It's no secret that pretty much everyone hates her name. I actually really like it though, it's pretty, and the reasoning for it is really nice. Besides, it could have been worse, she could have been named Twigstick.

I liked Bramblestar's reasoning for it as well. I don't hate the name, I'm just not it's biggest fan, and just feels a little redundant (sorta like Blazefire and Smokehaze).
Though I really would have preferred Twigshade. It would have been a nice contrast with Violetshine.

I like it because Bramblestar referred it to "as how a twig grows into a branch", and I kinda like that symbolism. I do think Twigshade would've been cool in contrast to Violetshine (who was undoubtedly named after Pebbleshine) but I do understand the meaning of Twigbranch.

I love and understand the symbolism, but I just don't like how it sounds when I think or say it.

Hollyfall and Fernshiine That's why people wanted Twigshade! I never understood it, because Twigshade sounds weird to me, much weirder than Twigbranch, but contrasting with Violetshine makes a lot of sense lol. Neekwanakwaki (Cloud) That's how I feel about the name Bristlefrost lol

I think maybe if Twigbranch had stayed in SkyClan Leafstar would've named her Twigshade. Maybe not. I do know that I appreciate how Bramblestar decided to use her name as symbolism. It sounds weird to say but, hey, I'm not complaining. Some cats just seem to have random names and a lot of the time leaders don't explain why they chose their name. Twigbranch was a rare instant of her name being explained for why it was chosen.

I wonder if she would have named her Twigwing after Hawkwing, since Violetshine was named after Pebbleshine? I think a scene of Cedarstar explaining why he named Foxpaw Foxheart, would have been hilarious

Foxheart's name is a swear in warriors pretty much...so I always found her name quite hilarious. Also I would like to know why Firestar chose Brambleclaw. I mean, yikes. Brambleclaw was already struggling to forget his father, Tigerstar, and his leader and mentor wasn't making it easier by using the suffix "claw" which is the same his father once had.

I like the symbolism behind the name Twigbranch and I like that her name was actually reasoned and thought out, and this reasoning explicitly stated in the books.
However, the redundancy is slightly annoying and I simply don’t really like the suffix -branch, but there are definitely worse names and it doesn’t bother me that much.

IvyfalconI really like the word branch lol, I wish it'd be used as a prefix too FernshiineHaha maybe XD I think if he wanted to give him a fierce warrior name, Bramblefang would have been cool, he could have been named after Yellowfang.

I think "shade" would've been a good suffix.
And yeah, Branch is a cool prefix idea. Branchwhisker, Branchclaw, Branchtail, Branchheart, Branchleaf, Branchstripe, etc.

There are a lot of names that I'm shocked they didn't use more...
Lion is a good prefix and they've used it appropriately. Squirrel was only used twice but it has good potential. And Badger was only used once.
Prefixes I think should be used more:
-Squirrel -Vole -Shrew -Silver -Golden -Otter -Blue -Yellow -Bramble -Thorn -Thistle
Suffixes I think should be used more
-Flower (use flower like it used to be, remember the first series?) -Shade -Cloud -Eye -Whisker -Leg -Flight -Leap -Blaze
I have more. Just too lazy to think lol

FernshiineI'm really shocked that Badger was used just once. Also, that Thorn has just been used once. I really use they'd use Hickory more, it's only be used once, and it's really cute sounding, same with Jump, though Jump would be hard to match to anything

The symbolism is fine, but the name is still really dumb, even if it has grown on me. The redundancy of it is just so weird.

I'm thinking it's because of her eye color lol IvyfalconWhich other suffixes do you dislike, and which ones do you like? The only canon suffixes I like are -blaze, -breeze, -cloud, -dapple, -fall, -fang, -feather, -fern, -fire, -flame, -flight, -flower, -frost, -leaf, -moon, -petal, -pool, -shade, -shine, -song, -splash, -spring, -stone, -storm, -stream, -strike, -thorn, and -wing. Also, depending on what they’re paired with, I sometimes like -berry, -dawn, -dusk, -leap, -light, -mist, -sky, and -willow. The “boring” body-part-related ones like -claw, -foot, -fur, -heart, -pelt, -stripe, -tail, and -whisker are alright, but overused. I dislike all others (unless I accidentally forgot one) that I didn’t mention. I do like the vast majority of canon prefixes though.
