I used to ship just because of cute fanart but now I have no opinion on it.

Their personalities would clash too much, they're both stubborn and get easily jealous.

My F/F NOTP. Hate it.

Not really. At first I thought it was cute because of the scene in the tunnels, but after rereading OOtS, there wasn’t really any friendship at best, instead Blossomfall was generally very insensitive towards Ivypaw. Besides, I adore IvyFern.

I love how most of the votes are NOTP. back when OOTS was happening it probably would have been more popular

I really don't understand why people ship these two. So I dislike/hate it since their personalities would clash more than BramblexSquirrel.

i have always strongly disliked it. i also just hate how "popular" it used to be (or still is? but judging by this poll, it's now hated).
their personalities would clash, just like what others on this thread already mentioned. plus, it's not even that close of a friendship and it would be toxic if explored more in that time period

I never understood why this ship is popular. Blossomfall was nasty to Ivypool and is just nasty in general.

I wouldn't mind if their relationship had been written better...as in, better than the tunnel scenes, where they didn't interact much after that. They never became friends properly and seemed to mostly resent one another. I get that the LGBT+ community has toxic and/or unhealthy relationships (it's pretty rampant in our community, in fact...), but I don't like the message BlossomIvy's relationship would be giving if they were canon. It goes without saying that a F/F ship that consists of a main character and a semi-important character (Blossom being one of the few DF trainees, she got more of a spotlight than the other TC trainees) would be a pretty big deal, and obviously one of the few we'd get.
Personally, I'd prefer if we had good, healthy F/F and M/M ships first. We've got TallJake and RavenBarley for the latter, but we're sorely missing out on the former. Even though BlossomIvy aren't canon, it's still mentioned often when the subject of non-hetero ships that should've happened come up, and I wish there were a more popular one.

tbh I’m not a fan of most of the popular f/f ships in warriors and blossomivy is especially bad

A horrible ship. Blossomfall was pretty awful to Ivypool, so it's ridiculous to ship these cats.

Why ship that when I can have healthy, supportive IvyFern?

It's ok. The fandom over here really gives it too much hate and exaggerates how "toxic" their relationship is, while the fandom on Tumblr overrates it and obsesses over it way too much. It's the fault of the poor writing in OOTS that they weren't given any development after the tunnel scene, and in fact completely dropped Blossomfall's character arc after SOTM and never resolved it. Those who ship it are presumably (since it's non-canon and all) imagining a scenario where they do follow up on Blossomfall's arc, and the whole "toxic" thing seems to be assuming they never grow out of Blossomfall being a bully in Fading Echoes, when they were clearly setting her up to do so in SOTM but then forgot about it because of bad writing.

The unfortunate thing is that the only good LBGTQ+ ship in Warriors is RavenxBarley and even then, there are some issues depending on who you ask. While the Erins can be subtle and I want more LBGTQ+ relationships, I want them developed and not made up to please a community for brownie points. The Erins shouldn't be like J.K. Rowling.

This is interesting. Back on the older forums, and I guess a few years back when we were still waiting for the release of AVoS, I remember this pairing was much more popular. And the fans of it were very militant, there's also a lot of fanart, and it has some big sister ships like BriarDove, etc. But it's interesting to see just how much things have changed over time. I personally didn't mind, no care for it at first and the art was nice, but I've had some nasty run-ins with the shippers, who are beyond ridiculous. I also remember how much flake they gave FernIvy throughout AVoS, oof. At this point it's hard no for me, seeing it makes my eyes roll. I know people want wlw representation in the books to be canon, me too, but I'd rather not have one this controversial and unhealthy tbh. There's a difference between good and bad representation and this easily falls into the bad.
