Oakfur ~ Camp ~ Open
The clan seemed to have settled a bit after the announcement of the plan to save their fellow apprentices. Oakfur wondered what they'll find out on their little adventure into the unknown and the information they gather from it. He sat down beside the warriors' den to watch the camp full of life as many of them get ready to leave and say their farewells in advance in case no one was awake early in the morning.

Badgerheart / Snowdapple cowbird : Camp Badgerheart's orderly planning mentality melted as he felt Snowdapple next to him. "I'd love to," he answered, as if he needed to at all. He made his way just a foxlength through the entrance of camp, so they could be away from the eyes of others, something Badgerheart was highly aware of. "What's on your mind?" he asked curiously, anticipating it to be a warning to keep himself safe or something else of the sort.

Ravensong saw the red tom sitting alone in the camp. “maybe i should try to talk to My clanmates” she thought. The young warrior aproached the tom “Hello Oakfur, mind if i join you?.”

Oakfur turned his attention to the voice and dipped his head when he saw Ravensong. "If you would like to sit and do nothing then sure." He shrugged at the question. "I'm just waiting to see if anyone needs me to help, but it looks as though everything is under control." He waved his tail towards the deputy seeing the medicine cat apprentice and Nightwing's apprentice even helping out.

The she-cat sat beside the red tom. “I get where you're going.” Ravensong sighed. “I wish i could help too.” She glanced at Oakfur. “I don't know if it's a good idea to sent apprentices.”

"I would have to disagree with you there." Oakfur knew they couldn't send all the warriors out there and the apprentices could probably pick up their scents easier. "It's good for them to be out there in case later in the future they face the same situation. I would rather have them go out now and learn from this than being unsure what to do later in life."

“Maybe you're right” said Ravensong. She just hoped the tom didn't hate her now. She was quite good at making cats uncomfortable. “i shouldn't be gossiping about the situation, after all, i've only been a warrior for one moon.”

"You're fine. These kind of scenarios aren't something to be taken lightly and it will make others uncomfortably talking about." Oakfur offered a smile to reassure her. He didn't want to be rude since everyone seemed to be wanting to speak about the current plan Sparrowstar announced.

The tom was pleased with his grandfather's response. He was certain he was right, very seldom was he wrong, and he was glad to be recognised for it. "I plan on it. Whenever that day comes, of course. I'm more than ready." Sleekpaw was convinced of his ability to succeed, if only he could be named a warrior already. "What do you think Badgerheart will find?" he asked Snowdapple, with genuine curiosity for perhaps the first time since he was a kit.
Patchpaw / Darkpaw MadFaith : Camp
"I agree completely," Patchpaw purred. She was worried that she'd disturbed Darkpaw in a time when the apprentice was needing to prepare for a colossal journey, and the last thing Patchpaw wanted was to be annoying, something she was always hyper aware of. "I wish I'd reached out to them more...I've known them ever since they joined our den, but I just worry they'll think no one's coming to help them." Patchpaw wasn't sure if Darkpaw understood her fears, but the worrisome she-cat voiced them anyways. |

Patchpaw was glad to hear Darkpaw's own thoughts reinforcing her own worries, what the younger tom said made sense, the she-cats should know they're apart of the clan and they'd never be left alone. Patchpaw's round eyes searched Darkpaw's as he met her glance, noticing the trepidation in his stare. After he finished voicing his concerns, she stepped beside him and pressed her pelt comfortingly to his own. "It's okay to be afraid. You can trust your mentor to keep you safe, that's why he was sent with you after all." She thought about his question further. "I think you see a lot more than the others. Even if they talk more, maybe you'll notice what they don't." The sociable apprentice felt a great amount of empathy toward her clanmate, and admitted, "I'd be scared as well. But think of how lovely it will be for Icepaw, Shallowpaw, and Honeypaw to see their denmates again. You'll bring them so much comfort."

Front page plots are updated! If anyone wants to claim the second rogue they're welcome to, just keep in mind they'll be ill (but don't need to die). I'll let everyone catch up on replies a bit then we'll timeskip to dawn for the patrol to start:) unless your characters are not on the patrol and out and about (like Robinfeather and Softstep!), then they're exempt from the jump so they can keep the same rp going:)

Ravensong touched the tom shoulder with her tail. “I just hope she's okay, i hope all of them are” she didn't share with the tom the nightmares she was having about the apprentices, or the thought of what would happen if she were still an apprentice, would she go missing too?

StealthfireSnowdapple knew the tom she mated with well enough to know deep down his heart was close to her and when he turned to her warmly she was reminded of why they chose each other in the first place. She followed him to a more secluded spot in camp and faced her back to any prying eyes among the Clan. “Well first I want you to be careful. The Clan needs you, remember.” I need you too, she thought as she felt her face grow warm. “I just wants you to know... before you left... I’m expecting kits again.”

FalconwingHootshade hunched as the warrior asked him the serious question and curled his tail over his graying paws. “ Many moons ago- when Gorsestar first became our leader, may he rest in StarClan, a few of us were told to explore the land beyond the thunderpath. I was a young tom then, eager to impress my mentor Fernclaw. We spent almost a moon wandering and... we saw many horrors. Animals with dog snouts but massive claws and furry bodies, skinny slim ones- stoats they were called- who were vicious and killed one in the group... we returned before we could reach the other side and Gorsestar re-enforced the ancient rule to never go there again.”

Eaglefrost cowbird brambleflight "Stoats?!" The word felt unfamiliar upon his tongue and his head cocked sideways. He cast an unsure look to Dandelionfur before looking back to Hootshade. "Are they much bigger than us?" Eaglefrost had yet to encounter such a creature in all his moons and his mind whirled with questions a curiosities. His yellow gaze stared intently at the seasoned elder, if they were about to explore such dangerous country then Eaglefrost wanted to gather as much information as possible. Better to be knowledgeable about some things than none at all. The warrior hated having no knowledge of the things they would face in the days to come, and it wasn't past him to question an elder to death to gain that knowledge. |
