and comes up with..." She tried to think of an odd name, floating them all through her head. "Well take Lochsight, he doesn't really look like a Loch to me." She mused, whiskers twitching. "I think Little fits me well enough though, if I'm honest. My mother certainly knew what she was doing." She joked, taking a bite of her mouse finally.

Shadowstar acknowledged the queen's flattery with little more than a sideways glance, never one to pay too much heed to his clanmate's compliments. Especially given he had a strong feeling they were mostly skewed now that he was the one leading them. He chuckled quietly, watching the mother and son dynamic with fairly well contained amusement, a memory all to present for the young tom. I'm never having kits. He made an oath to himself, though the thought rarely crossed his mind, it was moment's like these that put him off to say the least. Quite content to simply watch from afar, and play if and when invited, but otherwise for the most part that was all he was willing to involve himself with. That and the utter lack of a mate and the will to find one made the prospect a distant one to say the least. All too aware that the mother's warnings would last at best a few days before they became a distant memory and the kit would be about his escaping ways again, Shadowstar simply nodded. In truth the leader probably looked forward to Hawkkit's apprentice-hood almost as much as the youngster, for at least then he could supply the kitten a... more reliable mentor to keep an eye on him. Dustberry loved her kits; the leader had no doubt about that in his mind, but Hawkkit would no doubt thrive a little more under a more careful warrior's supervision. That and it would at least mean the clan could get something in the way of a sleep in once in a while, without being jolted awake by screams that could rouse StarClan from their nests. Her mention of her other two kits made the tabby tom twitch his ears curiously, "And where are the other two out of curiosity?" He asked, wondering if it would be necessary to set a search party, only to find that the pair hadn't even left their nests just yet. That smile was a little less well stifled.
The queen began quietly devouring her meal, distracted and clearly not enjoying the process but she had to admit it did taste quite delicious. And at the very least her kits seemed to appreciate her efforts, the now familiar sensation of tiny paws paddling against her ribs renewing as she ate. She paused to flatten a disobedient stray patch of fur against her hindquarters, but quickly returned her attention to the matter at hand. She listened to the medicine cat with an ear perked in that direction, socialisation was far from her favourite thing to do, but she appreciated the shecat's efforts. Fawnskip chuckled quietly as she listened, her head cocking to one side; contemplative. "Do I look much like a fawn?" She considered quietly, wrapping her tail neatly around her frame. She cast a glance back at her black and golden splashed frame, wondering for the first time what in the name of the stars had possessed her mother when that was the name chosen for her. She supposed she didn't dislike her name, but now it wouldn't be long before she'd have to be picking a few for her own children, she was genuinely curious as to how her mother had decided. Little did indeed suit the medicine cat, Fawnskip could admit to that much at least. Though if most mothers used that naming convention the shecat knew half the clan would share similar names. From Averagescratch to Tinycreek or Largesplash. The queen stifled a light chuckle at the thought. "I might leave it all to Sparrowfall at this rate," she decided with a twitch of her whiskers. Glancing about camp with curiosity as to where the deputy was, "No doubt he'll think of something much better." She decided quietly.

She noted it was true, she looked nothing like fawn in her opinion but it seemed some queen's didn't conform to the usual naming system. It certainly made things more interesting that way for them. If all cats followed the same rules, the clan would be over-run with too many duplicates of names. When she brought up letting him name them, she brushed it off and shook her head.
"I don't think you want him to name all of them, surely you'd like to take part in something so big for the kits right?" She hesistated, wondering if she would be speaking out of place if she continued on. If you do, that's fine. You're a medicine cat now, no cat can control you besides the leader. "I mean, I'm sure you'll have some good ones when the time comes. Some mothers just have the name call to them upon seeing the kit. I wouldn't stress over it too much, you'll do fine." She took a few more quick bites of the prey before licking around her muzzle and bringing herself to the sitting position.

Would anyone be against the kits being born today?
The calico only shrugged her shoulders initially, a discomfort taking hold of her frame but that had become quite the common trend of recent, so she didn't take the effort to mention it. She pushed aside her half eaten prey, appetite increased insignificantly and seeming to have appeased the wants of her kittens. "He'll no doubt be much better nontheless," she replied easily. Her mate was usually the more talented creature when it came to... well most things, at least in the opinion of the shy queen. "I don't mind if he names them Kitkit and Pawkit," she decided with something akin to laughter in her eyes, but it wasn't conveyed too well in her tone. "As long as their healthy," she decided. For that was the queen's worst fear, not only that she would turn out to be a terrible mother, but that she would fail in even that first minor hurdle. Maybe that was why her little ones were insistant on not meeting the world, instead knowing she was only doomed to fail them. Sighing quietly, she rested her head on her paws. Gaze flicking upright as she watched the medicine cat lift herself.
