Was he even really that bad? I don't remember much about him, but what I do remember, is that he was a REALLY nice brother to Nightstar when they were apprentices, and that he was shown to be a good father in Tigerclaw's Fury (even though he should have been dead then)
In Tigerclaw's Fury, he was absolutely distraught when he heard about Cinderfur, and he basically said that it should have been him instead, or something like that.
Also, in Yellowfang's Secret, he seemed like a kind and helpful cat, and not bad at all.
Speaking of cats in the Dark Forest that don't seem that bad....Stumpytail.
What did Stumpytail even do other than go on patrol with Tigerclaw like one time?
So...
You have one guy who took the life of a leader, and tried to kill three other cats, and he gets StarClan And then you have another guy, who just went on patrol with an evil guy, and he gets a trip to the Dark Forest. It's because of his name, isn't it?
Just kidding, but what?!

Tigerclaw's Fury is non-canon nonsense so I see no reason to qualify it at all. In Yellowfang's Secret it was all prior to his radicalization under Brokenstar.
Anyway, Clawface killed someone while trying to kidnap kits, that's pretty unjustifiable. Blackstar did the same and frankly if he had died at the same time, he should have had the book thrown at him too.

As vectoring said, Clawface helped steal kits and killed a cat. He was that bad.

If he had died at the same time... and that's what's fundamentally unfair about the whole system. Blackstar gets to go to StarClan because he was lucky enough to not die until both the charismatic leaders who he was following and doing evil things for died, and then get a long time as leader to serve his Clan. Clawface, who committed the same sort of crimes and had the same pre-Brokenstar noble personality, dies early, so he goes to the Dark Forest. I feel like if their roles had been switched just by fate, Clawface would have gotten into StarClan and Blackstar to the Dark Forest.

I actually kind of like Blackstar, I mean, I think it was really cool how he took out Redwillow, but I 10000% agree with this.

All YS said was that Clawface tended to be a bit rough, but was always kind to his weaker brother.
Still, Clawface killed a medicine cat in cold-blood, then kidnapped kits from that same Clan. He might be kind to his brother, but he was still a bad cat for what he had done.

Just because someone bad shows traits of being good doesn't really mean they're actually good, it just means they have standards. Clawface still kidnapped kits and killed a medicine cat, and his actions in Tigerclaw's Fury shouldn't matter because he should've been long dead by then since Graystripe killed him way back in Fire and Ice.
As for Stumpytail, he followed Brokenstar according to TF, but again, it really shouldn't be taken as canon because it has so many inconsistencies that it's hard to take it seriously, especially since he actually stayed in ShadowClan after Brokenstar was exiled.

You just have to make the most of the life you're given.
