Maisie Grace DunBroch Daughter of Merida and Young MacGuffin
Okay, so Maisie was kinda sorta starting to get the feeling that maybe this guy didn't want her around. Yeah, she should've picked up on that earlier, but nobody had ever accused Maisie at being too good about picking up on social signals. She was sweet, but sometimes too sweet. It had certainly gotten her in trouble before. Plus, it was too late to turn back now.
She figured that everyone back home had gotten used to her, but that didn't mean everyone on Auradon was used to the fact that the young girl didn't always back off when expected to. At least, not until she got to know people. Then she tended to be much better at picking up their particular cues and when they needed space. When the boy argued that he did mean that they should not get to know each other, Maisie's disappointment was evident on her face.
When he didn't make a move to take the paper with her number on it, Maisie quickly stuffed it into her pocket. Okay, she could always give it to him later if they decided to hang out, but she didn't want her arm just hanging there out in the air. She would certainly get sore if she did that.
Maisie stepped back slightly at the boy's last words. While she didn't look hurt, she certainly looked disappointed. But if there was one surprising trait about the youngest daughter of Merida, it was that she didn't give up as easily as one would assume from her otherwise sweet and soft demeanor. She also did not want to admit the fact that she hadn't realized he was trying to threaten her.
Oops. Maybe she should at more attention to stuff like that next time.
But this time, she smiled. "Hey, look, I know we don't know each other, but I could've sworn I've seen your face around school once or twice before. I just thought that maybe if we both had this," she paused to gesture at the hospital around them, "it might be nice to kinda have each other as, yknow, work pals. And I'm not saying that we have to go out and find some cool restaurant for lunch, but we could just stop and grab a sandwich or something from the hospital cafeteria?" she asked, a slight bit of hope in her eyes.
To be honest, she was more lonely than she expected with Maggie on the Isle. Her sister was someone that she admired, and now she was alone. Akram was gone too. She didn't want to admit that she was lonely, but she still wanted to hide it by trying to make more friends. "I'm not going to force you, but you sure you don't wanna give it a try? I mean, we'll probably be seeing each other around a decent amount. Never hurts to have someone around that's got your back," she offered with a smaller smile than she had given him before but with more meaning behind it.

Matthias Aksel Alexsen
son of melody and alex "That could work in our favor," Matthias contemplated. And in proper contemplating fashion, his hand was indeed rubbing the bottom of his chin in thought. "If they're in a meeting, they'll be too busy doing their student council things to notice us in the first place."It was actually perfect timing. Since all of them were stuck in a meeting in one room, they'd really just have to avoid the room. Cause it wasn't like any of the student govt. students would be able to wander past the art room and catch them. Matthias once more in excitement. Of course, he was still willing to take the sneakiness seriously. Hence, his serious nod at the silent finger, copying the movement himself to show the solidarity of the matter. Moving to follow Emilia inside, at the pause regarding Iver and how he should wait outside, Matthias attempted to give the reindeer a supportive thumbs up despite that. Unfortunately, Matthias was pretty sure reindeer were not, in fact, built for stealth. And if they were, Matthias would apologize to Iver personally on the matter.

Bellonso Stormwyn Sour-Dough
son of sour bill, wynnchel, and duncan Was it bad that Bellonso would not have been too concerned if it was illegal? Well, no, scratch that, Bellonso would have been concerned if he thought this was going to be illegal and they were going to get caught. He spent enough time with the Hamadas to understand that the illegality of situations was only dependent if you got caught doing the illegal thing. Of course, despite that, Bellonso did still try to lean on the side of less illegal things overall as being caught lead to a slew of issues Bellonso didn't want to deal with. The same reasons in a convoluted way helped direct Bellonso to grinning at man with a confident, "I believe you, figured you wouldn't choose to film yourself doing something illegal anyhow." Or at least, Bellonso would hope there was thought going into what exactly Sang wanted filmed. Continuing to follow Sang, albeit lagging ever slightly when trying to hop the fence- Bellonso never claimed to be particularly athletic after all- he was pretty impressed when they seemed to come to the destination. Somewhat muttering to himself, Bellonso commented, "Huh, didn't know this place existed in the city."Shaking his head at himself, he focused on what Sang was asking him. And then Bellonso grinned a dumb, little grin. "I've had some experience around film equipment before," he responded. And it wasn't inaccurate. Although, he hadn't been the person ever behind the camera before when it came to things, he did know a vague amount of stuff from when he was younger and they were filming some of the cutscenes for Sugar Rush Jr. Bellonso wasn't in nearly as much as Peppy, Tintin, and Shimmers in the game- in the early parts. There was technically a lot that had been filmed at this point, and more to still be filmed as soon as Van reached his release date. Either way, wasn't much of a point as he took in the other information. Bellonso gave a little salute to the man and a short nod, "Will do. That is, will not hit the record-stop button in the middle of a take without express permission and approval from you." It was actually a pretty simple task, to just need to press a button to start and stop the video on Sang's say-so. And not to press the off button for the camera itself. He got this.

Khuno Micchu Roca Son of Kuzco and Malina
Ha. This was not going very well for anyone, was it? Sara and Cocoa working on a project together? Absolutely brilliant, Aisha! Khuno was starting to wonder which of them would even be alive by the time the project came to a close. Sara certainly had the scrappiness of a street dog, but there was a coldness in Cocoa that Khuno didn't think could be overcome. So it would be interesting for sure. He quickly considered asking the others for bets on this, but something told him that Aisha would not be happy with that, and Khuno decided to take it easy on her. After all, the meeting had only just started and there was some drama going on. Plus, he liked to think that the rest of the student government was just as annoyed as he was.
Well, he wasn't annoyed, except for the comment that Cocoa had made about him. He raised an eyebrow at the girl. "What? You think you're better than me just because you were raised alongside royalty? I was the life of Kuzco Academy before I was sent here," he said. Of course, he would much rather attend his father's school. He was lazy, and Kuzco had taught him all of the workarounds to slide by with zero effort... until Mom stepped in and decided Auradon would force Khuno to work for his grades.
Sara, however, had a concrete smile on her face. Exact opposite of Khuno's lazy smirk. This meeting clearly hadn't gone as she planned. "I just think it's important to keep spirits high during a time like this. We've almost all been affected, even in this room. Personally, I know that I worry a lot about Komboa. He's my friend, and my boyfriend's cousin. I'm sure everyone in here has someone that they're worried about. And I think a special event is just what we need." She decided to ignore Cocoa's obvious comments.
Well, Sara made it clear that that was all she had to say for now and Khuno fought the urge to butt in with a sarcastic comment. Did he care about looking like a top student? No. He didn't care how people saw him. But he could determine when was a good time to say something. Instead he folded his hands and smiled at Aisha. "Well, it appears those two are done. And I - being the proper raised heir that I am - will wait to speak," he said with a large smile directed towards Sara and Cocoa. Again, he had no interest in being seen as the 'proper' one in this situation. It was just fun to switch between being a chaotic idiot and a good kid - and his parents had taught him both.

Lucio Aries Noceda Son of Luz and Gus
Lucio still wasn't quite sure about Auradon. Actually, he was pretty clear on the fact that he didn't like it. He was still willing to try his hardest to make the best out of this situation, but he didn't know anyone and Magic wasn't even allowed. He had no idea how his mother had survived for so long with it. But of course, this was Lucio. He may or may not have accidentally put some hexed graffiti on the lockers and then some stuff had led to some other stuff and then it turns out that his magic had joined up with the magic of another boy and now Lucio had been in detention when he was very new to Auradon but it was okay because he made a friend.
In fact, he had just been about to text that friend of his. Saros was the only other one that got Lucio's reliance on magic. So he got out his phone to text the other boy quick. He just sent a simple message telling Saros where he was and asking if he wanted to hang out. They could.. talk about magic or grab something to eat or hide out and use magic.
Lucio had even tossed his Magic Creatures of The Demon Realm and Beyond book in his bag to show off to Saros - and maybe get his input. He'd even added the "and beyond" part when he learned that Saros too came from another dimension. One cooler and more interesting and full of magic than Auradon was. It had once belonged to King, but Luz had passed it onto her son when King was taken away to the Isle. Then it had simply grown from demons to all magic creatures back home to "and beyond".
He just hoped that Saros thought it was as cool as Lucio did.

Avril Bijou Bête Daughter of Beast and Cordelia
Maybe Avril should have learned to be a little more careful with guys after Mac. Maybe. But the Bête couldn't deny that it wasn't hard to gain her love. Especially now with Billy gone. Her "twin" was her best friend, and Avril had tried her hardest to get Beast to let her go on the trip as well. He wouldn't give in, so now she was just trying to fill the time she would normally spend with Billy.
Of course, she couldn't say that Lysander was ever her second choice. In fact, he would have been her first choice if she knew him before she had ended up with Dio and Mac. But they didn't matter. Dio was still a friend, and she just avoided Mac when she could, which would be a lot easier with the Charming boy gone.
Avril found herself seated at a table away from the chaos of campus. Keep your head down, stay out of the spotlight, and avoid your siblings. Those were the guidelines that she had grown up with and it was automatic for her now. She settled into the chair, pulled out the book she had been reading - one that wasn't about magic, and checked the time on her phone.
Hopefully he would be here soon. Despite them being "only friends", Avril couldn't deny that she had feelings for the boy. She had even snuck some cookies from Bre's late night baking spree the night before and sealed them up in a container to share with him. She had to have something to offer, since she was mostly useless besides begging her younger sister for cookies.
And magic. But only Adrian and Billy could know about that, and she hadn't even wanted Adrian to know about her fascination with magic.

Honoka "Hono" Vienna Hamada Daughter of Vanellope and Hiro Hamada
Hono never did get that nap. Oops. Sorry, Adrian.
Shortly after they'd put Maxie away, the loudspeaker had come on, and she'd been summoned to a random classroom. Her first thought was that she'd gotten in trouble for nearly punching Riet -- which, as regrettable as her actions were, she was fine with that -- but then other people came into the classroom and she was just...confused.
Kerry Robinson, Winter Wower, Cannan Cogsworth.
She didn't know a lot about Cannan, apart from vaguely being associated with the Betes, so she couldn't pass judgement on why she was here. But she could definitely judge the other two, and while Kerry could be a little jerk sometimes, Winter was an angel. What could she have done to get in trouble?
"So uh...what all did you guys even do?" Hono broke the awkward silence to speak to the two people she'd known since she was a small child, and the clock girl. She adjusted her glasses up on her nose, confused.
Then the whole world turned upside down.
Well, okay, that was a little melodramatic, she'd admit, but she meant it. A voice answered her before the other three could, and it suddenly made this whole "maybe detention, maybe not" situation a lot better.
"It's not about what you did. It's about what you can do, in the future!" Liv Amara had appeared into the doorway, walking in like she owned the room. Which...honestly...she probably did. She was Liv Freaking Amara, and she more or less owned Auradon. Well, Beast and the various members of royalty -- mostly Beast though -- owned Auradon. But Liv was a force to be reckoned with, and Hono thought she was the coolest and now she was in their school and...
...and maybe she should listen.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why I've called you in here today, and I promise you, it's worth your while. You four have all been selected for a brand new opportunity to further your knowledge and skills, and continually re-engineer proactive collaboration and idea-sharing between you and your peers! The four of you are going to assertively communicate new concepts that have the potential to re-energize our prospects for the future!"
Hono considered herself pretty smart. A lot of people considered Hono pretty smart. But at this moment, she did not feel smart at all, and this was reinforced when the only thing that could come out of her mouth was a quiet, confused...
"Huh?"
The Hamada girl threw a quick look towards her friends and Cannan, to see if they picked up on...any of that. She looked back just in time to see Liv looking at her now, and if she hadn't just made herself look like a fool in front of her idol, she'd pass out from joy.
"Hamada, right?" Hono nodded, speechless now, and Liv smiled. "I thought so. You're just as straight to the point as your dad is." "Straight to the point" had never been a term that Hono used to describe herself, even she wasn't that delusional, but Liv just probably didn't know that yet. "As you all know, Sycorax is invested in the future of our world, and that includes the next generation of sharp minds and forward thinkers! I spoke to the rest of the board, and they agreed that it's high time for a fresh new face in the company!"

Kerson Wade Robinson Son of Wilbur and Karmi
Kerry was, as expected, alone. He didn't realize how alone he would feel with Kassi on the Isle, but the older Robinson just couldn't really connect with others well enough to make friends. Well, Hono was a friend. A friendly rival. The daughter of his mentor. Well, he had a complicated but overall positive relationship with the Hamada girl. However, a lot more people liked Hono, so he rarely actually hung out with her unless they were back in San Fransokyo.
Right now, he was just sitting in the back of the library with an old health textbook open in front of him. He was taking notes, trying to get an early start on his studying for the year. That's why it was a little... irritating for the boy to get called down to a classroom. Rolling his eyes and grumbling under his breath, he put the textbook away and stuffed his notebook back into his backpack and headed into the room. It was an... odd group of kids when everyone was gathered. Hono and Winter. Almost all San Fransokyo kids.
He had been about to respond to what Hono said, but when someone else entered the room, Kerry's usual grumpy expression turned into one of surprise and wonder. Then he gave the most angelic smile he could muster. "Liv! Oh, uh, Mrs. Amara. Big fan. I've heard a lot about you and would be honored to offer Sycorax whatever I can. You know, I've actually been working on-"
He cleared his throat awkwardly, realizing the other three students were still in the room.
"Actually, I'd love to discuss my work in private with you later. I feel I have a lot to offer your company," he said with a smile. Kerry was extremely skilled in turning on the charm when he wanted something.

WINTER TOVA WOWER daughter of wendy wower and trevor trengrove
As she entered the room, Winter's smile grew. Sure, she was a little confused, and she didn't understand why they were all there together, but she was excited. Being surrounded by highly intellectual, similar people to her was always bound to get her going. Especially when around a Hamada. She absolutely adored Hiro and Tadashi's work with Baymax.
Winter shrugged, still smiling, when Hono asked her question, but didn't respond due to the appearance of Liv Amara. Her day was just getting better and better. Sycorax was founded to improve bio-therapeutic medicine. It was exactly the type of place Winter wanted to work when she was out of school.
Working for Mr. Hamada would be just as cool, and she looked up to him just as much as she did Ms. Amara. But general tech wasn't what she wanted. She wanted to work in medicine, and that made Liv Amara the one to work for. Or Mrs. Robinson, but it's not like Kerry's mother was in the room.
The more Ms. Amara spoke, the more excited Winter got. Sure, it was a little confusing, but she was still way too happy to be in the same room as this genius woman. Winter was almost vibrating, shuffling up on one side and the other as her anticipation grew while listening to the woman in front of her speak.
Wait, wait, wait.
Had Liv Amara just offered her a position at Sycorax? She had been absorbed in her thoughts. Had she dreamed Ms. Amara telling her to go with for Syncorax? Or was that real? This is why spacing out was bad! She knew better, oh no. How was she going to figure out if this was just her imagination?
Fortunately, Kerry snapped her out of her panic. She stilled at the way he was acting, though. Her excitement died down and she stopped practically bouncing. He was reluctant to share, and he kind of scared her with how he was acting. Instinctively, Winter moved closer to Hono.
Winter took a calming breath, shaking off how Kerry made her feel and smiled at Ms. Amara. She took another breath and said, "I would love to work for you, especially with the others." She acknowledged Hono, Cannan and Kerry, purposely. She wanted a collective collaboration, not fighting. No matter what the opportunity entailed, she would see it through. Hopefully, everyone would be nice.

SaNG CHI ANDaM son of sun park and councilor andam
Sang thought about Bellonso's comment, weighing the pros and cons of the idea. He wasn't morally against doing anything illegal. This was San Fransokyo, where a lot of criminal activity happens simply because criminals have the freedom to do so. People tried to stop it, but so long as no one was getting hurt, things could fly under the radar. "I wouldn't be so sure about that fact," Sang admitted with a shrug, but quickly added, "Though that is not the case here, I wouldn't put a stranger in the line of fire like that." Also not exactly true, but Bellonso would be fine.
He looked around the skate park, at the moss that grew down the furthest corner and the faded graffiti that masked the grey concrete. There was a railing, but the top of the pole was stripped from years of use and rust. To their left was the tiny, decrepit building that used to house a skate shop from the look of the inside, but Sang had never met anyone who remembered the business. "Not many people know of it."
With the kid's conformation, Sang nodded. He set down everything on his person, but grabbed the skateboard and flipped it around in his hands. "Thanks for doing this. I couldn't get the angles I wanted last time I tried, so I bought this super complicated tripod. Even with it, I'd still have to stop every five runs to move the equipment. This will go a lot faster."

Emilia Arendelle-Bjorgman daughter of anna and kristoff
"Very true!" Emilia grinned, knowing that she adored the way Matthias thought about schemes, and she giggled when she realized his current pose. Very inconspicuous. Still, she wasn't as worried as she had been before. She had thought that, if caught, Aisha would probably call her mom instead of turning her in, because Aisha would instinctively know that it was worse than whatever punishment the school decided on.
But now she didn't have to worry! The Student Government was safely locked away in their little meeting room, so she and Matthias could get into whatever they wanted. Instead of following her own advice of being quiet, Emilia started to skip through the halls. It wasn't an odd sight, to see Emilia so excitable, so it was something few people would actually question.
Not that there was anyone around to question it.
All in all, the halls were pretty much empty. She could see some bodies moving in the classrooms themselves, but those doors were shut, and the people inside seemed very involved with whatever was happening inside. Not that she cared much, as she was on her own mission. She looked behind her, making sure Matthias was still following.

Bastian "Bast" Dorian Charles Bête son of belle and beast
Bast was genuinely concerned about this girl. Not because he was a truly kind person, no, that would never be the case. It was because she was a nice person, who shouldn't be around people like him. He was bad for her, and he knew that, but he wasn't trying to get something out of him. He was a Prince of his own, and he didn't need anything she had. Other people would, though, and other people would take advantage. He just didn't need to, which meant he had to protect her from people like him. Bad people, who would would manipulate her and harm her just for being an actual good person.
Groaning, he held out his hand, finally willing to accept her little offer. "Give me the stupid number." He shook his head, still glaring at her even as he asked for it. Honestly, if she actually did as he said, without any suspicion in his change of behavior, he was going to set her up with a lesson plan on why she shouldn't trust strangers. Or anyone, really, if she was so naive. Bastian had fully threatened her and he was fairly sure that she had no idea what his intent had been. There was no reason for her to actually give him her number when he asked for it.
The young prince would bet money she would give it to him without questioning it.
"You've seen me around school," Bastian admitted, but didn't say how. Or what his real name was. That would stay a secret, for as long as possible. He didn't like being known as Beast's son. There were so many kids at this point, it's not like anyone would even notice the fourth son and sixth child. Blanche was different, as the youngest daughter. Easy to point out, easy to remember. He was the exact opposite. As she continued, he scoffed. He didn't need help with volunteer work. This, what he was doing, wasn't for any reason outside of his own need to have something for himself.
He never needed someone to watch his back, but she needed someone to watch over her. She was going to end up in a ditch one day, if she wasn't careful. He would be there for her, even if it was a nuisance. "But you're not to talk to me anywhere else. Only here." There was no way he was going to be seen talking to the Scottish Princess at school. He had to maintain some level of secrecy. The only way she was going to find out his real name was if she found out herself. As far as he would tell her, his name was Sebastian. End of story.

Maisie Grace DunBroch Daughter of Merida and MacGuffin
Maybe Maisie should have known by now that she can't be so sweet and trusting and outgoing, but she wanted to be that way. Merida and Maggie were both strong and tough and Maisie admired her mother and older sister for that, but that didn't mean she had to be the same way. Plus, she had never been put into a position where she needed to see the darker and harsher side of humanity and she had never personally experienced proof that she shouldn't go around trusting random people.
She was a bit surprised, though, at the quick change of his mind as he asked for her number back. Maybe he was just trying to get her off his back, but she hoped he actually wanted to be friends with her. "Here!" she said, pulling the piece of paper back out of her pocket and handing it over to the boy. She then pulled her phone out and brought up the page to make a new contact. "What's your name and number?" she asked. Her fingers positioned themselves over the keyboard and she raised her eyes to look at him.
"Do we have any classes together?" she asked out of curiosity. Maybe she would keep an eye out for him, to see if she could catch a glimpse of him in the halls or passing by a classroom or anything. They didn't have to talk, but maybe then she could give him a smile or a wave. It was always nice to see someone that appreciated you, wasn't it? Or maybe that was Maisie just being her social, happy self.
When he said this was the only place that Maisie was allowed to talk to him, her smile fell for a moment, but then she nodded. "That's fine. Ive got plenty of other people I can talk to at school. Or back in Scotland! But I don't really have anyone to talk to here. Or even anyone that I really know. So we can just have conversations here," she said. He wasn't as outgoing and social and friendly as she was, and Maisie didn't want to overwhelm him. But part of her hoped that he would be willing to eat lunch with her today and then enjoy himself and keep eating lunch with her. Then maybe he would be willing to eat lunch with her in school or talk to her in the hallways or something.
Part of her wondered why he wanted to keep it restricted to the hospital. Was he embarrassed at the idea of being seen with her? Did he have some cool friends and a reputation that would be ruined by a loud and outgoing Scottish girl hanging out with him? She wasn't sure, but that wasn't her business, was it?

Mix - Student Government
madison, cocoa, hitomi Cocoa flashed the president a smile in response to the request. Perhaps she had been a little too callous in her complaints, but she stood by them. It wasn't up to some town girl to suddenly decide what would be some fun ideas to kick up spirit in this horribly depressing setting. Especially when they were sad excuses of such. Oh well, being pulled after the meeting to get a stern talking to about the way she talked to others and interrupted the schedule was an easy fix with a simple little, Oh, of course Madam President, I will ensure to better myself in the future. Of course, Cocoa was plenty prepared to defend herself given both Sara and Khuno had spoken out of turn as well, and she could make strong arguments that at least one of them was just as disrespectful as she happened to be. And at least Cocoa has a valid reason for being so. So given only she was being targeted? That was just discrimination against a child of two lesser known 'heroes' of the world. Following that was something that Cocoa wouldn't say she dreaded, rather was something she'd soon be very apprehensive about. Apparently complaining about someone trying to steal their properly earned position and the roles that came with meant they had to work together. But as she let her mind think on it, Cocoa supposed this would work to her favour. If Sara wanted to bring some spirit to the school, she'd have to deal with Cocoa along the way. And Cocoa was plenty prepared to interject, agitate, and prolong the process until Sara admitted she just wasn't fit for planning the spirit events herself. Cocoa gave a sweet smile to Aisha in what Cocoa believed was absolutely innocent- and not the kind of innocent that implied trouble. Just a genuine smile that conveyed, "It would be a great solution to my issues with her plan." She spoke the words soon after as well. Of course, she was tempted to continue to bite back words at Khuno and Sara. She had plenty to say anyhow, but it seemed like Aisha was on edge and given it seemed Cocoa was in enough trouble as it is, no matter how unfair that seemed. And it would be so easy to bite a remark that at least she was both more dignified than Khuno despite his oh-so apparent properness. Or a remark regarding the fact his removal from Kuzco Academy was likely an attempt to get him out of there in an attempt to educate him on more cultured people. And don't even get Cocoa started on Sara's comment. Talk about pretentious- oh boo hoo. The kids who volunteered to get sent off to a prison island volunteered, didn't they? It wasn't like Cocoa even cared about any of them in the first place. Obviously she could fake tears over Bellamy and Alicio, but it wasn't like either of them were close friends to her anyhow. Hell, Bellamy hated Cocoa, and Cocoa found it fine to respond in turn. Plus, Cocoa knew there was at least another person in the room that shared her opinions- at least, up until the point of agreeing or disagreeing whether or not the kids should have gone over anyway. But Madison didn't have anyone over there that she was particularly worried about due to things like being "friends" or "my boyfriend's cousin." -- Madison took a breath in just to avoid sighing out loud. She was fairly annoyed with the detour of conversation, having been prepared to start the report she had indeed prepared for the day upon Aisha's approval. Madison had hopes that if the secretary had been there, they would have shut the conversation down right off the bat in order for time sheets to go normally. Unfortunately though, it seemed the three people talking out of turn were too rapid to really prevent the spread of conversation, Madison noted as Aisha went along with it ever so gently. When Aisha dictated that their weekends were to be spent camping, Madison would have liked to groan with some amount of annoyance. She didn't off of the knowledge that Aisha wouldn't have imposed such a fate to even the innocent in the council thus far if not for a reason. Madison could note the more obvious annoyance on Cocoa's face as well as the hyper excitement present on little Hitomi's. At very least, as Sara did finish off her statement, Cocoa seemed to be willing to keep quiet on the matter. Something of which Madison was both grateful for and it seemed another didn't care to do. With a deep intake of breath and a inward apology to Aisha, Madison turned to Khuno with something akin to frustration in her eyes and she spoke, "If you were raised to wait to speak, you would have before interrupting three times, Khuno."She didn't wait a moment for him to get in a word edgewise, to increased that number from three to four, before she started talking. "Now I hope, if you don't mind Aisha, that I can do my report now?" She had tried to be patient, but patient wasn't her middle name. Her middle name was Marci. Which only meant "of Mars." Given that Madison wasn't born off planet, she had taken it to liking of Mars, the Roman equivalent to Ares. Aka a war god. So patience was like, the opposite of her middle name. She stood up from her chair and gave a little noise, a clearing of the throat, as she shifted the papers in front of her to give the pre-school starting report. "I managed to get a list of students from our supervisor in order to have a general idea of the number of students in each committee group. I've managed to get some of their schedules as well to have a better idea on who to sign to each group."She had spent all of last night attempting to figure out the best possible groupings for students. They were falling on a shorter side this year with a whopping 21 students in the class, which didn't matter much in the long run since there was a lot of cross-class committees. The Promotional Committee often intersected with art students in an attempt to promote different school activities with artwork created by the students. The Green School Committee had students from floral tracks and gardening club, to keep the school green, trash free, and keep the garden spiced up. The Reading Committee was another, but Madison had to admit that it was mostly required to promote reading and small events in the library, since most of the volunteer organizing had been taken up by one of the school's resident Betes. There was the Yearbook Committee, not to be confused with Yearbook Class, as they were the Student Government's information hub about the plans the class was taking and what photoshoots were coming up. Then there was the Social Committee, the ones who were the commentators for rallies and the people who set up the games. Student Government itself was a committee as well, albeit, Madison had less of an impact in coordinating their meetings as others did there. "Much to say, with 5 committees and 11 students leftover," since Madison was discounting both the Student Govt. committee and students involved, "If we're aiming to get equaled out groups, we have 1 group with 3 members and 4 groups with 2." Which was confusing to the ears, but important information nonetheless. "However the representatives are encouraged to join more committees outside of this committee, which means we should have equal groups.""Of course, like normal, there will be an actual vote in class on Friday as to signify preferences, and I will be spending the night-" previously she had a weekend, unless Aisha would be so kind as to allow her to bring work on their newly planned camping trip, "organizing the committees themselves before announcing them both in here first to get the approval from Aisha before cementing them in class the following day." It was a tiring process they dealt with, but someone needed to organize the committees. And given Madison had little of a job outside of replacement for Aisha in the case she was missing, this was the remaining usefulness she held. "Any comments?"

Cannan Calandre Cogsworth
daughter of cogsworth and chandeleria While normally, Cannan would choose to opt out of whatever inane nonsense she was being requested for, it was a rare day where her most recent dabble with science was finished to a point she was willing to leave her little workshop. There were three other kids hanging around in the class, however it didn't stay that way for long, as Cannan had to slightly turn around to recognize Liv Amara in the doorway. Cannan was.... impressed. She hadn't ever expected such a famous individual choose to come to this corner of the world. That wasn't to say she believed it would never happen. But it was surprising on some level given that Auradon itself wasn't known for technological advancements. They weren't the worst at it, but compared to Amara's home city, there was a large difference. Which would be quite obvious to see if one actually looked at the group assembled. Three of the four people brought in were from San Fransokyo through at least a parent. Cannan supposed this made her something of the oddball in the situation then. Fitting. As Amara went into explaining the purpose of their attendance, Cannan felt herself intrigued by the entire prospect. Communicate new concepts. Cannan did indeed like the sound of that. As Amara directed her attention to Hono, Cannan admitted her eyes flicked to the girl as well. She recalled the vague information that Hiro Hamada was indeed a man having created a further development into the technological world and she recalled scanning through articles and studies regarding his creations. So Cannan supposed that his daughter was expected to be alongside the same state as mind as him. As others spoke their compliments of Amara or excitement at the prospect, Cannan tilted her head and quietly raised her hand in a small way as to attract the woman's attention for a question. "Is this purely a communicative project of ideas, as you seem to have suggested, or will there be a more fulfilling aspect of accepting this offer?" Upon hearing the words echo, Cannan supposed the was a more gracious way of asking the question. But Cannan was unafraid to reject the offer in the case this was merely a ploy to take the ideas of unassuming kids. After all, she thought over her vague project ideas she had wanted to implement for a while now, with a lack of proper time or money to support it. Cannan simply had the concerns that informing a billion dollar company of her own projects would simply steal the idea and with more people-power and funds, her own life would become obsolete.

Honoka "Hono" Vienna Hamada Daughter of Vanellope and Hiro Hamada
Liv Amara seemed to beam at the sounds of all these students agreeing with what she'd been telling them. The older woman clapped her hands eagerly, before she explained her thought process, and Hono made an attempt to actually listen and follow along, now, since it was clear they were no longer in trouble.
"I'm sure you all have loads of potential!" She agreed, somewhat, with what Kerry had to say about the matter. "Sycorax has been monitoring your progress since the second semester of last year, and you all have qualities that I think would be a massive benefit for us! It's why the four of you were chosen." Hono nodded along, for right now. She didn't have anything to really add. She wasn't going to pester Liv for attention -- at least not right now, not like Kerry was doing -- in the middle of her explanation. "But of course," She started, looking a little less excited now. Still excited, just slightly more regretful. "The board says I'm only able to take on one of you." With the sympathetic look that the blonde woman gave them, Hono's stomach lurched. Had they already chosen? If they'd chosen off of grades alone, she was screwed. Her academic record wasn't abysmal by any stretch, but frequently skipping class to work on her projects did carry its...downsides. Liv's face brightened again, however, as she explained her plans. "So, we're going to make the most of it! We'll have a contest: come up with an original concept for the medical and technological fields by the end of the semester, and whoever puts forth the qualities -- and the idea -- that Sycorax likes the most will get to start their internship with us after the end of this year!"
A contest?
Now that was exciting, and Hono found herself grinning.
It wasn't a scrutiny of her school record, which was a big relief. It was a straightforward contest, where her skill could speak for itself, without the hold of school standards and the like.

Aisha June Agrabah daughter of jasmine and aladdin
Currently, the only one in the room who wasn't testing her patience was Teagan. That wouldn't be surprising, except she tended to have more control over situations. The difference between leading at home and leading at school is that none of these children respected her like her people did. She had to build up to that, while protecting them from themselves. The sheer number of comments thrown in the last five minutes were abhorrent. Who treated other people like this? She knew who raised them, but the fact that they had been raised this way. Was Cocoa mad that she had taken the spot from Alexander? Was Khuro upset with them or his parents? Madison was just as frustrated as the rest of them, she knew that, but she was just making it worse by snapping back.
She wasn't sure if the retreat would be enough to fix everything. Cocoa and Sara had already started to fight, and Khuro was doing his best to anger everyone in the room. The youngest had been late, though she wasn't sure it had been Hitomi's fault. Aisha had to get everyone back under control before things got even worse. "Mr. Roca, you've joined the list of those staying after the meeting." Aisha couldn't fake a smile, she had already been exhausted. Why were people her own age harder to work with than adults who thought they knew better than her? She could prove her own worth to fifty year old men, but not a group of high schoolers. There was a possibility that the problem was them and not her, but she would account for all options.
Aisha didn't remark on Sara's final thoughts. There was anger inside her, a protectiveness of her brother and future King. Sure, her friends where there, but so was the person she had spent her whole life with, her family. The only one in this room who could understand that was Hitomi. She wasn't sure about the younger girl, but this would be the longest time she and Akram had ever gone without seeing each other. It wasn't natural for her, to be so far from him. Her worry about him didn't trump anyone else's, though. Sara was trying to do a nice thing, because she was worried about Komboa. Aisha wasn't about to snap about how her twin was there, and she wouldn't know if he was okay or not for months. Sara didn't deserve her emotional break down, nor would it help her control any meetings in the future. She had to be strong, she couldn't let anyone see her fall.
Madison started out with a strike, but Aisha waited until the end of her report to say anything. If the interruptions kept up, things would only get worse. She was doing her best to stop that from happening. They needed to calm down and do the work that they had all signed up to do, the work that the roles they were voted into demanded of them. To keep anyone from continuing to fight, Aisha spoke calmly, but firmly, "If anyone speaks out of turn again, or interrupts someone, they will be joining the group. I assure you, that's a meeting you don't want to be in." Aisha sent a pointed look to Madison at that, because she was done playing around. She wasn't too angry with the girl, though. Madison had, after all, gotten the meeting back on track. Mostly.
"Questions at the end, though, everyone. Write them down if you want clarification." Aisha put in, writing down a few notes about the rules of conduct she had to go over, the retreat she needed to plan, an reminder about making an agenda and a more relevant question to Madison's report about the possibilities of combining any committees in order to spread the workload more efficiently. She really didn't see why Social and Promotional needed to be two different committees, but if Madison thought it was for the best, she would go along with it. "Teagan, you're next." She added, before anyone else—Specifically, Khuro—could start a fight with Madison.

Teagan Harper Tibbs son of Sergeant Tibbs and Hissy
It was a minute motion, carefully controlled and almost imperceptible, but the cat's tail gave a quick, irritable swish beneath his chair, and it was a fight to keep his ears from pinning themselves back against his head. This year's batch of student reps were so noisy and aggressive. Planning a pep rally shouldn't have been this catty.
And he knew catty. He was a cat, for Heaven's sake!
Clearing his throat before he spoke, which, to the discerning listener could have almost sounded like a cat's irritable mrrrrow, the Tibbs boy started his report.
"While we're on the discussion of the transfers on the Isle," He started, not bringing up the fact that Sara was far from the only one with friends or family on the Isle. That was inflammatory, and he'd rather not be added to the club. Both because he wasn't a child, who could effectively communicate his ideas without antagonizing the others, and because his girlfriend was at wits end. "As you all know, they're connected to us by their phone to call for supplies and help. I figured it would be a...unifying project to hold a food and toiletries drive for the transfers." He was careful in his wording, twitching his nose slightly as he spoke. The divided members of their government might be more likely to rally behind the transfers, their friends and family, than they would behind Isle kids. Even if Teagan hoped the transfers might get enough to share. "I could take a few others with me to organize it?" Preferably one or two of the quarrelers, so he could take them out of Aisha's hair.

Kerson Wade Robinson Son of Wilbur and Karmi
A contest?
Kerry had been interested before, but when Liv mentioned that this was a contest, his smile faded and he felt ambition bubbling up within his chest. He quickly put that charming smile back on his face and folded his hands in front of him, mind racing to figure out what to do.
He had a couple half baked concepts that would likely be something he could pull out and work on. He also, however, didn't want to use anything that had been inspired by his mother or by his work with Hiro. If he was going to be picked by Sycorax, he knew that they would be looking for originality and creativity. They'd be looking for something that was his own, not something that clearly came from the brains of those he admired. His mind was running faster than usual, and he had no doubt that everyone else in the room was doing the same thing.
They were enemies now.
But, he still smiled. Sycorax would want someone with the qualities of a leader, he figured. Someone that could play well with others, and still push their project to the top. Kerry could do that. "Well, good luck, everyone. It'll be an honor to compete against brains such as yours," he said. His eyes settled for a second on the face of each the other students before returning to Liv.
"So, Ms. Amara, what's our timeline going to look like? I'm assuming you'd like us all to come up with pitches for our concepts and create prototypes. Are there check in days? Or due dates for certain steps? Or is it simply up to us to work on our time management and have a prototype ready by the end of the semester?" he asked.
They wanted qualities as well? Kerry could do that.
Intelligent? Check.
Inquisitive? Asking about the timelines. Check.
Team Player? Wishing everyone else luck. Check.
Ambitious? Well, he agreed to participate in her little contest. So, check.
Confidence? Well, he was determined to win this, and that qualified as confidence in Kerry's eyes.
Yeah, this was going to be a piece of cake.
"Again, it is such an honor to be chosen for this contest. I know there's brilliant minds in this room and I'm excited to see what this semester holds for us," he said, again looking at all of his oppon- classmates. Not opponents. They were classmates...
For now.

WINTER TOVA WOWER daughter of wendy wower and trevor trengrove
While Cannan spoke, Winter nodded along. It was an important question, one that Winter hadn't thought about. Her mind was focusing too much on the working with Liv Amara thing to be actually asking any relevant questions like she should be. Winter was grateful to Cannan, for the young woman being on top of her game while she was distracted.
And, well, then Liv Amara complimented her, said she had potential and chose her for this. Out of all the smartest kids, Ms. Amara had picked her. From her knowledge of those in the room, she was the youngest. That realization gave Winter a sense of pride she hadn't known was inside her.
When Liv continued, explaining about only accepting one at the end, Winter didn't react at all. She was still sticking to Hono's side, still very motionless, but the new information didn't change that at all. Winter knew she didn't have a shot at winning this, but she would have fun during the process.
Winter was not stupid.
The others were older, smarter, they had more drive to win. Winter had her heart and her brain, which sometimes counteracted each other. She was not so delusional to think that she actually had any shot at winning this. Still, she was excited for the opportunity to collaborate.
Unfortunately, she became nervous again when Kerry looked at her and stepped behind Hono. It wasn't because she thought her friend would save her if the boy did anything. It was because Hono was practically indestructible and Winter was far more safer with a robot shield. It was something done purely out of love and respect for Hono, while also keeping her own safety in mind.
"Excuse me, Ms. Amara," Winter spoke up, peaking out from Hono, "When you say concept, would you like project plans with designs and specifications, a working prototype or a consumer-ready product that's ready for the shelf?" Her voice was louder than before, as she had grown more confident in her choice to speak.
The young girl wanted to know what she was signing up for. Having this competition on top of maintaining her grade point average would be a struggle. Keeping her mind on schoolwork instead of working on a project for Liv Amara would be nearly impossible. Passing high school was more important than a competition.

Cannan Calandre Cogsworth
daughter of cogsworth and chandeleria A contest regarding the creation- or at very least concept- of new technology. Cannan tilted her head in consideration. There didn't seem to be any downsides to working on this contest. Really, the worst was that one of her newfound competitors managed to come up with a device better suited for the contest than her own. Given the detail of 'original concept,' it wouldn't even be a better version of her own creation. By all accounts, this was a wonderful contest to explore different scientific ideas. And on that thought, Cannan looked downwards towards her hands and regarded the simple way she rubbed her wrist. Oh, this would be wonderful indeed. She didn't quite listen to the questions Kerry posed, and she caught the tail-end of Winter's. It wasn't a bad question from what Cannan was aware. If the girl hadn't asked about that, then Cannan certainly would have liked to. There was use in knowing just how far they'd need to finish their projects in order to win the internship. Of course, it brought up further question her mind had lightly touched on previously. Cannan would hope that Liv Amara wouldn't mind an overload of questions at any rate. Honestly, what would people think of her if she expected scientifically inquisitive people to not ask a barrage of questions regarding the specifics of the contest. "On that, if we are expected to create prototypes or further, are we expected to fund ourselves in our projects? Provide our own supplies and pieces?" After all, if that were the case, Cannan would unfortunately find herself dropping out of the competition. Cannan was saving money indeed for projects she wanted to work on. Had the plans figured out, just needed the time and supplies to actually get started. However, she didn't have enough money to get fully fledged into a competition of this kind against three students whose parents owned companies. That was immediate financial support for the three of them. Cannan, on the other hand, had ditched out on the only reserve of money she was connected to. Assuming he would have been generous enough to gift her resources even if she hadn't left the estate. Her bets were on unlikely.

Honoka "Hono" Vienna Hamada Daughter of Vanellope and Hiro Hamada
As the students continued to ask questions, Liv smiled patiently. Hono was sure she got asked questions like this all the time. Hono was glad they were asking all these questions first. She'd think of those questions herself, sure, but it was just...easier for everyone else to ask them before her. Lazy? Sure. But helpful on her end of things.
"Your time management is mostly your own. At Sycorax, we like to see self-motivated and efficient members of our team, and feel that micro-managing lowers the morale! That being said, the importance of a little...guidance isn't lost on me. Every two weeks, I'd like everyone to check in with your progress." Liv explained, tackling the questions one after another. Hono's mind was already working through the possibilities. She wanted to do something new, but not so bizarrely out there that she'd have to spend more time than she had just hashing out the details. "Would we be checking in as a group? Or individually?" She was genuinely curious about what the others would come up with. They were all really smart, after all, and likely just as driven towards this project as she was.
"To keep the spirit of both community and individual attention, it will alternate from week to week. One week it'll be individual checks on Friday, and the next Friday we'll meet as a group!" Hono nodded, following along just fine. "As for your question, Ms. Wower, we'd like a working prototype by the end of the project. We can work on a finished product once we pick a project." Finally, it was time for Cannan's question. "Since you would be doing work for us, we would be fully investing in your work, Ms. Cogsworth. Anything you do would be entirely funded by our company...within reason." Liv must have seen Hono's mouth open, and anticipated the next question before it was even voiced. "We wouldn't like to go bankrupt over every project, but we have a sizeable wallet to lend in return for innovative science."

Kerson Wade Robinson Son of Wilbur and Karmi
This was way too good to be true and Kerry could feel himself practically vibrating with excitement. This is what he was made for. He could just sorta hide away and work on his project, playing nice when they were doing group stuff and occasionally sucking up to Liv, her children, and anyone else that may have a say in what's going in and who wins. He turned a bit towards Hono specifically, the only one here that he actually had a relationship with already. "Well, Hamada, it will be fun to finally face you in a fair competition, huh?" he asked. Kerry had been working with her father for a while now, so he had to assume that they had similar styles influenced by the great Hiro Hamada. He learned from his parents as well, of course. They were both extraordinary people. But Kerry was a sponge. He wanted more. He wanted to learn from everyone he can. Karmi. Wilbur. Hiro. Now, he had the chance to work with Liv Amara. Everything was going according to plan... Not that he had a plan. He really didn't. But maybe he should work on one. After all, things were starting to fall into place for him.
He stayed quiet as the other three students spoke. He had to admit that everyone here had good questions. As much as Kerry wanted to believe that he was the smartest and most talented one here, he was starting to worry that underestimating them may not be the best route. Eh, he'd worry about that later. Right now, he was just trying to filter through the questions and project ideas swirling through his mind at the moment. "Do you have any words of wisdom for us, Ms. Amara? I know we were chosen because you have faith in us and our intelligence and our ability to be self motivated and guided, but we are still teenagers. We don't have the experience of our parents or the other adults in the area, such as yourself. So, while I fully believe that all four of us are able to handle this on our own, I would just like to see if there's anything extra you can give us before we all go our separate ways. After all, it's only fair for us to get the same advice, isn't it?" he asked. Again, Kerry looked around at his fellow students. Liv wanted team players, didn't she? Hopefully it would give him bonus points there to point out that he wanted them all to get the same advice.
Efficiency. He could be efficient as well. The Robinson boy was already mentally working on a schedule for himself. Tonight would be devoted to rough brainstorming. Narrowing down concepts, going through all of his thoughts, deciding what - broadly - he wanted to work on. Plus, he was secretly happy to have the distraction. He wasn't going to be outwards about it, but he worried about Kassi. His sister could get herself into some trouble if she wasn't careful. He glanced at Hono again. Her sister had gone to the Isle as well. That easily made her his biggest threat. She was raised and taught by Hiro. She would likely be looking for a distraction with her sister going out to the Isle. As for the others, Winter was young and Kerry hoped that would be in his favor. Cannan wasn't from San Fransokyo. Smart people could come from anywhere, but he couldn't help but hope that being from such a technologically advanced place would give him an automatic advantage. What worried him was that he had no distinct advantage over Hono.

WINTER TOVA WOWER daughter of wendy wower and trevor trengrove
Winter was grateful that the other girls were asking important questions. The more context she had on this competition, the better. Cannan had posed a great concern. Winter couldn't have asked her parents to fund her crazy ideas for something like this. Sure, they were successful but they weren't fund their sixteen year old's science project rich.
The young girl's eyebrow furrowed, at the thought of doing this in her own time, outside of school. Sure, the school had great labs, but it wasn't as if this was SFIT. Besides, if Sycorax was funding it and watching over them, they should provide a safe place to work as well. For the first time, Winter interjected her own thoughts into the conversation.
"Are you providing us with labs? I'm not against working here, I'm just not certain that projects like this are safe in such a public place. All students have access to these rooms." When she realized that she had interrupted, she blushed in embarrassment. She hadn't meant to, but the thought was stuck in her head. What if a student came in and played with something they shouldn't?
There were a lot of younger students who wouldn't know any better, who could get seriously injured.
She would just die right there on the spot, if she was responsible for someone getting hurt. The more she fretted about the possibility, the more anxious she grew. Winter grabbed Hono's arm, trying to seek comfort in her friend.
Winter hoped no one thought she was mean for interjecting, especially because it was Kerry who she had went after. She hadn't exactly liked his phrasing, but asking Liv for advice seemed like a good idea. Winter just had more questions, she wanted to know everything. It seemed like the other girls agreed with her as well.

Cannan Calandre Cogsworth
child of cogsworth and chandeleria Cannan could deal with that. All of this information thus far was extremely promising. There wasn't much of a reason not to accept at this point. They were essentially giving four people free reign to do whatever they want in the name of science. She was both satisfied with the questions she had asked as well as the others that were offered to participate in the event. Speaking of her soon-to-be-competitors... Cannan didn't know any of them well. She didn't know their abilities, their interests, how good they actually were or if they were picked because their parents happened to be renowned scientists. She had never paid special attention to any of them in the past. If she were to solely make interpretations on what they'd be like through the competition, well... Hono seemed a little distant and not all there, though Cannan wasn't sure if that was a true interpretation of the girl or just the awe-struck nature she had regarding Liv. If it was the latter, Cannan surely hoped she'd be able to get over it, otherwise there wouldn't be much competition there. Kerry seemed overconfident. Simple as that. Cannan wasn't going to say she wasn't an overconfident person, but she at least believed she had more ground to stand on than he did. Then her only qualms with Winter thus far had to be the fact she was so young. It wasn't a fair assessment as otherwise the girl seemed to be rather there, but it was a factor nonetheless. And then Cannan promptly disregarded all of that information, since it didn't entirely matter to her how well they did. Sure, this was a competition on who could build a device that would help the most people, but if one only strived far enough to beat out the others, would their project really be good enough in the first place? She didn't care what kind of personalities the other kids had. She just needed to focus on her own thing.

Honoka "Hono" Vienna Hamada Daughter of Vanellope and Hiro Hamada
"Aren't the projects supposed to be based on our own experience and plans, Kerry?" Hono finally addressed her classmate, smiling at him. "If Liv -- uh...can we call you Liv, Mrs. Amara? -- " At Liv's agreeable nod, the small girl continued, "If Liv wanted us to fish for what she actually wanted to see, she'd tell us what she wanted." After this, she gave an apologetic look towards Liv. Had she meant to interrupt? Probably not. But a couple of turns of Kerry trying his best to lick Liv Amara's boots got tiresome and sickening, after a while, and she felt it was her solemnly sworn duty to point that out.
Dad would be so proud.
"What do the rest of you guys think? I'm not opposed to giving hints, I suppose, but that doesn't invalidate -- if I'm Liv, now, then can I just call you all by your first names? I like it, it makes us feel like friends -- Hono's opinion on the matter, either." Hono felt a surge of pride when the famous scientist admitted she had a point. Because she did. She absolutely felt like she had a point, even if her initial comment was mostly meant to call out Kerry's irritating habit of sucking up to any remotely successful adult in their general vicinity. Yes, Liv Amara was a powerful woman, a successful business leader, and a brilliant mind. They were lucky that they were so talented that she noticed them. But the point of this project was to do them, as individuals. Individual talents, strengths, and viewpoints. No one in the room came from exactly the same walk of life -- she knew Kerry and Winter, obviously, but they were entirely different from her. And Cannan couldn't be underestimated, either. Just because she wasn't from San Fransokyo didn't mean she didn't have a brain. Or skills they'd never even heard of. "I'm sorry, though. Most of our labs are in San Fransokyo, as you know, so we can't provide any, here. I did speak with the headmaster though, about closing off four of the school labs until the end of the semester." Liv looked regretful at this, shaking her head a little.
