I think Graystripe was a missed opportunity to see how getting fixed can affect a Clan cat. While the other current or former kittypets can be written off as having irresponsible owners, I would think animal shelters would be better about that. I think it could give Graystripe an interesting struggle, with having to fight his newfound laziness. Maybe in the manga, he could keep procrastinating when he would escape, as well as starting to find kittypet life more enjoyable. Then he snaps out of it, maybe with the help of Millie and/or dreams of his Clan life, and forces himself to get moving. I would be interested to hear what other people would add to this.

I’ve always seen it as strange that most kittypets seem to never get neutered especially since Greystripe would’ve been a rescue cat. Warriors is set in England I’m from England and I know that the RSPCA try to neuter all of their animals and encourage owners to have their pets neutered. You have some interesting ideas there of how it would make him slightly more lazy. Though once they finally did travel back to the clans they would’ be able to have kits so either they’d just be friends or there’d be a surrogate father. I can imagine Dustpelt or Brambleclaw would be the surrogate father as that would explain Briarlight’s colouring.

Actually it's heavily implied Shanty from Pinestars novella was spayed. Smudge was also neutered. But I think that's the only times the idea was mentioned lol

There's also Henry

I have a neutered cat and he’s anything but lazy. He’s the most active cat in the house.

Oof, I was just going on what the books told me. Now I'm wondering realistically how it would affect Graystripe, because I think if he was fixed in the books, he would still feel lazy because that is what was established when a cat goes to the Cutter.
