SO what ive been thinking about is a clan based in midwest america
more specifically, southern indiana.
i know the area best because i live in it (ofc) and it just seems like a neat place to throw a clan in
the territory is a bit large compared to a normal clan territory.
the camp is near a creek, but not close enough to get affected by flooding. there are a number of sinkholes and caves in their camp that they use as dens
around the creek is purely woodlands, and their territory goes out into a large hayfield (the cats are aware of tractors dw).
there is also a barn but they dont really care about it unless its leafbare
i feel like they would also basically just have most traits of the og 5 clans
running, climbing trees, goin thru undergrowth, some night vision. maybe a little bit of swimming because of the creek
i have a bit of a list of what this clan may eat:
mice (very common)
birds (very common)
rabbits (uncommon, sometimes rare)
fish (common, but the clan doesnt hunt them a lot)
deer or wild turkey carcasses (in leaf-fall when hunting season starts) (dead deer are more common, but dead turkeys are rare)
the clan kind of goes scavenger mode in leaf fall and leafbare because prey becomes scarce. they are also more willing to stray a little further out at this time because of this as well. they might also try to hunt in the barn since mice kinda just hang out there
some predators/enemies:
red-tailed hawks (can be hunted if small enough. big boy ones catch cats tho) (common)
eagles (rare. only a few live in the area but they can defo eat a cat.) (a pair of eagles live in my area so thats why im including them)
coyotes (common)
foxes (uncommon)
dogs (common, but they dont usually go far enough to get to the clan)
i also had this idea where the clan is down south enough to not be super far from the ohio river (in the clan's terms, great river). maybe trekking to the river and back would be a sort of ceremonial thing? they'd have to be wary of twoleg stuff sure but it could totally be a bravery test for apprentices becoming warriors or smth idk
i know this is a lot but like.. i really just cant form a clan on my own haha.
