2025 The end came unexpectedly. Not many people had seen the tensions rising, and before they knew it, everything they knew was gone. It seemed as if a country had nuclear missiles, they were launched. America, the Middle East, Russia, China and a large swathe of Europe went up in flames, but it didn't stop there. Civil unrest occurred all around the world, reducing almost all of the major population centres to rubble. Nuclear war was just the beginning. The Russians launched Project Hammerstrike, launching large blocks of tungsten steel from orbit, accelerated to hypersonic speeds. Several landed on weak spots in the San Andreas Fault Line, which ended up rupturing. California was reduced to rubble, and several cities spared the nuclear blasts were destroyed. However, things are still not good. Boston Dynamics still exists, with scavengers taking control and creating war-bots in order to fight other groups. Other scavengers roam the devastated continents, building armoured vehicles and cobbling together weapons, Military groups control much of Texas, northern Mexico, and Arizona in America, and the civil wars in the Middle East are still ongoing, and in the Syrian desert, the few remaining ISIS soldiers are working on biological weapons, preparing for a worldwide plague in order to wipe out humanity. Mutations are spreading due to the radiation, and as a result some people are killing those with the mutations. If you want to be part of this roleplay, fill out a little form. Eg; Roleplayer name, current location in the ruined world, age, and companions (or not).

Walter Noro checked his HAZMAT suit once again as he walked through the irradiated wasteland that stretched across much of the United States. He was lucky to be wearing one, although he wondered if it was already too late. It was said by some that fallout had covered the entire world just a few hours after the dropping of the bombs, and Walter had found the HAZMAT suit a week after. Not only that, he also had to eat, and that involved taking off the helmet.

Kindle and her brother were walking about 10 feet apart from each other. Kindle huffed in the hazmat suite and complained loudly to her brother. "This is stupid Nathan, Why do we have to move from here?" Her voice carried over the heavy winds easily. Her face was partialy covered by her red hair in the helmet. Nathan shook his head. "Because the home we were at was no longer habitable. We need to find somewhere were we can live without the suite on all the time. We can not live like this forever." He told his complaining sister.
They continued walking, every so often checking a house to see what they could find. The bag Kindle was carrying slowly getting full of clothes and little things that they were able to find, deck of cards, lotion, and other knick knacks.

The radioactive haze momentarily lifted, and Walter saw, spread out in front of him, the black, oily water of Lake Michigan. He was near Chicago, which should hopefully have some radiation shelters. However, Walter wasn't sure if Chicago had been nuked or not, or maybe even Hammerstruck by the Russians. "Might as well check," he muttered, then set off in the direction of the city.

Kindle groaned when She realised that they will have to go to the US to see if there is anyone left that wont try to kill them. "I hate this Nathan..." She mumbled. "You know i hate to go into deep water..." She glanced at the vast ocean before looking towards her brother with pitiful eyes.
Nathn sighed and wished he could run a hand down his face in exasperation. "Yes Kindle. Now be quiet so i can figure out how we will do this." He told his sister. He glanced around wher ethey were at before seeing a jet. "I see a way we can get there quickly." HE told her wiht a grin before walking towards the jet. "Lets just hope there is some gas in it or that it has not been taken apart by other people here." He mumbled.
As they walked towards the jet Nathan realised so far it looked intact. He walked to the front to check the engine and it wasn't touched, then to the other side of the plane, and reaslised the gas cap was missing. He winced when he saw it before asking, "Kindle, go check to see if there is a key somewhere in the cockpit or in the back of th eplane somewhere so i can find something to use as a gas cap for right now." He called.
Kindle growled under her breath in anger but went to do as her brother said, and started seaarching for a key. She looked in the cockpit, under the seats and in little holes, before moving towards the back, checking the seats before looking above the door frame and finding a key. "I think i found it." She told her brother. She walked back to the front of the plane and asked, "Ready?"
Nathan backed away before calling back, "YEs." Kindle took in a deep breath and cranked the plane up with a wince. Waiting for it to either explode or for it to not start up. When it started and stayed running she grinned and checked all the vitals of the plane, "So far so good Nate." She exclaimed happily.

Horace Williams studied his hands as he sat watching the red, sickly sun disappear below the horizon. The weird bulges on his knuckles hadn't changed or gone away. He knew what was happening; he was mutating. He'd seen someone else with bulges like that, but they'd been dead. No, not dead, murdered. Crucified, in fact. Extremists were out there, and now Horace had to be extremely careful. There was no use trying to find a HAZMAT suit; he'd just have to wait and see if the radiation killed him.

Juniper walked away from yellowstone park tiwards the mountains. She sighed and shook her head when she did. "Stupid radiation... stupid bombs.... stupid war." She muttered to herself. She had a backpack full of supplies for her long trip through the mountains. She winced at the soreness that is a ghost of pain.

Chicago was gone. Walter stood by the tangled remains of a highway overpass and looked at the city's remains. Nothing remained except the wreckage of a nuclear explosion. Skyscrapers were nothing more than shattered stumps. Walter sighed, then continued on into the city. He had nothing else to do, anyway.

Walter crawled into the buckled remains of a reinforced nuclear bunker as the sun sank below the horizon. The night wasn't safe, since anything could be out there. He'd just have to wait for morning.
