ShadowClan should have held Heathertail hostage to get the lungwort. I'm not sure how they'd get her, but ShadowClan are pros at this stuff, so I'm sure they would have figured out a way.
Like...they held Twigpaw hostage, bringing ThunderClan into this, so ThunderClan would get Onestar to give up the lungwort.
I don't know why they expected ThunderClan to be able to do anything, haven't they noticed the tension between WindClan and ThunderClan since Onestar became leader?
I think if they held Heathertail hostage, Onestar would be more likely to give into their demands, since she's a cat he actually cares about.
Speaking of Heathertail... I kind of wish she and Darktail would have had a conversation, since they're half siblings...geez, I can imagine that if he knew about her, he'd be SO jealous. She was like this spoiled pride and joy clan kit of Onestar, and he was the forbidden kit that was thrown aside.
Speaking of holding Twigpaw hostage, I think it's really sad, how Crowfrost refused to hold her hostage anymore, and he died for the reason they were hold her hostage (to get the cure)
I guess no good deed goes unpunished sadly

Yeah, I'm not sure what holding a ThunderClan cat hostage would've done. That's dragging a Clan that has nothing to do with the situation into it, where they don't belong. In fact, I think it just made Onestar even more mad. Though Onestar was probably enough of a jerk on his own. Although I'm not sure if holding Heathertail hostage would've made it better or worse, since Onestar could very well declare war on ShadowClan for that. I'm not sure.
And I completely forgot Darktail was Onestar's kit. The interaction between two of his kits would've been interesting.
Crowfrost dying was sad. He insisted that they let an innocent cat who had nothing to do with the situation go and then he gets knifed by the disease. He was also one of the few rational ShadowClan cats. I liked him.

Honestly, WindClan in general should've just gotten ShadowClan's role in AVoS as as the broken Clan that would be taken over by Darktail.

platinum blond deathThat is true, I didn't think of that I know! I was so sad 𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵That would have made A LOT more sense, since Darktail's main beef was with Onestar, and it would have given ShadowClan a break from being the clan that always goes down the toilet I know that WindClan got chased out, but they were brought back, and were fine in just one book.

Not to mention we've seen a divided WindClan before, so imagine if Mudclaw's attempted rebellion had actual, long-lasting consequences, as well as how willing even cats like Heathertail were willing to listen to Sol. Imagine if this happened again, but on a much larger scale. Cats feeling resentful of Onestar, and maybe even a few still don't trust Breezepelt (and by extension, his family). I liked AVoS, but it really would've been alot better had WindClan been Darktail's target. Maybe there could've even been a moment where Crowfeather would call Onestar out for his hypocrisy, as a sort of reference to their conversations in CT. As for Needletail, she could've easily been replaced by one of Breezepelt's daughters, though I'm thinking specifically Brindlepaw since she looks so much like her mother and grandfather (especially the latter since they're both mottled) and Darktail could've just pieced it together that she was related to Onestar somehow. Or she could've shared the role with Smokepaw, who might've been compared to Breezepelt the same way Bramblestar was to Tigerstar when he was younger. Seriously, alot of wasted potential here.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those things, WindClan seemed to bounce back SUPER fast though You're right, that would have been A LOT more interesting, and it would have been nice of Crowfeather to call Onestar out, and it would have been cool to see a WindClan POV
