❝ Nothing important should be taken seriously. ❞ — ❦ ❦ ❦ — [ Fey Feathers - Class 4-A ]
... this is just a border between places ... It wasn't like he lived here every month of the year.
Ezreal often went back home to visit his family, and someone special, after training every summer. It was a place he loved to be, a place where he could relax, laugh, have fun and not just dedicate himself to one thing, over and over and over. While he had bonded with his class-mates, and trained with them side-by-side for three years now, their fourth and final one approaching them, the bird-man enjoyed his private life with his family. But, here he was, back again at this school. One last time, for one last year. These dorms would hold him for one more year, before he was out into the world on his own, ready to prove his worth here, ready to show off and let them all know his name, know the name of Positive Chaos. Of course, sure, he was a little nervous, but not too much.
Breathing in the air, he walked outside of the dorms, the busy life of students before the first day of the school year bringing life around the usually quiet area. Most classes were busy training during this time of day, often in classes or on a field trip. Ezreal ducked under the porch ceiling, careful not to hit his head like he had many times his first years here. Speaking of which...
He was curious to see this year's freshman. To see who got into this prestigious academy. The seven foot, eight inch tall young avian decided to go down the street, his arms behind his head as he strolled down over to the where the previous year's seniors had been homed. Last year, there was a student whom he had always loved to be around, a sweet, curious girl who was a lizard mutant, someone who could light up the world. He missed her a bit, but he still had her number.
Room 1-11, in Class A's dormitory. Ezreal knocked on the door, curious to see who would be the one to be in Senna's room this year, and for three years after, should she be able to handle the courses. "Mind if I introduce myself, freshman?"

Lydia was currently doing some last minute unpacking due to her having spent too much time exploring the campus and its many facilities. Ever since she had gotten accepted into U.A. she couldn't contain her joy which really surprised her parents. For them, it was like seeing the side of her that went missing when she started middle school. Lydia looked around her room, though it seemed fairly plain right now since she was still unpacking, there were still various hero posters hung up on the walls depicting various heroes she admired. There were a few basic pieces of furniture like a bed, a dresser, and a desk though it wasn't anything that fancy obviously. So this is home for the year. It's not that bad to be honest though I should expect that from U.A. she thought to herself. Lydia went over to the door and picked up one of the boxes before she started to bring it towards the desk when she heard the knock on the door. She jumped due to being caught by surprised causing her to drop the box in her hand as it fell on her foot. The young amazonian let out a slew of curse words, all in Greek, as she moved the box away from her foot before heading to the door and opening it. She was immediately caught off guard by the person in front of her. The first thing she noticed was his handsome face which caused her face to turn slightly red from embarrassment "Um, H-hi" was all she could say as she felt her brain practically turn to mush

... this is just a border between places ... When the door opened up, he wasn't sure what he had been expecting. He had heard a few curse words after it sounded like something had been dropped. Had he distracted her? His ears perked forward a bit and a bit of a cocky smile went to his lips when she finally showed herself. A part of him had wished it had been Senna to open the door, but it was someone who kind of surprised him. Most people definitely didn't reach up to his shoulders, but she sure as hell was tall enough to impress him.
Extending a warm hand out, leaning downwards to make sure he didn't bump the door-frame as he looked around the room, it seemed... rather plain. "Name's Ezreal," the bird-man introduced, those teal eyes of his glancing at her room. They sure did reset the room after the previous seniors left, huh? "Sorry for the staring, I'm just used to this place looking like a rain forest lizard habitat. Kinda weird to see it back to normal."

Lydia was clearly surprised at the sudden intrusion of the avian as she stared blankly at the hand Ezreal had extended. She shook her head and slapped her cheeks before reaching out her hand to shake Ezreal's "I'm L-Lydia. It's a pleasure to meet you," she said as she looked around her room again. This time, however, she was trying to imagine it as the way the avian had described it but it was pretty much impossible for her. "I'm still unpacking so I haven't completely finished decorating my room yet," she said as her violet gaze turned back towards Ezreal. "I think I've seen you in the Sports Festival before. You made it to the tournament before, right?"

... this is just a border between places ... Ah, so she knew of him! That would be likely, he was a pretty arrogant person, a bird through and through. He puffed out his wing feathers a little bit, a tad full of himself with pride when hearing that she's seen him before. A wink was thrown at her and he gave a large grin. "Yep! That was me. Won first place, every year. Number one student of the school, at your door." The tall avian gave a dramatic bow, stooping down low and fanning out his feathers as he did so. Once he stood up once more, he gazed at the boxes in her room. "You need any help unpacking?"

Lydia's face turned a little red when Ezreal winked at her "Your quirk is really strong so it's no wonder you won all those times with it. I hope I can make it to at least the tournament" she said with a small twinkle in her eye. Lydia looked down at the boxes before looking back up at Ezreal "I don't know if I should be having an upperclassman helping me. But as long as you don't touch the box marked clothes then I would greatly appreciate it," she said giving Ezreal a small smile.

... this is just a border between places ... "The quirk isn't what makes me strong," the young man hummed as he walked inside the room, greatly having to duck under the doorway, pulling in his wings. "It's how I use it." As if to prove his point, he grimaced as he plucked a smaller feather from the base of his right wing, holding out the teal, black spotted feather. Giving off a soft white and teal glow, he gently tapped it on her head, a little bit of his energy disappearing as he did so, transferring some of his own to her. "I can take energy, or use my own to have it. Just because I have a quirk like this, it doesn't mean that it's powerful. It started off with me just being able to help kids heal or stop someone from slapping me. Being here helped me develop my quirk." Looking over the room, he gave a small sigh and took one of the black bands around his wrist to pull back his hair into a messy bun and then turned to look at her. "It was Lydia, right? Nice to meet you. Now, let's get this room straightened up."
He was quick to start from box to box, making sure to check for any box that wasn't labeled as clothing, though his curiosity grew. Ezreal was more then knowing why a girl wouldn't want him to look at her clothes, it would probably be pretty embarrassing for her. But, then again, with how feminine he acted half the time, he never saw an issue with it. Probably due to his superiority complex.
"What's your quirk?" he asked whilst unpacking a box, careful not to break anything. "I'm sure, since you're in the A Class, you're pretty up there with your quirk. They rank pretty weird here, usually by personality. Making sure that everyone gets along, or if you had a childhood friend, they'll probably be in the same class as you. They do quite a bit of research here."

Lydia felt the energy enter her which caused a shiver to run up her spine due to the unfamiliarity of it "It's still an amazing quirk since you found so many ways to utilize it. The way you fought in the tournament was breathtaking. Even my parents were awestruck by how easily you took out some of your opponents" she said.
As they unpacked the boxes, Lydia gave instructions to Ezreal on where she wanted various decorations with a lot of them being light-based if that gave any hint to her quirk. There were a few paintings that looked like they were of a city in Greece. There was also a painting of the goddess Athena and a small replica of the shield she used, also named Aegis. She looked over at Ezreal when he asked about her quirk and gave him a small smile "I don't know if it's that special though it would probably be better to just show you" she said as she got up from where she was and walked over to the window. Violet light started to coalesce around her hand as it started to form itself into a shape. At first it just looked like a staff but multiple points started to form at the top of it until it hardened into the form of a trident. She looked at Ezreal when it was finished and held it out for him to hold, "Don't worry it's not heavy at all" she said

❝ Nothing important should be taken seriously. ❞ — ❦ ❦ ❦ — [ Fey Feathers - Class 4-A ]
... this is just a border between places ... His highly maintained eyebrows raised up as he watched the violet light from her hands. Ezreal had been getting the hint that her quirk might've had something to do with light when he was helping her unpack and set some things up, but he wasn't entirely sure what it was. Now, seeing the trident form in her hands, he was curious about it and took it, standing back to give himself enough room to twirl it around, giving a small hum as those eyes of his trained to focus, going from light-hearted to serious in the span of less than a second, testing it out.
"Not bad kiddo," he hummed, the playful light coming back to him as he looked away from the weapon and handed it back to her. "It's light-weight, for sure, but seeing as I can't test the durability, I would guess that it would shatter against too hard of a surface." He turned his attention to the very slightly ruffled feathers from over his wings, taking his time to carefully smooth them over, each feather needing to be cleaned and in order.
There was an idea in mind for how he could test her quirk, and considering she was a freshman, she probably hadn't gotten even close to her potential with her quirk, nor had she probably had to use it in a high intensity setting. It was unlikely that Ezreal would have to be fighting her class anytime soon, it would be about mid-terms when he would have to train with them, give or take. He was ranked first in the school, after all, and for quite a reason.
"If you want to head to the first training field after this, I can see how your quirk is used and give you tips for the school year." A small chuckle escaped Ezreal's lips as he looked outside the window, a fond look coming over him. "You're going to have a tough time this year, it always is for freshman classes." His gaze switched back to her. "And, you're in Class A, which isn't exactly the easiest class either. So a few tips won't do much, but it should help the first bit of the year."

Lydia watched Ezreal with excitement gleaming in her eyes. She was impressed at how well he handled the trident since she assumed he didn't really know how to handle one. She had had her parents sign her up in tons of martial art schools and find various teachers that could train her on using various close combat weapons. The trident was actually one of her favorite weapons since it had more than one use even if it was one of the more difficult weapons she had learned. It was the perfect weapon in her eyes though since it was mainly used to snare and debilitate a foe. Watching him made her wonder if he had actually been trained as well. When he gave her a compliment, a wide smile couldn't help but form on her face "Thank you" she said as she stifled a giggle. The smile disappeared when he guessed on it's durability "You'd be surprised how durable that trident is. In certain conditions, I'm not even sure someone with super strength could snap that in half." As soon as Ezreal uttered the word training, Lydia's eyes gleamed once more in excitement "Yes, I'd really appreciate it and then you'd get the chance to test out how durable my quirk can be" she said before giving him a bow "I'd also appreciate any and all pointers you'd be willing to give. Don't hold back"

... this is just a border between places ... Her excitement reminded him of his first days, and a little smirk came to his lips as he glanced at her and then around the room before giving a soft sigh. "There's going to be a little bit of holding back. I could probably get you down within 30 seconds. So you're going to have to try a bit." His ears perked a bit, glancing at the door and then looked back. "I'll meet you in the Quirk Training Facility 2, when you're ready there." A sly grin came onto his face as he started walking backwards towards the door, hands in his pockets. "Technically, I'm not even supposed to be here. Guys aren't allowed on the girls' floor, and I'm a senior this year, after all." A small wink was aimed at her as he effortlessly turned around and slid out the door, not even a feather hitting the door frame, years of practice coming in hand. His first attempt ever doing that got him a bloody nose and a lizard-hybrid that never let him live it down from then on.
The very tall, and large student walked down the road, going at a brisk pace, and then going up to a jog, before full on sprinting down and jumping up in the air, allowing his wings to spread a bit and allow him to fly. Even with the remarkable shape he was in, his wings were a bit too heavy for keep him in the air for long periods of time and he was sweating by the time he arrived at his own dorms, heading inside and quickly grabbing an energy drink and then jogging back over towards the training facility that they were allowed to use. The second one was more for the upperclassmen, having a lot more complex areas and ways to test their quirks.
And now, Ezreal waited, energy drink quickly gone and his eyes bright and ready.

god damn it I thought I replied but it looks like there ended up being an error instead sorry about that)
Lydia nodded "Of course, I'm positively certain that if you were to go all out that I wouldn't be able to even put a scratch on you" she said. When he mentioned where they would meet up, Lydia gave another nod letting Ezreal know that she would be there. At his final comment, Lydia felt her cheeks heat up now realizing that she had technically just broken a rule. That blush only intensified at the wink Ezreal had thrown her way. She let out a sigh before slapping her cheeks to reorganize her thoughts. She quickly put up the majority of her clothes before she left her dorm, heading to the training facility. She wished she could use her quirk because she really wanted to test out the grappling hook idea she had had lingering in her head for the past few days. It would surely make traversing the campus a lot easier for her.
Lydia finally arrived at the facility and looked up with awe. She walked through the entrance, looking around trying to see if she could spot Ezreal. He was obviously easy to spot seeing as he was extremely tall and had giant wings. She jogged over to him with a wide smile on her face, the excitement clearly visible to anyone that could see her.

... this is just a border between places ... A smirk appeared on his lips as he heard the doors open, his feathery ears perking up a bit, his eyes immediately finding her as he stood there, waiting. "I see that you're serious, then." He gave a small laugh and let his wings stretch out before jumping backwards, stirring the still air around him and hovering about six feet off of the ground. "Alright, I won't act offensively. All I want you to do is to try and hit me." Ezreal had a mind to even be kind enough as to try and stay in the air for most of it, knowing full well that it would be a bit more difficult for him than anything.
He wanted to see how she was on the offense, and on the defense, and he was going to go as light as he could let himself go. The bird-man was quite competitive and, as such, he wasn't going to just easily give up just for a freshman. But, showing off was his thing, and confidence was something he had plenty to spare with. "One hit, with a weapon or not, is all you need to do for me to give up." With his massive size, that would seem easy... right?

Lydia gave a few excited nods "Of course I am. I'm being trained by one of the strongest students at this school so who wouldn't be serious?" She asked. When he mentioned he would only be on the defensive, Lydia gave another nod, most people would probably get mad at being underestimated like that but Lydia knew that he wasn't. She knew how strong he was but she was still determined to get a hit on him. She held out both her arms as violet light started to coalesce around them until a trident was in one hand and a round shield in the other. She gave the trident a few experimental whirls before she looked back at Ezreal. She rushed in as she went on the offensive, her shield up in front of her face just in case Ezreal had done anything. Luckily, she could still see through the hardlight even with it in front of her face though her vision was slightly distorted. When she got close enough, she swung her trident at Ezreal's side before using her momentum from the swing to go with a leg sweep

... this is just a border between places ... The avian young adult was quick to respond with only pushing the air with his wings, propelling himself backwards as she approached, his eyes focusing on her and noticing her every movement. Perhaps Ezreal was going a little too hard on a first year? After all, his winning style was defensive, his ability to dodge and weave, the mobility of his bird-like grace making him a bit hard to hit. "Perhaps don't try to leg sweep someone with a flying ability, eh?" Even just doing this simple thing was having him a bit winded, his breathing having to pick up. Flying was something he could do, and was currently doing, but to keep up with it wasn't exactly an easy feat, with how massive his wings were and how heavy those feathers of his were. "Don't go for something that's going to be an obvious move, work against your opponent's quirk." His hand were outwards a little as if to balance himself, but it was mostly a feel for the air, his reaction time going based off of the pressure of air around him and the movements she was making. He could feel the still air stir whenever she moved, something he practiced hard to study for the unfortunate times he would be having to fight whilst in flight.

Lydia's face turned red from embarrassment. She had just made a stupid mistake right in front of one of the top students at the school. Granted, it was her first opponent that could fly, but if she had thought about her attack beforehand then she could have saved herself from this embarrassment. "I-I was testing you to see if you were actually prepared" she lied though it was mostly to psych herself back up. The trident disappeared as she threw the shield in Ezreal's direction before she materialized what looked like chains with a round ball on each of end to appear in her hands. If Ezreal looked at those spherical structures, he would notice that they appeared a lot brighter than the chains themselves. Lydia was planning on catching him using the chains after he dodged. These chains were a lot heavier than the trident that she had let Ezreal hold earlier but that was only because she had made it as light as a feather. She readied herself to toss the chains at Ezreal the moment she saw which direction he evaded
