Did you like the original arc or the second arc more?

I think the first arc had a better story to tell and the only real filler book was the fourth one, and even then, it still progressed the plot. However, the second arc has a better protagonist and builds up the dogs' world some more.
If I had to choose, I would probably say the first arc was better. They both have their good parts, though.
