Acrobat stepped back, finally pulling off his mask to reveal the almost equally as recognizable face of Rucker Rockhart. "I'm not gonna go into that whole spiel about how you guys are the best of the best and blah, blah, blah because I don't believe that. You know why I don't believe that? Because I was where you were a couple years back and I know that me and my housemates all had a lot to learn. They let the arrogance get to their heads and I'm the only one that ever moved up. So my introduction? It's a word of advice. Believe in yourself, but don't let your confidence blind you. Only one of you is gonna get what you want. Be careful who you trust, but know that you guys will have to rely on each other for the upcoming days, weeks, months, whatever."He backed up and it the camera caught the rest of the team behind him all participating in their daily activities.
"And good luck."---Some of the most promising young superheroes were recently invited to live in the Wheeler House to hone their skills and show off what they've learned to the members of the local superhero team.
In Last Shot, each member will have two characters. One is a recent graduate vying for a recently vacated spot to be a career superhero, fighting crime and pushing their powers to the limit. The other character will already be a member of that team, one that has won their spot and has to deal with the everyday ups and downs of being a hero. |

The World This is a world very much like ours, taking place in an unspecified city in America during an unspecified present day year. The only difference between this world and ours is that normal citizens have superpowers. It's a rare occurrence with a strong genetic component, but also occurs with occasional mutations. The supers are governed by the Super Managing Agency. The SMA works hard to keep tabs on their members, keep the identities of their heroes a secret, and educate the next generation of heroes. Most heroes are individually mentored by older heroes, but also attend a school in an undisclosed location from ages 16-18.
The Powers -- Powers, while an innate part of one's being -- take a lot of energy to use. Most people with powers tend to take on normal careers, bordering on more risky because of their enhancements. A select few actually graduate and are assigned somewhere to work and protect the citizens. These heroes tend to retire early (around their 30s) due to the toll it takes on their body.
The Houses -- The SMA owns two houses in each location that they station hero teams. In our location, the houses are known as the Wheeler House and the Murphy House. Wheeler is used for the team prospects. When there are none, then it houses any traveling supers that need somewhere to live. Murphy, lovingly dubbed the Clubhouse, is home to the team itself, and is always inhabited. |

Rules and Forms
Rules
The rules are the basics found in most threads, with a few additions of mine. The first is to respect forum rules and each other. It's no fun to be disrespected and unheard in a rp. The next rule is to type at least a paragraph of text. I'm not gonna ask for crazy amounts, but I want enough for people to respond to. More is welcome. I just want to make sure each post is enough to tell a story. Plots are encouraged, but must be accepted by others and not push people out. I don't want this to focus on just one or two characters when there's a bright and colorful cast full of characters that all deserve the spotlight. Powers can be unique or cliche. They can be similar to others, but not exact copies, and they shouldn't be overpowered. Lastly, due to the nature of this being a small group, I ask that you create a max of two main characters, though side characters, NPCs, and future/minor villains are encouraged

Rucker Rockhart || 25 || Male || Acrobat
-- Rucker doesn't look far off from a typical high school jock, despite his age making him look very clearly out of high school. He's about 6'2 and built solidly. He isn't as muscular as some, but clearly has some strength. His eyes are dark brown and he has curly brown hair that's short on the sides and a bit longer on top. As Acrobat, he wears a red and white mask and red supersuit. Rucker has an overload of confidence and he shows it. While he takes his job as leader of the team seriously, those serious moments are hard to find. He's always on the go and likes to push the rules are far as he possibly can.

Tia Current || 18 || Female || Static
-- Tia is about 5'5 and skinny. Her hair is dark brown, almost black, and goes down to just past her shoulders, but she usually has it braided. She has a tattoo on her inner arm of a lightning strike and a quote from her mom. She has a small scar over her right cheekbone. As Static, she dresses in a purple and black color scheme. Tia is very tough and doesn't take any sass from anyone. She's very quiet, but surprisingly has some good jokes when she actually does talk. She's very confident in herself and her skills. She has a tendency to participate in more physical activities and doesn't really have the patience or focus for other stuff. She also plays guitar and owns a motorcycle.
-- Electric Manipulation - Static has control over small amounts of electricity and is able to guide but not control larger amounts such as lightning and electrical devices. She also cannot use this power in rain and risks getting shocked herself if using the power when she's wet.
