1. What if, when a leader loses a life, with each time they're revived, they become slightly more bad..like, remember on Pet Sematary, when they brought the animals back to life, and they were evil? Maybe that's why Onestar just kept getting worse and worse.
2. Or...you know how cats get nine lives for certain things, like a mother's love, bravery, etc? What if, a leader went against one of the lives given to them, like...a leader was given the life of compassion, but was downright cruel..what if the cat who gave them that life, could take that life away?
3. What if a leader could transfer one of their lives into another cat to bring them back to life?

The first one is interesting, although that would make for a terrible life in the Clans should the cat get evil enough. Also yeah, that would explain why Onestar kept spiralling down into awfulness.

No one would want to be deputy or leader, lest they end up like the previous cat.

What if a leader could transfer one of their lives into another cat to bring them back to life? This is an interesting concept. Perhaps that's what RiverClan did for Heavystep, Beetlewhisker, and Petalfur since they've all appeared after their supposed deaths.

She and Beetlewhisker were littermates, maybe it has something to do with their family line..maybe someone cursed them to live forever XD I think the missing kits thing, which I know isn't canon, but I still find it interesting, said that Reedwhisker is the father of Mintfur, which would make him Beetlewhisker's grandfather...which would make Beetlewhisker Mistystar's great grandson lol

1. Yikes, that would be insane. How bad would cats like Brokenstar have gotten? I think the reason leaders get worse over time is because they are presented with more challenges and hardships as their leadership goes on so they become more jaded/unstable/upset (see Bluestar).
2. Tigerstar would have lost most of (if not all) his nine lives as soon as he got them, then. Maybe that's how Scourge one-shot him lol.
3. Clan leaders wouldn't live very long as the clan would expect them to give up a life to save a clan mate's.

It all makes sense now That's also true, leaders would go through lives like they were tic-tacs.

Also, heh. If that's the case in current canon then perhaps Mistystar's immortality passed on through her descendants.

It all makes sense now That's also true, leaders would go through lives like they were tic-tacs. Also, they just get very old and that eventually can impair them mentally. In the real modern world, with people consistently living longer lives, there are a lot of cases where leaders (often with dictators who are serving for life) just become senile and they steadily become worse. While most feral cats wouldn't live long enough for that to become an issue, the nine lives makes that very likely to happen.
