If it's not too much trouble, can someone give me the abbreviations for all the Warriors books? I keep getting confused and mixed up when I see them in posts.

Everyone kinda just picks their own, as far as I can tell. There are some common ones, like ITW, but for some you just go with whatever makes sense. Like, POT is a common one for Power of Three, but I prefer using Po3 because it makes more sense to me and is more unique.
Also, the fandom at large has yet to realize that The Sun Trail and The Silent Thaw both abbreviate to TST, which makes things hella confusing. I've seen some people do TSiT for Silent Thaw, but we'll see if that catches on or not.
In general, here are the ones I see the most:
Series 1: TPB or OS
ITW, FAI, FoS, RS, ADP, TDH
Series 2: TNP. None of these books are typically abbreviated because they're all one word.
Series 3: POT or PO3
Generally for this series I see people write out the full title. VERY rarely I'll see DR for Dark River, but that's it.
Series 4: OotS
TFA, FE, NW, SotM, TFW, TLH
Series 5: DotC
TST (The Sun Trail), TR (Thunder Rising), PoS (Path of Stars). The rest I usually see written out.
Series 6: AVoS
TAQ, TAS, SS, DN, RoF, TRS
Series 7: TBC
LS, TST, VoS. Veil of Shadows I've also seen as AVS, but that one doesn't make sense to me.

I think it’s good to note that lowercase words in a title like “and” or “of” should be kept lower case in the abbreviations to avoid confusion. It’s still correct to say it both ways, but I think most people would be able to figure out that TaS mean Thunder and Shadow faster than if it were to say TAS, when there are nearly a hundred books in the series.
This made me realIze that Long Shadows and Lost Stars also have the same abbreviations, among many others...

However, I do see TAS waaaaaaaay more often than I see TaS, so that's what I put in my post. Same with FAI for Fire and Ice, as opposed to FaI. I'm also the only person I know who says Po3 rather than POT or PO3. Others, like DotC, are almost always lowercase and never uppercase, so that's what I wrote. There's really no given standard, though your suggestion is a great one. |
