Was curious to think who you all thought should've been the final villain of the original series. Do you think the BloodClan twist was good or do you think it should've ended with Firestar vs Tigerstar? Or somebody else?

Absolutely Tigerstar. Scourge was too weird, random, and abrupt.

Eh, I can’t really choose. I actually really liked Scourge, but I also feel like it should’ve been Tigerstar. We had a whole arc of him being the villain so it did seem strange to just throw him away.

I love Scourge dumpstering Tigerstar. I wish he'd been set up earlier, but it works very effectively.

Tigerclaw, he has been the villain since day one, and it was nice that it ended with him.
As for Scourge, I'm glad he was there, but I wish he would have just gotten his revenge on Tigerclaw, and just walked away, and didn't go any further than that.

They throw him in so last minute, so randomly, it's off putting to me, and destroys the Fire vs Tiger build up. I was never a fan of it from the start.

I know they named Whorlpelt and some other cats after BlogClan members, so who knows?

I actually really liked the BloodClan twist, and I would definitely rather have the final battle be all four Clans vs. Someone Else, rather than Clan against Clan. I thought BloodClan provided a good opportunity to bring the Clans together and have a theme of unity to end the series. However, Scourge needed to be introduced as a threat much earlier. I don't even think he needed to necessarily be prominent, just having him in the background would have been enough. Maybe he poses a threat to all the Clans, but everyone's so focused on Tigerstar they don't notice him lurking, then he assassinates Tigerstar and everyone's like "WHOA WTF JUST HAPPENED?"
What I'm saying is I actually really like TDH as is, it just needed a wee bit more foreshadowing.
So yeah, Scourge.

Tigerstar. BloodClan was fun and all, but I feel like they were unnecessary.

I voted for Tigerstar, but Scourge would have been a great villain if he appeared sooner.

I actually think that the prophecy in The Darkest Hour should have been revealed in an earlier book.

it should have been Tigerstar, the Scourge twist was good but it should have come earlier in the series.

I'm actually glad that it wasn't Tigerstar. I think he was painted to be a sort of "ultimate warrior", and Firestar points out multiple times that he knows Tigerstar would absolutely flatten him in a battle. Certainly every cat from every Clan treats him like a demigod.
I like that for once, a villain falls victim to their own hubris and ego. He was too ambitious, too confident in his own ability.
However, I do wish that BloodClan had been set up from the beginning, even hinted at. Rusty could have met them in book one, and rogues could have been a more consistent and ominous problem.
