I thought about who could be working with Ashfur (who I really believe is the possessor cause I can't think of anyone else who would have been affectionate and clingy towards Squirrelflight) and I have an idea. One of the Sisters! She could be vengeful over being driven out by the Clans and the murder of her leader. The Sisters can speak to the dead so that's how she can communicate with Ashfur. SkyClan wasn't involved in driving out the Sisters and even took them in for a bit, so that's why there aren't any of them listed as codebreakers.
Though I'm wondering who could be causing the accidents in ShadowClan, and I don't think it could be the Sister. I don't think such a huge cat could pull them off. gasp What if ShadowClan are having accidents not only to push Shadowsight to reveal his vision, but also because they were the most adamant about driving the Sisters away? I was also thinking maybe it was the Sister who attacked Shadowsight. But I read the scene again, and it described the silhouette of the attacker as a tom, but then again, Shadowsight could be mistaken. The attacker was also described as having "large, heavy paws", which would describe the Sisters. And their eyes were "glittering with hate", which made me wonder why they would hate Shadowsight so much. Maybe because he's the son of the one who was so adamant to driving the Sisters out.
Edit: Actually, what if it could be the young tom that was living with them? (Creek, I think, according to the wiki?) He could be traumatized by that time, being as young he was, and could want revenge. The wiki describes him as long furred and well muscled, so he still grows up to be as large as his family. And having to leave the Sisters when he's older can give him the chance to return and get vengeance.

Would Sisters be described as a dark force? That's what Shadowpaw sensed in the Moonpool.
