How do you feel about her? Personally, I love Sandstorm, and I felt she got shoved way into the background post-TPB/TNP. It's a shame.

I liked her when she got older and pushed more to the background.
I didn't care for her much when she was in the foreground though.
I didn't like the scene, where Fireheart was upset about Cloudtail getting taken, and Sandstorm got upset and made it all about her.

I've always loved Sandstorm, except when she was an apprentice. Man she was a menace.

She's "okay". I didn't like her most of the first series cause she was kinda a brat. I actually preferred her more as a senior warrior or more so an elder. I liked her relationship with Alderheart, it was nice.

I've already given my opinion on her lots of times so I'll just dumb it down to I fricking love her. Best first-arc female character.

I didn't very much like Sandstorm before being with Firestar, but she definitely did change when she became his mate. She was a very heartwarming character, and it was kind of funny to see her be an apprentice in The Prophecy Begins, then be a nicer version of Mousefur in AVoS.

I feel like she became one of the backbone characters of the series... or at least of Firestar's reign.

I know y’all all like her better as a senior warrior, but I like her better when she was an apprentice. Yeah, sometimes she could be too harsh, but overall it was just jealousy and defense. She was mad when Fireheart and Graystripe became warriors before her and she over-reacted about that, but I feel she has turned into one of those softy characters. What I’m trying to say is she was a lot better off in life when she was an apprentice but now she’s too soft and nice for her own good.

How is this a bad thing, though? The entire point of Sandstorm in her younger years was that she was a bully who would eventually grow to respect and love Firestar despite his kittypet roots. I know the series (and books in general) have a problem with portraying she-cats as they were before they became mothers, but I never saw that too much with Sandstorm.

Most of her character development revolves around growing to accept/appreciate cats that have kittypet roots. I like her in Avos as an elder, she was understanding and clever and still slightly sassy, which was great, but I wouldn’t say too soft for her own good. I guess she had more personality in TPB though, bc it was Firehearts POV

I liked her after The Prophecies Begin. She was a bit annoying when she was an apprentice.

If I'm being completely honest I never paid any attention to her.Or anyone in the books except for Graystripe,Darkstripe,Cloudtail,Berrynose,Stormcloud,Hawkfrost, and Whitestorm.Don't ask why bc I haven't the slightest idea.
Although from what I did pay attention to I find her as a character that I actually cared about when they died

The amount of character development Sandstorm goes through in TPB alone makes me kind of confused about why people are acting like she was an 'annoying apprentice' that entire arc.

Eh, I think it's cause people found her more tolerable when she wasn't being a brat or goo-goo eyed for Firestar. Which is mostly what her character amounted to in the first series, and honestly I didn't find it very appealing. Later in the series, you see better traits of her character, and I find her more enjoyable with her relationship with Alderheart. Although it only lasted a couple of books, it was far more interesting to read about than her earlier appearances. At least to me, it was.
