Since Sorreltail’s brothers Rainwhisker and Sootfur are such background characters that we know close to nothing about them.
Come up with personalities, backstories and development for them. 😊

I think it'd be cool if one of them was noble and kind like his father Whitestorm I think Sootfur would have probably been more quiet than Rainwhisker, and he would probably have a fear or hatred of badgers, considering he saw his mother get killed by one. He'd probably have a little guilt over the fact too, since she died saving him, and maybe, during the badger attack in the second series, he threw him into the battle fearlessly, to avenge his mother, and to try and make up for what happened. However, it resulted in him being killed sadly.

I looked through their warriors wiki entries. Not much to go on for personalities, except that Sootfur seems like an annoying complainer type and Rainwhisker seems like a really dedicated warrior - he's the one insisting on freeing the cats who were captured by two legs and going out of their way to do that, shows up in a lot of patrols doing things, and even keeps being devoted to his Clan and family when he himself is injured pretty badly in the badger attack.
I wonder if Rainwhisker wanted to be deputy. The way he was really frustrated at the idea of Stormfur and Brook getting apprentices over cats who have been in the Clan their whole lives waiting for one made me think he could want an apprentice to be deputy himself.
You kind of see how the two are opposites when Sootfur is cynically remarking that Squirrelpaw and Brambleclaw were right to leave before the two legs became a threat, while Rainwhisker is righteously angry at them for leaving the Clan in their time of need, before everyone gets the whole story of why they left.
I'm now picturing Sootfur as someone who kind of hates the Clan's lifestyle of self-sacrifice because of hatred for himself - internally, he feels that he just isn't worth anyone sacrificing themselves for him, and wishes he would have died instead of his mother. He'd rather just strike out on his own and let what happens happen, and if he's too weak to survive he should just die. Ht also secretly thinks the battle with BloodClan was pointless, that they should have just left their home instead of throwing away their lives like his father did, especially when they have to leave anyway so soon afterwards. He's haunted by how his father died for nothing, just like his self-hatred makes him think his mother died for nothing too.

i always thought rainwhisker was the calmer one and sootfur would be the more spunky one, and sorreltail was the middle of both and the voice of reason who was also a bit shy sometimes.

They're complete opposites, with Rainwhisker being the calm and mature older brother and Sootfur being headstrong and reckless. Basically Leafpool and Squirrelflight gender-flipped.
