Both were ShadowClan leaders who had the potential to make ShadowClan a much better plus, but they never really got a fair shot, who do you like better?

Rowanstar, personally. He had alot of moments that would have been deemed well-meaning and fit for a leader had be been leader of any other clan, and he had more time to develop than Nightstar did. Though, I enjoy both toms and it sucks that their potentials were wasted all to bring in Tigerstars that I sure as heck didn’t ask for.
If anyone understands Rowanstar’s plight, it’s Nightstar, and I kind of hope those two talk together in Starclan.

Yeah, I agree I voted for Nightstar, because he was soo sweet in Yellowfang's Secret, and I just adored him. When stupid ugly Brokenstar kicked out all the elders, Nightstar hunted for them, which I thought was really sweet. Rowanstar's a good guy too, I love how dedicated and caring he was towards his family. The Rowanclaw/Tawnypelt family was one of the cutest families in the series. Is he Rowanstar? Or Rowanclaw now? I remember one time I asked, and I think someone got irritated that I didn't know that he was called Rowanclaw now, I don't remember. That would be awesome if they're like best friends in StarClan

I’m always going to call him Rowanstar because he was a genuinely good leader in my eyes and nothing is going to change that. If Nightstar can keep his name without ever getting nine lives, then Rowanstar can keep his name too in my eyes.

That's a really good way to look at it I sometimes (most of the time) call Tigerstar Tigerclaw, even though he's officially Tigerstar, because I feel like he didn't deserve to be leader. He killed and cheated his way to the top.

Rowanstar is the most egregious unfair example. At least with Nightstar it came off like it was one of those moments of universal laws that everyone saw as unjust but had to follow, and so his case was viewed as a tragedy. With Rowanstar, everyone practically spat on him and blamed him entirely for the problems faced. It was cruel how he was driven into the dirt like that, though I love the way he went out(should have been on-screen but whatever).
It comes off as even more egregious when his little brat of a son isn't even half the tom his father was yet the narrative bends over backwards to support him. It occurred to me that there's a scene in TBC where Tigerheart is just sitting around, wringing his paws as Bramblestar is insulting him to his face and offering only the most token of resistances. To make matters worse, while discussing the issue with Rootpaw and Tree, he again just sits around complaining and wringing his paws while Tawnypelt and Dovewing make all the decisions for him. It's far worse than how Rowanstar ever acted, yet nothing happens.
I think that's the crux of why Rowanstar is more tragic to me, because it's all so undeserved and obviously targeted.

I agree, it is unfair what happened to Rowanstar, he literally did nothing wrong, it wasn't his fault he got sick (that seems to be the main starting point to the clan going downhill) I know that there were a few bratty apprentices before, but they really seemed to start turning on Rowanstar after he got sick. Then Darktail coming in didn't make things any easier. As for Tigerheart, I really like Tigerheart, but I don't think he deserves to be leader. Not only did he show poor judgement by training in the Dark Forest, but he also broke the code by taking a mate from another clan. I know you can't help who you fall in love with, but it's still disloyal.

Both are okay, but I like Rowenclaw better. It's horrible that he couldn't lead his clan well. He would have been great if he had more of a chance.

Rowanstar deserved better Clanmates, but then I guess that's just how ShadowClan is.

*Ravenpaw*Agreed, his clanmates were so unfair to him Neekwanakwaki (Cloud)Yes, I wonder how he would have fared if he had the clanmates from Yellowfang's Secret, minus those idiots Brokenstar and Raggedstar...oh, and Lizardstripe and Foxheart...other than those four, those cats were an absolute delight, and I adored them
