Rabbitkit's ears tilted back and she looked guilty for several seconds, even after the elder seemed to have let the kindness back into his words. Whoops. "That's nice," she said, her comment in a bit lower tone. She felt embarrassed for saying what she had said. (I just want to appologize again to everyone for how friggin slow my responses have been. I will try to respond more frequently, so bear with me.) ( rockydublin and Spottail) Bramblepath nodded at Crimsonfang's words. "Someone fetch me cobwebs to stop the bleeding. Also, if anyone knows what goldenrod and comfrey look like, could you bring some of both as well? I'd like to stop the bleeding as soon as possible, and I need thos two herbs to speed his recovery. While I can't do anything immediate to bring him back to consciousness, I can at least do this much." ( mintedstar/fur and Spottail) Nightheart looked over at Starskit and smiled sadly. "Sparrowclan is my home, not theirs. Wouldn't you find it hard to abandon the place you consider your home and the cats you consider your family for the sake of one cat? Besides, when it comes down to it most of the cats that would recognize me in Hawkclan are in the older generation, and most didn't make the journey to help us against the rogues," he said. He then turned back to Rabbitkit and contined, saying, "As for your question, there are plenty of stories to tell about my time in Hawkclan. However, I'm not sure whether you would prefer a funnier story, or a more action based one." |

The two cat came back setting them in front of the medicine cat. Stygiansnow and Crimsonfang moved out of the way but stayed near enough to watch his work. |

"Funnier!" Rabbitkit said without hesitation. She didn't want to make the elder sad and something told her that bits of the past which he'd already touched on really did make him sad. She didn't want to do that again. Glancing at Starskit, she considered a couple of thoughts she had in her head and then nodded. Alright then. ( rockydublin and Spottail ) Bramblepath glanced back at the patient for a minute, running the possible courses of action through his head, then nodded and turned to face the other cats. "I'm going to need to remove the leaves from his wound. While they work in a pinch, the webs work significantly better," he said. As he spoke he lowered himself next to the injured cat and started gently attempting to extract the leaves from the wound. ( mintedstar/fur and Spottail ) Nightheart smiled and ran his mind through the possible choices. Given his plesant memories from his previous clan, it wasn't hard to find one that he thought the kits might like. "Did you know that up in the mountains it snows a lot more than it does up here?" He asked slowly. "This provides a lot more games than you might be able to come up with down here." |

(Apologies to everyone for the extremely late post. I wrote up a response post a day or two ago, but my computer decided to delete it for goodness knows what reason. Sorry.) ( Jekyll, Same xD) ( mintedstar/fur, thats fine ) "The snow doesn't get deep enough down here to do most of them. Back up in the mountains, the snow would get deep enough that we could dig burrows in the snow and play hide and seek like that. Also, if you got a big enough clump of snow you could roll it down steep slope and it would get bigger as it rolled," Nightheart said. A twinkle coming into his eyes as he mentioned rolling the snowball down the slope. ( rockydublin and Spottail) Bramblepath nodded, moving over enough to let Summersplash in. As she was finishing removing the leaves, he took the herbs he had asked for and chewed them into a pulp. Once the leaves were fully removed, he meticulously spread the herbs across the cats injury. Once that was done, he began to apply the cobwebs. Once he was finally done with all of that, he sat back and let out the breath he had unconciously been holding the entire time. He glanced back at the warriors and gestured towards the injured cat with his tail. "In emergency situation, just the cobwebs will work. Make sure they're on tight enough though, otherwise they won't stop the blood." |

"Did you play those sorts of games?" asked Rabbitkit. "Weren't you scared or anything? I would think that much snow would be scary." She shivered, as if she was feeling the snow on her back right as she said that.

( Spottail and mintedstar/fur) Nightheart smiled at the two kits. "Yes, I did participate in the games. It was very fun, even if at first it seemed scary. Once you joined in a few times, you learned how to do it safely and it was incredibly entertaining to participate in," he said. He remembered the first time he had participated during the winter. He had been so small that if he hadn't had such dark fur all he would have had to do to hide was let himself sink into the snow. ( rockydublin and Spottail) Bramblepath shook his head. "Stopping the blood is the most important thing. The herbs will help, but if you don't stop the blood then they are going to die. If I had more time and no patients I would want to teach you about one or two herbs that would help, but as it stands I want to make sure that their condition doesn't worsen," he said, shifting entirely into business mode. He quickly surveyed the den to make sure there wasn't any other cats in serious condition. |

"Do you think next time it snows we can play any of the games?" asked Rabbitkit. "Or are you really sure they'd be too hard to do?" She wanted to play like the elder had played.
