honestly the entirety of Thunder and Shadow-Shattered Sky made me feel anxious and nervous, mostly because of The Kin.
first of all Darktail scares me to absolutely no end, thanks to what he did to both Rain and Needletail #needletaildeservedbetter, did Tigerclawstar scare me? yes, but Darktail took his villain antics and spun them up to the very extreme
and every time the POV would switch to Violetpaw, I could feel the fear that she had throughout her chapters, and the fact that Darktail tried to manipulate her to do some of his bidding absolutely sickens me
...but nevertheless, they were amazing books! almost as good as The Darkest Hour, almost.

I agree about Darktail, especially the part where those cats believed that he was letting them go...only to be killed instead, and no one knew about it. Like, Strikestone and Juniperclaw were waiting in ThunderClan for their mother to come for them, but she never showed up, and they had no idea that she was already dead.
Another scene is Ravenwing's death scene, and what happens afterwards. He was this little medicine cat, going to the half-moon meeting like he always does, and then, Mapleshade kills him in the most sacred spot, by the moonstone. She then leaves him there, and poor Sloefur and Larkwing stroll up there, believing it to be a regular run of the mill medicine cat meeting, only to find out that their fellow medicine cat had been killed. Then, after they bury him, Mapleshade comes and digs up his body, leaving him for the birds to feast on. Maybe it was the way it was written, or just the 0_o of it all, but it kind of scared me.

I’ve never really been scared, but Shattered sky was really the only chilling book in the series, for me. Darktail was a great villain. Cats steadily disappearing and being drowned was pretty scary too. Then, OOtS was too predictable for me, Mapleshade was okay, and Sol was awful. I just really want a good female villain. And no, not sleekwhisker.

Darktail was probably what made me feel a little terrified.

Right after I first read ITW I picked up one of the books from a newer arc and saw that Firestar was now listed as leader. I was terrified because I thought Bluestar was such a beautiful name and I didn’t want her to die because then TC would be led by someone with a less pretty name.
But uh... I can’t think of any moments besides that lol
