Do people spend like 300 dollars on headphones that they NEVER use?
One of the house goblins, is playing a video game SO loudly, like, the house is literally shaking.
My eye has been twitching alllll day because of the noise.
I'm sorry for complaining about something so trivial, but I am extremely noise sensitive, and this is making my blood pressure shoot through the roof or something.

"House Goblins"
lmao.
I'm really sorry. I never understood what the point of buying super expensive headphones is in the first place when better or equal quality can be cheaper.

Saint AmbrosefI'm sorry you're noise sensitive as well..it really sucks, especially when living in a household with a baby, and two people who listen to things like they're hard of hearing, when they're not. Though, I suspect they will be if they keep this up. LeapkitXD Me neither, like, they seem to have to buy a new pair of headphones, every other month or so, and I still have my 5 dollar pair of headphones, that have lasted me for years.

I had a $10 pair that lasted me for about 4-5 years with me using them daily and bringig them to school. They were neat, they swiveled so that both ear pieces could be turned outwards and I could listen to something with another person and they could lay completely flat in my backpack and not take up much room. When they broke I asked for a new pair exactly like the old pair and my mom got me $70 pair of like, off-brand beats. They're HUGE and clunky and the ear pieces keep falling off every time I turn around so I've had to superglue them in place and I had to wear them around my neck instead of putting them in my backpack. I still have them but only because I rarely use them and I'm gentler with my things than most people around me it seems.

That's really cool that they lasted you that long, but it's sad that they broke. It seems like with a lot of stuff, the cheaper something is, the longer it lasts

So, he is listened to his crap even louder now, and my sister was like, "It is really loud." And he was like, "So?" I am literally shaking, and I feel on the verge of a panic attack, which I know is really dumb, because it's just noise, but ugh

Can you go on a walk or just sit on the porch or something? He finally stopped playing the game I wish I had a porch lol, I live on an upstair's apartment building. Going for a walk would be a good idea, hopefully there's no kids outside. I just want some peace and quiet, but that never seems to happen anymore

Though, I suspect they will be if they keep this up. The one thing I'm worried about when starting a family in a few years is the potential over-stimulation with noise. I love my four nephews to death, but even being around them for a few hours, I have to retreat to my room and have quiet time. But, my dad is similarly noise sensitive, and my parents managed to raise five kids without driving himself mad. So I know it's possible. I think kids can be taught to be much quieter than the usually get away with--a lot of parents just dismiss it as "oh thats just how kids are" but in truth, they don't have to be.

I wish you the best of luck, whenever you decide to start a family. I hope my nephew is easy to teach how to be quiet, but he's started doing this thing where he'll screech as loud as he can..I honestly think he learned it from my sister's friend's baby, because she does it ALL the time.

He's still quite young, judging by what you've said in the past. Sometimes babies do stuff just to see how it works. Kinda like how they'll keep throwing things off their high chair-- it's not because they're trying to frustrate their mom, but because they're figuring out that gravity is a thing! And it's cool! They wanna do it again and again. It's hard to teach them when they're that little, since they only understand so much. But it's a concept you can definitely introduce. Once he's a proper toddler, it's an easier concept to communicate.

I got a 30$ pair of headphones that have lasted longer and worked better than any pair of headphones I've ever owned. They allow you to know where noises are coming from. Headphones actually give you an advantage in gaming.

Those sound really awesome Frankly, I don't understand why someone would game without headphones, unless someone is watching them or they're playing with others in split screen. what you should do is train up at whatever game they're playing, challenge them to do a 1v1 and thrash them. Every time you hear them gaming without headphones, make sure they know that you know they;re playing because you can hear it, and spam them with invites. they'll eventually use headphones to stop you from knowing they're on.

Maybe they find wearing them uncomfortable after awhile? I have no idea, but you make a very good point
