What the title says. Do you think there should've been another FireSand litter? Tbh I just wanted a son who looked like Sandstorm, with the Sun- or Sunny- prefix.

I wished Sandstorm had discussed it with Firestar. A relationship is meant to have communication and Firestar could have wanted another litter as well.

Another duo named Sunnykit and Blazekit would have been nice.

Not really, I was fine with Squirrel and Leaf.

Yeah because Sandstorm always wanted more kits, only deciding not to bother Firestar with them because he was "too busy". Bramblestar had a litter with Squirrelflight after he was made leader. Sandstorm wasn't even deputy so if she wanted to have kits it wouldn't bother the Clan dynamic. Firestar would've still had some time for kits and there were enough Clanmates to take care of them if he was busy or if Sandstorm wanted to go do something for a bit.

I would've loved for them to have a son tbh. ;o; Sunkit or Sunnykit would've been cute, maybe Emberkit.

TBH even then I don't think that would count as any indicator on their communication whether they wanted them or not. That can exist on good standing without talk of more kits.

Those are both valid points.
But if it bothered Sandstorm she should've brought it up with Firestar
like how Squirrelflight did with Bramblestar rather than keep it to herself it she wanted kits very badly. It would be unfair to herself to keep that from him.

She brought it up in TLH as a wistful note and the only reason Firestar didn't say yes there was because it wasn't a good time to, given Brightheart was having her kits at a time nearing a literal war of the living and dead. He didn't even exactly say no, just that it was a bad timing to be born. That fact that they could've had more kits was there as is, so it was never something secret. While I do believe a timeframe like say, between TNP and TPoT where there was a proper peace period would've been a good time for a second litter, I think it's fine that they didn't have another.

This was a time after they promised to not keep secrets from each other (Late FQ), which was something that bothered Sandstorm regarding Firestar in the past, so it'd be hypocritical kinda for her to go back on that thing that she herself proposed they agree to right after. If the fact she wanted more kits bothered her, she would've brought it up beforehand even if in the BG or something. Just because she was wistful about having another litter doesn't mean she can't just still be fine and satisfied with the daughters they did have.

It seems to be a phase most she-cats have later in life. Where they're wistful about having more kits. I think it's just a natural thing in the Clans. She got grandchildren, who she was very happy with, and other kits in the Clan to talk to and play with if the feeling of nurture arose.

I'm honestly glad they didn't? I felt it allowed the authors to focus more on their two kits because too many and some of them would have been forgotten about
