( mintedstar/fur, I am interested.  I have all of my characters except for the medicine cat open.) ( rockydublin) Bramblepath simply nodded. He did not want to admit that Mothpelt merely saying the word love was enough to get his heart pounding. He started to slowly meander towards the spot that they were going to check out, his mind still running in just about every direction except the one he wanted it to. In a moment of complete spontaneity he blurted "How long have you felt this way about me?" It took less than ten seconds after he said that to mentally kick himself in the gut. "You don't have to answer that if you don't want to. My mind is still kinda chaotic so I just said that without thinking." |

( mintedstar/fur, it isn't exactly the best start ever, but her you go.) Bumblepaw meandered out of the apprentices den to greet the bright sunlight. He blinked a few times, letting his eyes adjust. Once he could see clearly enough to not run into every cat in the clearing he began to slowly pad in the direction of the fresh kill pile. It wasn't that he was particularly hungry yet, but he had forgotten to eat a few times before going out with his mentor and regretted it later when he couldn't focus due to his hunger. |

( 𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱 𝓑𝓻𝓪𝓶𝓫𝓵𝓮 looks fine to me!) With careful pawsteps, of what Mallowkit believed were careful pawsteps, he followed after Bumblepaw as he approached the freshkill. Bumblepaw, Mallowkit thought, would hopefully be completely unaware of Mallowkit's coming. It was with each step that Mallowkit thought he'd be called upon, but each time he hesitated, he figured he was still too far away. He was still hiding behind one of the dens, after all. There was a lot of ground to cover before he could pounce. But he had a plan for that! "Charge!" he said, scampering straight for Bumblepaw, tail held high. |

( mintedstar/fur) Oblivious to the end, and honestly zoning out more than a little, Bumblepaw didn't notice the kit until Mallowkit was almost directly on top of him. His heart jumped into his throat at the same time his body did when he became aware of the kit's presence. After his fight or flight response died down, he grinned widely at the kit. "Well, I gotta admit, you got me good that time," he chuckled. |

"I did!" squeaked Mallowkit, bouncing up and down before spinning just a little to look at Sparkpaw. "Hello!" he said brightly. "I wanna play pounce," he said, tail flicking back and forth excitedly. "Do you want to play?"

( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) Bumblepaw glanced around the clearing, making sure that neither his mentor nor the deputy were heading in his direction. When he had clarified that neither were currently looking for him, he turned his attention to the kit with a grin. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Although I'm pretty certain given your previous performance that you're going to win," he said. While entertaining the kits was not exactly on his to-do list, it was admittedly more fun than anything on said to-do list. |

Spottail 𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱 𝓑𝓻𝓪𝓶𝓫𝓵𝓮Mallowkit's small tail wiggled in the air as he crouched down. He then proceeded to bounce in place several times, as if just waiting to pounce. There was a lot to do, a lot of ways to play, and he wasn't sure if he could think of just one. It was a lot going on in his head and he couldn't pick. "What should we play?" he asked, suddenly going still so he could consider the question.

With as much speed and precision as he could use while still keeping the kit safe, he lunged forward and purposely missed the kit. He dramatized his landing for added effect, pausing to look down at his paws as if in surprise that Mallowkit wasn't pinned below him. "I guess I need to work on my skills. I could have sworn I was going to get you with that one." |

𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱 𝓑𝓻𝓪𝓶𝓫𝓵𝓮 SpottailSquealing with excitement, Mallowkit ran in the opposite direction from where Bumblepaw had been. He was laughing and tumbling over his paws a little, but it was clear Bumblepaw hadn't really scared him so much caused the small kit more joy. "Pounce!" he said excitedly, spinning around as quick as he could and throwing himself at Bumblepaw. His little paws were aimed as high as they could go.

( mintedstar/fur) Bumblepaw recoiled a little as Mallowkit launched at him. He stopped himself from fully avoiding the pounce, instead choosing to let the kit push him over. As Mallowkit connected with his shoulder, he let out a meow of surprise. He tried not to make it so dramatic that the kit thought he wasn't being serious. After he was solidly on the ground he rolled away from the kit and stood up, taking the time to shake the dirt and dust from his fur. "That was a good one. Guess it's my turn then," he purred, a mischievous grin creeping onto his face. |

Taking the appearance of Sparkspaw as a stroke of good luck, the small kit went barreling toward the other apprentice this time. However, instead of bowling him over, Mallowkit darted around the apprentice's soft pelt and tail and hid away from Bumblepaw. No way for the other apprentice to pounce on Mallowkit if Mallowkit couldn't be found!

Sparkspaw jumped little bit, when felt Mallowkit. But he watched him carefully understanding what he was doing, he winked at Mallowkit then replied to Bumblepaw. “Gee I wonder where he went. It looks like he has disappeared into thin air.”

(Sorry for the late response, I had a wedding/family gathering that I went to, and there was no wi-fi) ( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) Bumblepaw chuckled, turning his gaze away in case the kit peeked out. "I don't know, maybe he's in the nursery," he said, turning to move in that direction. He paused after a few steps, breaking into a grin that went from ear to ear. He turned around and stared at Sparkspaw, trying his best to have a malicious look on his face. "Well, I suppose that if I can't get the kit, you'll do just fine!" With that, he lunged playfully dashed at the apprentice, hoping to get a reaction out of both of them. |

The tiny kit darted away, hoping that he'd have time to reach a better hiding spot before Sparkspaw and Bumblepaw finished what they were doing. A hiding spot might be a little hard, at least to stay hidden, when the small kit was giggling so much, but he managed to scramble into one of the dens and press himself against its side.

(Why does orientation week exist?) ( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) As Bumblepaw was not as lithe as Sparkspaw he tumbled to the ground under his fellow apprentice's charge. His new position on the ground granted him the sight of Mallowkit darting into the Elder's den. With a grin plastered all over his face, he clambered to his feet. Bumblepaw made eye contact with Sparkspaw and flicked his tail in the direction of the den which the kit had hidden in. He crouched down and slowly started stalking in that direction, intending to startle the kit out of the den. |

Sparkspaw sighed, he trying to protect the kit not let him be caught. But he didn’t want Bumblepaw to know, so walked over him and crouched down. Then he wondered what to do next. Before he could ask Bumblepaw what’s the plan, Jewelpaw walked over to them. “Hello, what are you toms doing?”

( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) Bumblepaw's heart jumped into his throat and he twisted his head, eyes wide with surprise. His shock was momentary, however, and it only took a moment for him to calm down upon seeing that it was only Jewelpaw. He nodded his head towards the elders' den. "Playing with Mallowkit," he said. If it weren't for the audible laughing coming from the elders' den, Bumblepaw's grin might have implied that he was bullying the kit. |

Mallowkit remained hiding in the elders' den, intent on making sure he stayed away from Bumblepaw and whoever else might join in the fun. So he remained there, hiding, and watching from the entrance. Starskit was on her way to Elders den to see if she could get more stories today, when she entered the den, she noticed Mallowkit who was hiding for the apprentices.
“Hello, Mallowkit. Are you playing hide and seek? If you are, can I play too?”

( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) Bumblepaw's grin widened visibly as he noticed the kit's ears peeking around the edge of the den entrance. He flicked his tail in the kit's direction without averting his eyes. "It started off with a bit of pounce. He got me pretty good. Now it seems to have turned into hide-and-seek," he said. Bumblepaw slowly lowered himself towards the ground, and started creeping toward the elder's den. He had no intention to attempt to pounce the kit within the den, nor did he want to scare the kit. Instead, he slowly peeked around the edge at the kit, giving him plenty of time to dart out. |
