But what would you like to see in Graystripe's Vow?
What hopes do you have for it?

I hope it starts off with him as a kit, and we get to see who his parents are, also, who the parents of Sandstorm are. I also would really love to see him meeting Firestar from his POV, and just basically everything that happened in his life.
I also hope he gets an honorable death
Oh, and I hope he has some meaningful scenes with his B kits, like I don't recall him ever interacting with them

It would be nice to see more interactions with this original five crew, but then it feels way too nostalgic since all of their stories have been told. I’d love to see Graystripe and his time in RiverClan, how he faced the deaths of Silverstream and Feathertail, and interactions with Crookedstar.

It's already been confirmed to take place within AVS, so no Bildungsroman for us. (Technical term for stories that follow a character's development, usually from childhood).
My guess is Graystripe makes some sort of pact to take down Bramblefake or die trying. I could see him and accomplices challenging him to a battle which results in Graystripe's death. His death then makes him a martyr and draws even more cats into the resistance. Eventually Bramblefake is killed in battle and Graystripe is remembered forever as a warrior to the end.

That sounds amazing, but at the same time it makes me feel bad for Bramblestar... I wonder...if FakeBramble dies, will he be kicked from the body, and will real Bramble be able to return to it?

I don't really see why he couldn't, as that was how he got possessed in the first place. Of course he'd been to be close by when this happens. The resistance could coordinate it and have Rootpaw relay the message.

I'd like there to be some development of GreySilver in it. If it's taking place in TBC then he can still think back a lot on his relationships with Silverstream, Millie and with Firestar, a la Crowfeather thinking about Feathertail and Leafpool in CT. I also hope we get some clarity on his relationship status in StarClan - fingers crossed for GreySilverMillie.
I agree he's probably going to take on Brashfur, too. I'll be glad if Greystripe gets a hero's death scene. He deserves one.
Also: the prologue will either be him meeting Firestar or him meeting Silverstream. I'm calling it now.

I want to see the interactions between him and his remaining kits. Maybe he could talk some sense into his son, if Bumblestripe is still a spy for Fakestar at that point...

It would reveal why he has lived for so long as he appears in nearly every main series book with the exception being Dawn of The Clans. He must be important. I theorize that the prologue would take place at the end of his life and it would be where Graystripe makes a vow to Rock (I am also theorizing that Rock is a God) to fulfill a task that would take a very long time to do so as a result, Rock discreetly time travels and possesses a much younger Graystripe (Graykit) and causes him to live a extremely extended life to fulfill his vow. I don’t know what the vow would be but I am only theorizing that it has something to do with his unnatural long life. I am also theorizing that the very end of the warriors series as a whole would end in a circle, with the clans eventually disbanding and becoming The Ancients, creating a massive paradox/time loop.

Now that you mention it....maybe that's why Graystripe ties in with the new events. Something probably goes down between him and Bumblestripe, that would be juicy.

The prologue for Crowfeather's Trial had both Feathertail's death and Crowfeather and Leafpool coming back to the Clan in Twilight. The prologue for Squirrelflight's Hope takes place right after her and Leafpool become apprentices. So I'm expecting the prologue for Graystripe's Vow to take place during the first series. The manga will probably be a past event as well, unless it's like the Tigerheart's Shadow manga which was in a different cats POV.
The book itself takes place during TBC. It's a little odd since Graystripe is now an elder and isn't going anywhere... unless he gets exiled for being a codebreaker. He was always the cat I was really worried about the most. I'm still hoping that we find out how Millie died and maybe find out who his father is.

I hope Graystripe realizes how terrible Bumblestripe is and knocks some sense into him. If he dies, then hopefully it'll be a good one.

I kind of want it to be like Crowfeather's Trial in the sense that we'll catch glimpses of memories we didn't get to see either at all or in his POV. He is an elder after all, and with ThunderClan so different, he's probably reminiscing of the old times. I feel like if they do this properly it can be a really heartfelt goodbye to our last OG cat.
