This AU has been churning in my mind for a while and I wanted to share it.
What if instead of Storm and two of her kits dying, all three kits died and Storm lived? She could have gone on to take Thunder's place in the story, but be much more interesting in my opinion because she has more personality. She would eventually go on to be one of the five founding leaders and lead ThunderClan, which would be changed to StormClan to be named after her.
I've always loved Storm and still believe she got done dirty. She deserved to play a bigger role in the story, and I find it tragic how her time was cut short, which is why I've thought of something that would do her justice.
I'm interested to hear what other people think of this idea, and what could be added to make it better.
