Tait Uli Hightopp
child of the mad hatter and ursula Tait’s head turned in the general direction of Mori’s voice, a grin popping onto his face. He nodded along towards Fern’s suggestion, agreeing wholeheartedly. Not that he had anything against the friendship bracelets, no, he just happened to know Mori more than he knew the friendship bracelets. He hadn’t even met the little objects yet! If he would even meet them! After all, they were designated to be distributed towards others. Following behind Fern towards the voice of his cousin, he happily waved his hand once they came towards where she was hanging out. “Hi Mori!” Tait greeted, the grin having stuck to his face. He was tempted to bring out the device and show it off to her as well, but then again… this probably wasn’t the best time either. At least with Fern, it was more of a greeting seeing each other again… it hadn’t screamed as much business stuff.

Farris Nassir Jaohari
son of jafar and narissa Farris gave a slight smile at the excitement. "That's a lot of opportunities there," Farris agreed. Being some of the first people they see- especially with someone they might even recognize- meant they'd be more likely to be viewed as a trustworthy source. The kids would be more likely to come to them for help based off of knowing their faces first, being most familiar. Of course, it meant there was a need to keep up socializing with them, else they’d be more likely to fall off and find someone else that had remained a constant. He took a glance at Mair and Tana. He doubted that would actually be an issue. Friendliness was something that, at the very least, was easy to feign, if not actually create. Sure, Farris wasn’t necessarily going to be the best at keeping himself a constant figure, but he could show that he wasn’t a threat to them. Which all in all wasn’t that difficult to prove. He was frail, skinny, maybe not the shortest person in the room, but he wasn’t tall either. He was pale and obviously sickly in some aspects. The worst that would happen is someone would assume he was the kind of sick where it could spread to others and be cautious over that. It’d probably be fine. Following the two as they jokingly bickered over who should technically be in charge of the meet-n-greet, Farris was left hiding small snickers of amusement. As long as it wasn’t him in charge of this, he was good. Not to mention, he doubted he’d be able to takeover with Tana’s determination. Of course, then she brought up a good point as they watched from afar, the transfers splitting up. From what he could see, they were separated into three groups, four per squad. “Unfortunately, I’m doubting we’ll be able to grab all of them,” Farris mentioned. Observing the situation as much as he could, he narrowed his eyes carefully at one of the groups that had stopped. “Oh yeah, well, one group down,” he mentioned, nodding his head towards where Fausto seemed to have stopped one of the groups to talk, “Two left to choose from.” He looked to Tana, trusting in her judgement towards whichever group they should try to nab off first.

Mair Sanjaya Baron Son of Matthews and Stalyan
"Oooo, a 50/50 chance of picking the group that'll like us more!" Mair honestly didn't even try fighting Tana on who should be in charge. It was normally supposed to be him -- after all, he was one of the Quartermasters, and Ian didn't just choose him for his pretty face.
Although Mair liked to think that was one of the reasons.
But in this situation, Mair's pretty face would only be mildly useful. Of course, it would help more than being some terrifying troll, he supposed. Thank the gods that neither of his parents were, in fact, trolls. That was very possible on the Isle, but Mair dodged that bullet. Regardless, Tana's knowledge of the Auradon kids would prove to be far more useful in this scenario, seeing as she could be a welcoming, friendly face to them.
"So who will it be, Tana-banana?" Mair was always curious about bananas. Like...non-rotten ones. They sounded delightful, hence his association with the bear girl. Banana also started with B, like bear. Ergo, Tana was a banana. "See any old friends you'd like to say hi to?"

Colette "Collie" Jessamine de Vil daughter of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt
Collie took a deep breath, trying to settle her nerves. The glare she gave her younger sister was absolutely ferocious, but she did her best to not lose her absolute shit at a misplaced knife. But she couldn't just let the knife in the stairs slide, either, because misplaced or not, that wasn't okay. It could have gone a lot worse than a slight cut to Cliff's foot, and she was fully aware of that.
Hopefully, Cheri was aware of that too.
"Why was your knife stabbed into the staircase, Cheri?" It would be one thing -- an unfortunate accident -- if the knife had fallen out of her sister's sheath and she hadn't noticed and left it laying on the steps. It was an absolutely different story when it had been forcefully stabbed into the steps like some kind of wooden murder victim. Was it still probably intended to be harmless? Probably, yes.
Was it actually harmless?
Clearly not.
But Cheri was being given an opportunity to explain herself, and maybe this would make a rational amount of sense (or at least as much sense as a knife in the stairs could make, really) after this opportunity. And the logic of this reason would probably affect how much trouble her little sister was in.
So she'd better get talking.
Transfers briefly out of her mind in favor of her bleeding brother, nervous sister, and the current knife in the stairs, the oldest sister waited for light to be shed on the situation.

Kentucky Roan Slim Son of Alameda Slim and Katherine Barlow
Kenny knew there was a line and he knew exactly where that line was. Unfortunately, this little idiot cowboy likes to push the line, especially where his siblings were involved. He would push just enough to annoy, but make sure he didn't cause any serious harm. Luckily, he also knew that there were times when he should stay far, far away from that line and this was one of those times... Especially when Montana's broom could be used as a weapon. He didn't think his fellow triplet would hurt him, but he didn't want to push Montana to a point where the older boy was freaking out more than he currently was.
He caught the mop tossed his way with one hand and nodded. "You got it, boss," he said. When it came to others, Kenny liked to be in charge. When it came to his siblings, he was perfectly happy to let Junior or Montana or Homie take charge. Tonight was Montana's night and Kenny wasn't surprised. Collie had some big orders for the cowboy trio - mainly Montana - to fill.
"Dude, you can focus on the cooking and preparing food," Kenny said, not even looking up from where he was mopping. "I'm sure Clara's willing to help if Collie can spare one of her sisters. I'd help, but... well, Clara is better at cooking. Me and Homie can clean, and I can call in some of my guys to help with the cleaning if needed. I've just got one manning the desk tonight and one on cleaning duty. I'm sure Homie could spare some too...?" he glanced over at his sister as he spoke, hoping she would. He didn't actually care if Montana didn't want to do stuff this way. He was just offering up suggestions that would hopefully allow his brother to chill out.
Which, he had almost confronted Montana with the mop in his hands and told his brother to chill out. He still wanted to, as it looked like Montana would explode any second. It was a gamble, however, and not one Kenny was willing to take right now. Sometimes people needed to be sat down and sternly told to chill. Sometimes it would just upset them further. Kenny couldn't risk that. Hopefully if Montana just focused on cooking - possibly with Clara so he didn't have to do it all one his own - he would calm down. Cleaning was easy. Even Kenny was competent enough at that that he and Homie could get it done with little input from the third slimlet.

Edelweiss "Del" Hilda Grimhilde daughter of the Evil Queen and the Huntsman
"Mor- oh, everyone's here." When Del had heard Mori speaking, this wasn't entirely what she had expected. Well, it wasn't out of place to expect Fern and Tait to be here at school, obviously. It was where coven things went down, after all. But not right at this second, so clearly something important was about to go down. She could rub her victory in Mori's face later, since she wasn't about to push a petty fight in front of Fern.
God, she didn't want to wear the Get Along shirt.
She doubted Mori would push the fight right now, either, since no one wanted to face Fern's motherly wrath in the name of unity. Mori liked being proven right -- which Del obviously could relate to, proven by the paper in her jacket pocket -- but not at the cost of Fern's parenting methods. "What's actually going on? Did something happen?" Didn't look like anyone was upset or anything, so that was clearly a good sign. Tait hardly ever seemed perturbed by anything, and Mori had one hell of a poker face unless she was angry, but she could read Fern like a book, and right now, their leader looked happy enough. As happy as...one could honestly get being imprisoned on an island and raised on abuse and trash, she supposed.

Bonbob Shimmwyn Cometir Malarkey Son of Swizzle and Crumbelina
Shimmy was a fighter. It was just an activity he enjoyed, along with dancing and racing. In fact, he was surprised he'd never tried to challenge the rest of the transfers to a fight in his years at Auradon.
He didn't jump at the arrival of the new kid. Instead, he just turned and looked up at him, well aware that the new guy was much taller than him. Or would Shimmy be technically considered the new guy? Well, Shimmy and Raf and Billy and Kassi were the new guys, he supposed. This was this guy's home.
"Fausto, huh? Interesting name. My name is Bonbob Shimmwyn Cometir Malarkey. Son of Swizzle "The Swizz" Malarkey and Crumbelina di Carmello, and Sugar Rush racer of the caramel apple," he introduced himself, unsure of how much of that Fausto actually understood. It had sounded as if they didn't have video games here, which was OUTRAGEOUS. But still. Ralph was here, wasn't he? Vanellope had told them all about her friend and he assumed Ralph had told all the other 'villains' about his game.
He barely seemed to notice Raf, but when he did, he frowned. "Small, but mighty, as with the rest of Sugar Sins. And I don't know if you heard my comment about intimidation, but I will fight if necessary. I'm not gonna start anything 'cause I have a feeling I would get in trouble, but we protect our own over on Auradon."
He had never actually interacted with Raf before today, but he would still fight if the bigger boy felt threatened. Even if they weren't friends they had to have each other's backs in a world like this.

Fausto Alain Facilier Son of Dr. Facilier and Mademoiselle Charlotte
Fausto hadn't followed...literally any of that. Whoops.
"That's quite a tall name for such a short fellow!" He replied brightly, regardless. He wasn't actually intimidated by...whatever his name was, so he didn't even pretend like he was. He shot a smile at the much smaller boy, then, continuing to answer his...quite unnecessary challenge to fight. "Now y'all don't need to worry about that, now. I don't fancy myself as much of a fighter, really, more of a knower. And as a knower, I know good and well that fighting would make me a fool, since, you know. Dead princes mean dead prisoners." The shadow man laughed in spite of this grave existential statement, and went on with the conversation.
"Now who do y'all want to see first? Any specific order, or?" Seeing as this was a group of children, Fausto was surprised that they wanted to see Scar, of all leaders. Sure, it could be assumed that he led the adults -- or the older adults, anyway -- but that didn't seem like the right choice for which leader to see. "...and out of all the top dog folks on the Isle, why Scar, if y'all care to explain? He isn't too good with company, and I doubt he'll be too happy to see the likes of you."

MONTANA LOVE SLIM son of katherine barlow and alameda slim
At Homie's answer, Montana nodded in thanks. He didn't remark on her attempt to calm him down. It wasn't going to work. He was certified Stressed. "Can you start in on dishes? Just, making sure we have enough plates ready. Obviously set aside the best ones for the transfers."
Stupid judgey Auradon kids. If one of them said a bad word about his restaurant, Montana would blow a gasket. It would help absolutely no one, and wreck Collie's plan, but Montana couldn't just sit back and let someone trash his baby like this.
And yes, Big Fork was his baby.
At Kenny's unhelpful remarks, Montana got irrationally angry. "I already have people helping. Or do you not trust my judgement calls now? I know what I'm doing, I just need the time, of which we have very little!" Plus, he really didn't need Clara seeing him overreact like this. Especially when her sister's plan was the cause of it. Which, he knew he was overreacting but he couldn't stop himself.
He couldn't see how this could possibly work, but he had already committed to Collie that he could do it. "But sure, Kenny, call your people, and next time something insane like this happens again, we can throw it at your place of business and they can utterly wreck you next time. So can you, for the love of—"
"Montana! I need help in the kitchen! I think I didn't chop enough tomatoes!" A voice from the back called, in poorly disguised panic. Then it sounded like multiple dishes falling, and a loud shriek followed soon after. Montana was horrified.
The oldest triplet dropped the broom, which made a fairly loud clattering sound itself, and he rushed into the kitchen, "Aria! Out! Now! Finish sweeping!"
The young Goddess came out of the back, smiling happily, "You're both welcome. Sari will be back soon and hopefully some of her sugary treats will help his attitude." She picked up the broom that Montana had left on the floor and started sweeping without a care in the world.

Moriena “Mori” Blackbeard daughter of morgana and captain blackbeard
"Fern!" Mori flipped around, and it was obvious that this wasn't going to be good news. All in all, Mori didn't actually want to tell her leader what she had heard. She would like to go back to living in a fairly oblivious state without any actual knowledge of what was currently going on in gang dramatics. Unfortunately, she was the idiot one who got in close with the Crew and usually knew everything, because Ian always needed to know everything.
She smiled at Tait, addressing him first, "Hi Tait!" She waved, as an extra measure. It was her cousin! Of course she would acknowledge his presence. She did not, however, address Del. She was still mad, and she had other things to say than to be polite to someone she was still mad at. Hopefully, Fern wouldn't notice. It wasn't like she was being super obvious about it, she didn't avoid looking at the other girl or anything. She just had more pressing matters than greeting her.
"I was just in Tortuga, well, specifically, Ian's ship. Anyways, it doesn't matter." She took a breath so that she didn't run out of oxygen, "Mair got info from the Goblins, and they told him that we were getting five of the new transfers. Dragon Hall has four, and Serpent Prep only has three." She still didn't understand why the numbers were so uneven, why Serpent Prep didn't take one of the Witch School kids so that it was fully even. Then again, there was no reason for the kids to be here anyways. She couldn't exactly explain their logic.
Mori had a fairly concerning smile when she ended her little rant with, "We're going to be overrun with these parasites." This is where she did actually look at her best friend, because Del would be the one to know how she was feeling and like, relate to it.

Oklahoma "Homie" Tulsa Slim Daughter of Alameda Slim and Kate Barlow
"You and Sari are blessings, the both of you. If he'd kept on, I woulda knocked him out myself." She didn't sound particularly angry, and kept on at her task. She knew Montana didnt mean to be all...mean about it. He was under a lot of stress, between the transfers themselves and the expectations for the entire plan. She had no idea why they were going out of their way to welcome them, anyway. It wasn't like any of them wanted the transfers and their delightful company around them. It probably wasn't even like the transfers wanted to be here. You didn't ignore an entire civilization for 20 years and suddenly want to bury the hatchet.
But she wasn't about to question either of them -- Collie or Montana. That was looking to get her head bitten off on either count, and she didn't need those kinds of negative vibes in her life. Instead she gave her other triplet a comforting pat on the shoulder. "You know he doesn't mean to get himself all twisted up like that, Kenny. You good?" She had to check in with her younger brother. As capable as he was, he might have taken this harshly, and she wanted to avoid that.

Shamakani Zubayda Oyekan daughter of Zira and Scar
"Well well, boys. Look who didn't take our advice, last week." Nodding her head towards the intruder in question, it wasn't hard to see who she meant. He was still off in the distance, but Shamakani felt that it was impossibly easy to tell the human cub from anyone that lived out here naturally. Blundering, clumsy, and not cut out for this. No clue what he was even doing.
They were doing a favor, trying to push him out like this. The Outlands were no place for a human, and he was just kidding himself otherwise. Even worse, Jace and Nanji were encouraging this delusion, which she had some other harsh words about.
Turning to her brother, her nephew, and one of their friends, she rolled her eyes before continuing the conversation, "Should we swing by with another friendly warning before he hurts himself this time?" Because she'd gladly knock him around a bit to make sure he learned his lesson. And she knew that her family and their friend shared the same view.

LEKAN NIETI OYEKAN son of lioness and nuka
Lekan grinned predatorily, "Did you really think he was smart enough to learn his lesson?" Had they really expected it to work last time? The kid was either extremely stupid or weirdly brave. That meant a lot, coming from a teenager with a sophomore education level. Either way, Lekan didn't care. It would be fun to ruin the other kid's day.
It's not like he could boss Shamakani or Shaka around. They would laugh him out of the Outlands. This was his home, and what they said was law. Well, what Jace said was law, but he didn't like listening to Jace. He could at least stand Shamakani's orders. Less so Shaka's, but the kid was also his age. It would feel weird listening to him.
"Do you even need to ask?" Lekan questioned before slinking off to one side, to box in the approaching human. The fact that he had to deal with them in general, especially back in Tortuga, was bad enough. But to have one come to his family lands? No, that would not do. They didn't get to invade every part of this island.

Alicio Bleu Arthur Bacon Bête
son of belle and beast Finding a place to live didn’t seem that bad. That was, until all of the reasons why it would be far more difficult came up. He supposed they wouldn’t be keeping track of open properties here, huh? It would have made a lot of things easier, but Alicio supposed things weren’t easy here. Much less for them of all things. He’d be a little surprised if anyone here actually wanted to help them. Following along, once Eddie suggested something of asking people, Alicio shot out into a grin, “We could ask the first trustworthy-looking person we find!” he offered. And then he paused, a quick frown on his face as he realized. Correcting his statement, he spoke again, “We could ask the first person we find!”
It wasn’t that he doubted there was trustworthy people on the Isle, but he felt as though trying to find one of them might be a bit difficult. Maybe. Alicio was coming into this with an open mind and it was closed minded to assume that everyone here would be a bad person. Sure, if one believes in the nurture more than nature, it might seem likely that the kids they’d meet would have questionable morals, but even then, it was up to fate to really help decide that. Point he was trying to make was that asking someone was probably the best idea, as people suggested. It worked nicely and they could hope they weren’t be tricked into something bad. God this was far too optimistic.

Clifford "Cliff" Jonathan de Vil son of cruella de vil and jean-pierre la pelt
The oldest de Vil triplet finally took the knife from her brother, putting it back in its place. Cheri was still quaking in her boots when she refused to even look at to her older sister. Cliff could tell that she didn't want to explain, in fear of more trouble. If the younger girl even found her voice, Cliff assumed that the only thing that could come from her mount was complete gibberish. This wasn't meant to sound insulting, but Cheri really did look that out of it. Cliff wasn't able to explain exactly why the children decided to do this, today of all days, but he wasn't about to let added stress pile on top of Collie.
One quick look at Collie's face told him that wasn't about to fly. Cheri was screwed. He cleared his throat and caught his little sister's eyes, "Explain what you were doing earlier."
"I cut myself while I was playing with my knife earlier and then I screamed and I fainted and then Catlee screamed and Charlotte thought I was dead and then I was a zombie??" Cheri took a breath, which Cliff was thankful for since it looked like she was about to cry or faint for the second time today, apparently. The again, this was Cheri and she didn't cry much. "But No Magic, so of course I can't be a zombie and," She held up her hand, showing off the small bandage, "It's not like something so small could kill me anyways, you know?! But then I said—"
She paused before daring to look up at Collie for a split second before cringing, which Cliff took as a very bad sign. "—Well I said that there was no way that you would notice, because you're not around anymore and even when you are around it's not like you're around. But you didn't notice it, Cliff didn't even notice it so it's not like I was wrong!" Cliff cringed again, because that was the wrong thing to say. She was just a child, so she didn't know any better, but that was definitely the wrong thing to release during her word vomit.
Cliff cleared his throat, "Done?" He asked, for confirmation. He didn't want to interrupt her, but she had taken a longer pause then she had during her entire rant. Cheri nodded, going back to looking at the floor instead of her oldest siblings. She really did not want to be in trouble, and she was obviously going to burn for this. She hurt Cliff, and that was a huge mistake. Cliff looked to Collie before continuing, because this was going to be her thing way more than his. Even though he was the one who was hurt.

Colette "Collie" Jessamine de Vil daughter of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt
"Well thank God for that, at least you weren't wrong!" That was sarcasm, and bad news. Her expression didn't change much, a small raise of the brow added to her fierce stare down, so she was blatantly unamused by the situation. She couldn't believe this was happening right now. Usually, the girls were a little more responsible than this, and the second Collie's attention was fixed onto something else, it all went to anarchy.
Had she been around a lot less? Yes, obviously. But that wasn't the point here, really, when there were a lot of urgent things to be focusing on. The triplets -- Cheri included -- were still young, but it wasn't like they were at the age where Collie felt she needed to constantly be there to make sure things that should get done were done. The fact that the girls couldn't even understand why she was so preoccupied right now infuriated the oldest sister.
Beagle Boys still wandering Southwark.
New kids from Auradon with shady motives had just been thrown into the mix.
The ever present problem of making sure they were safe and cared for.
I'm trying to protect you!
Instead of saying this out loud, though, she continued scolding. "Right now, we have issues that need my attention, Cheri -- the transfers and whatever the hell they want, making sure those mutts back away from the mafia, and now, apparently, watching the floor for knives before your brother gets hurt again." The blonde took a breath, trying and failing to calm herself down. This was absolutely ridiculous. "But Christ on a stick, I guess you're right, because I didn't notice a knife on the steps." Who even looked for knives on staircases? Collie could count thr times on one hand, this being it, that she had.

Bellamy Acadia Blanche Bete
daughter of belle and zuzo Come in peace. If the entire start of this conversation was an indicator of anything, one might scoff at that. She wanted to scoff at that. By all accounts, sure, they did technically come in peace. Or were trying to. This particular group was not good at it- no, no, distract your mind from that train of thought now. Worrying about the other groups and whether or not they kept the idea of peace present was not a good idea. Especially not when she would consider that some people might be a bit more aggressive. Mmmmmmm. Not a good thought process at all. Her focus returned when Fausto spoke. “Conditional?” Perhaps she didn’t understand properly, but leaders weren’t often conditional. In reference to Scar being the king under Auradon’s standards yet not that many here agreed? Was there a change in leaders that they had never been informed of? A conditional question. That didn’t make sense. “We would be grateful if you could lead us to them,” Billy agreed carefully. She didn’t entirely trust him not to lead them to a trap. She was deeply concerned for Raf as well given how he had frozen up. Some part of her told her to take a moment to be human, to care, and to make sure he was alright but- this was something that she had to tread carefully around. Moving towards him a little more, she tried to quietly ask him, “Would you prefer to go and join a different group while you can? I’m sure Maggie could use your help exploring the town.”She regretted turning away the second she turned back however. Shimmy was- oh boy, he was being Shimmy. She wanted to dig herself a grave and bury her inside. Why? She was ready to intervene and tell Fausto that they were not looking for a fight, no matter what Shimmy might try to start. Did Shimmy not understand that though he could fight people on Auradon and come out the winner, some of these kids may have killed people? Her attention was shifted towards Fausto too soon though. She could only stare at him, wide eyes and slightly afraid of what could happen now. Did- Did he just make fun of the candy child’s height? “He’s not going to start anything,” Billy confirmed, snapping her gaze towards Shimmy in a glare. He absolutely would get in trouble. She might need to create a time-out corner in whatever structure Komboa deemed livable enough in. Anyone who started any fights would have to go and sit in there until they learned their lesson. For all Billy knew, everyone would end up there and the trip could be spent in blissful silence until they could all leave. “A knower, huh?” Billy murmured as Fausto continued. That would explain the lack of aggressiveness in a fight. It didn’t ease her anxiety over the idea there could be a trap in their future, but he made a comment that was more likely to reassure immediate death wasn’t a goal. Albeit, “Dead princes mean dead prisoners,” wasn’t a reassuring phrase. It implied negative feelings that weren’t being acted on for a reason. It wasn’t possible they already knew why the transfers were there. They barely got there and hadn’t directly discussed it on the boat. They hadn’t crossed the barrier and talked about it yet. A knower, huh? Billy already hated the idea of it. They’d have to be constantly vigilante wherever they met up for safety or whenever they met up in their temporary home. To be on watch that that no one was listening in to further their ‘knower-ledge.’ Topic for a later discussion. Who they wanted to see first? “Scar.” Scar, then Yen Sid. She didn’t trust Scar to not be like Beast- to not be okay with the idea that a group of new people on the Isle would go to greet someone before them. Splitting up the groups was already a dangerous consideration there. It was acting as though they own the place already. She wasn’t willing to continue to push boundaries there. “My father,” Billy did her best not to spit the word in such a public place, ”Has been in contact with Scar to inform him of our eventual arrival. It’s… a request the king has, to greet the leaders of the Isle.” A matter of respect, politics, and diplomacy. She hated it. And then her mind passed to the idea Beast might know Scar didn’t appreciate company. That Scar might even attack if worst comes to worst- Dammit. She really hated this game.

Kassarna "Kassi" Wendolyn Robinson Daughter of Karmi and Wilbur Robinson
Kassi had mostly stayed quiet during this encounter. She didn't really have much to add, besides a quiet, sympathetic pat on Raf's arm. She had no idea why he was so uncomfortable, she didn't know the guy like that. But clearly he was upset, Billy had just said as much. As to why this Fausto guy made him so uncomfortable, she couldn't puzzle that out. She wasn't familiar with some fairy tales, and the shadow boy himself didn't look too scary. Like sure he was tall, but he was kind of...bean-poley. Not threatening at all, even to her, and she was small herself.
It was when the "conditional" king of the Isle was brought up when she spoke up again.
"There're other ones too, right? Momo's talked about them." The intimidating mob boss had babysat her a couple of times over the years, and Kassi had asked her about her old life on the Isle, and vague memories had popped up. "Scar's in charge of the adults, yeah, but there are some kids in charge too -- on the same level as the grown ups." Kassi looked at their impromptu tour guide for confirmation, and while he hadn't yet said anything to confirm or deny her claims, the smile on his face implied she'd sort of gotten it right.
"Right you are! I'll let y'all get settled before I take you to Scar -- if you're not up to it, you can take a minute to go to another group." A bright smile was thrown towards Raf specifically.

son of Snow White and Prince Charming
Mac was lost in his own mind as he started out at this strange new land, blue eyes glossy and his jaw slightly slack. All of the stories he'd ever heard about the Isle, the chilling bedtime tales, warnings of what happened to bad little boys who didn't finish their vegetables, reminders of how easily evil influence could spread, they were all true - and the byproduct was a melancholy sort of beauty that simultaneously chilled and enthralled him. There was no doubt a certain sort of sorrow that filled his chest as Mac observed his surroundings, a sense of guilt that he felt simply for having the good fortune to be born with the last name Charming, but outweighing both the sorrow and the guilt was awe at the resilience of the people here and the ingenious way in which they'd learned to adapt after their exile from Auradon. He'd barely even seen anything yet, just the docks that they'd arrived on, and yet he found himself caught in the Isle's trance.
The sound of his name piqued the boy's attention. Turning back towards the group that he'd left, Mac was surprised to see that their numbers were already dwindling. How long had he been out of it? A complex being, Mac would like to have said that he was equal parts dreamer and realist, but the truth was that his flighty side often got the better of him. A product of an overactive imagination maybe, a result of spending the majority of his time with only the birds for company. Maybe he'd just been hit a few too many times with the stupid stick - it was a tossup. Either way, he was alert now, and it only took a few moments for Mac to rejoin his posse. The Charming boy was, essentially, a friend to all; maybe not intimately, but he knew names and faces. He tried to remember things about people, did what he could to keep everyone he came in contact with comfortable. He liked being that guy - who wouldn't?
"What's up, boss lady?" Asked the raven-haired boy eagerly, ready to take the next step. Exploration, adventure, excitement. All things that he longed for, but never really found much opportunity for back home. The Isle was sort of like a fresh start, in a way. First impressions were important, and Mac was determined to make as many good impressions as he could.

Margaret "Maggie" Gordonia DunBroch daughter of Merida and Young MacGuffin
Once the rest of her little team had gathered, Maggie immediately started walking towards the town, gesturing for them to follow her. There was no point standing around and going over the mission, they all seemed...relatively capable, after all. She didn't know much of anything about them, to be fair. She probably knew the most about Mac, but even that was just sort of in the general "we're both royalty and I've encountered your name and some rumors before", and that wasn't much to really go off of. Rumors could be wrong, she'd never really had a lot of one on one interaction with him. Everything -- and everyone else -- was just sort of a blank here. But they were probably good people, offering to go on this trip. And they probably thought themselves capable enough to pull it off, because no one signed up to fail a mission, right?
She wouldn't baby them by spoon-feeding things to them in the safety of the boat.
"Awright, you three. We're here tae make friends, get the lay of the Isle, a'right?" To be entirely fair, their mission was self explanatory, and sort of common sense. They needed to know the Isle, both personally and with locations. They were going to live here, and try to redeem the kids here. That was...that was kind of necessary to their overall goal.
You couldn't accomplish the goal by hiding in a hut and only talking to one another.
"Billy's got us lookin' at three things -- making friends, lookin' for escape routes and evacuation areas in case a' emergencies, an' trying to locate anything else useful, got it?" Granted, Maggie's first assumption in regards to evacuation would be the docks. They were fairly open, and literally the only escape from the Isle of the Lost. If shit hit the fan -- she was solidly confident that she could handle this mission, though -- then that was really their only real escape.
Glancing back to her team, though, she needed to confirm this, now that they were actually in the city. Ruined buildings loomed on both sides, flimsy and smoke stained, with broken windows and rotten wood. "Any of you lot 'ave any questions?"

Raffaello "Raf" Maldonia son of tiana and naveen
At Billy's question, he took a calming breathe and shook his head. He smiled, barely, but was trying to put on a brave face. "It's okay, Bete. I've got this." He also didn't want to leave them with Facilier. He didn't trust the kid at all. Someone needed to be fully on their guard, and it was going to be him. He turned back towards the conversation and grimaced when he realized what was happening at the same time Billy did. With Kassi's reassurance, he gave her a slight smile of thanks but didn't say anything.
Raf decided that Shimmy was a true homie. Not only did the little dude not question his presence behind him, but the kid was actively talking about fighting the Facilier kid. Raf was going to give Shimmy some of his mom's food. He earned it, and Raf had a legitimate suitcase full of it. He could share with the small tiny gaming kid trying to keep him safe. If he had more pride, Raf would try to act tough, but again, this was Doctor Facilier's probable son! Raf wasn't about to let his pride overtake his safety. His mother would bring him back to life just to kill him for his own stupidity herself.
Then Facilier made fun of Shimmy's height and Raf stood up taller, starting to glare. It didn't do much, considering he was obviously shorter than Fausto, but he was taller than Shimmy so the kid wasn't completely alone in this. Besides, this little dude decided to protect him without hesitation. He wasn't going to let some bully sit back and crack jokes at his height.
Billy obviously wasn't happy at the interaction, nor about the threats to fight, but they would do what was necessary. The Isle boy had mentioned that he didn't want to kill any princes, so that meant Raf was safe, but not all of the people here were princes. Eddie wasn't a prince, neither was Shimmy. No one got to hurt them. Raf crossed his arms. It wasn't his most intimidating pose, but it would do the job.
This is why Raf was here in the first place, to be an extra body for appearance's sake. At least Facilie seemed to know better than they did, considering he was questioning their ideas. If it meant that they didn't waste time on people no longer in power, Raf was here for it. Even if the information did come from a scheming shadow-creature. Seriously, why was no one talking about how creepy this kid was? Raf couldn't really explain it, but he was getting bad vibes.
The Princess was obviously sticking to her decision, but Raf wasn't sold on it. Facilier could be playing them, but he also knew the politics here more than anyone on Auradon. Raf turned, looking towards the other groups and a smile grew. "Tana?" He said quietly, more to himself than anyone else. At least one group would have a trustworthy advisor. Well, so long as she didn't go to a group with a Bete in it.
When Kassi spoke up, Raf came back to the conversation. He was happy that someone had insider information about the Isle that he could trust. It was clear that there were other power dynamics at play, which means Facilier hadn't omitted anything about that, at the very least. Well, he hadn't so far. When the other man made it clear he had heard Billy's offer, Raf gave him a predatory grin, "I'm fine where I am." He refused to let Facilier hurt these people.

Clifford "Cliff" Jonathan de Vil son of cruella de vil and jean-pierre la pelt
Cheri's fist balled up and it was obvious to Cliff that she was about to lose her cool. He sighed, leaning back on the stairs and looking towards his twin. "Later, when you regret starting this fight, remember that I tried to stop it." His words made Cheri pause, but it was clear that he was talking to Collie and not her, so she went back to being angry.
"Yes, at least I wasn't wrong!" She started out, because apparently her rightness was important to the context of the argument. Cliff couldn't say he disagreed with her, but he also wasn't one of the kids feeling ignored. "Think of what you just did, Collie. Think of your priorities. I just told you that I cut myself and fainted. What did you do? Stood their defending your position on why it was okay for you to be ignoring us." Once again, Cliff ceded to her points. Cheri wasn't wrong. That was an important point. The child was fine, she was bandaged and had just tried to climb out a window, so Cliff wasn't too worried, but it was an important point.
The little girl's eyes narrowed and Cliff knew it was about to get worse. He buried his head in his lap. "Please stop fighting," He spoke into his legs, groaning. He didn't want Collie to stress out even more. It was bad enough, with the adults and the transfers, but now she had to deal with the kids too. That's why he stayed home, to deal with the kids. Apparently he was not doing a good enough job.
Of course, because Cheri didn't listen to anyone, she was not going to stop fighting. "We are your family. We are important too. You can stand there and talk about the adults and new strangers, but even when you're at home, you're not you!" Cheri was probably thinking about softball, if Cliff knew her as well as he thought he did. She just wasn't going to mention that exact topic because it made her argument weaker. Cheri spoke softer now, looking at the ground, "I know you're not our mother, but you can't give up the position that you created for yourself."
Cliff, deciding to stay being unhelpful, looked up from his lap and said, "You should be a lawyer, little wolf." She wouldn't have the ability to, considering her love for knives and violence, but she really did have good argumentative skills. Cheri just rolled his eyes. And, in a preemptive attempt to keep Collie from being angry with him now, he looked guilty and commented, "What? She's very good at arguing."

Silvanus Django Grey
son of djali and sasha Make friends and explore. That was a nice, simple task all and all. But Silver had to say, there was no way that the other teams would have created nearly as much as a surge of glee than this did. Making friends. Literally his own little personal purpose for being here. Talk to people, figure them out, find reliable people that could lend them a hand. Maybe not too much of a hand, but something to get them started and on their feet here. Continue on with their stay as they kept up to date with the people here. Genuinely, what could be better than doing this. Silver loved making friends! He was hoping the kids here were just as open to friendship as he was. “No questions here, miss,” Silver replied with a lazy grin, rocking on his heels as he kept up with the group. Exploring the city. It already looked to be an interesting place. Kinda dreary, but in all fairness he blamed the weather and an unfortunate lack of paint here. Sure, broken boards and crumbling concrete wasn’t exactly something that scream happy-world, but Silver found the kind of thing endearing. He really was most willing to blame the weather. It was like when Beast created this place, he told Fairy Godmother to block out the sun and sky with storm clouds a plenty. Which was a massive shame. He could think of like five people he knew at least that would easily fall depressed staying here just because of that. Then there was the matter of it feeling like it could rain at any moment- the smell was in the air and it was prepared to come back. It really said something about the way these kids were living. The broken boards and crumbling concrete he initially found endearing was sort of crushed as he realized these kids likely had to deal with damp rooms and soggy interiors. Not fun. But he was curious and excited for whomever they stumbled across first. Or whoever found them first.

Kentucky Roan Slim Son of Alameda Slim and Katherine Barlow
Kenny stayed quiet as Montana went on and on. He had only been trying to help. And personally, he wouldn't mind if Montana or Homie tried to give suggestions if something was happening at his place. Plus he'd never seen Clara freaking out this badly, so he had hoped that bringing her in would have a calming effect on his overreacting brother.
When Montana and Aria switched places, Kenny grinned. "You're a lifesaver," he said. He was shaken by Montana's reaction, but he didn't let it show as his gaze traveled from Aria to Homie. "Yeah, I'm good. I get his stress - I do, but that dude needs to chill," he said, keeping his voice low enough that it wouldn't travel to the kitchen.
"So whaddya guys think about this whole transfer thing?" he asked. He had continued his mopping as he spoke to his sister and girlfriend. He... wasn't sure what to think. He knew he wasn't excited and he certainly didn't trust them, but he wasn't about to... close himself off, he supposed.
The transfers could be his ticket out of here. And if it wasn't his ticket out of here, it was a way for him to at least guarantee a better future for his siblings and the people he cared about. Kenny knew he wasn't the family's sole provider. They all worked hard - especially Junior and Montana - But he wasn't going to let the transfers just come and go without securing something for his family. They were good people that deserved better than what the Isle offered.
Even if it meant sacrificing himself or something he cared about.

ARIA ISMINI OLYMPIA daughter of persephone and hades
Aria nodded at Homie with a smile, happy to help. She had been around Montana since he had gotten back from the meeting in the panic. He had been like this the entire time, and she didn't think it was fair for him to treat his fellow triplets like this just because he was worried about the transfers. Their opinion didn't matter, and it was upsetting to see Montana freaking out so much.
Besides which, she didn't like seeing him yell at Kenny.
The young goddess looked towards the kitchen and sighed. She didn't want to see Montana so stressed out, and it was harming his relationship with his family. If this was the kind of reaction the transfers caused from her boss, she didn't want any part of them. "He's letting a fear of judgement get him twisted into a thousand knots." She shook her head, just glad he got to go chill out in the kitchen without any others around. It was his happy place, so he should be able to destress and come out normal after cooking.
At least, that's what Aria was hoping for.
She put down the broom and crossed her arms, "I don't trust them. I can't find it in my heart to trust them. They're not here for some spectacular adventure. No one visits the landfill for fun, Kenny." Aria's voice was stable, but sad. She didn't like trashing her home like that, but it was the truth. No one on the Isle could deny how far deep into poverty they all were. Southwark was lucky, to have the Slims.
"But I also can't mark them as evil. They're kids, just like us. They have no choice in what Beast wants." Aria bit her lip, moving her gaze to Kenny. She straightened her posture, letting her confidence grow as she spoke as not to sound so emotional about the topic at hand. "I want to hope for the best but prepare for the worst."
Which was also why she was glad that Sari was coming with treats. Montana usually didn't partake since he wanted the fruits to go to kids who needed food, so getting a cupcake shoved into his mouth was the perfect way to distract him from the possible judgement coming from the Auradon kids.

Oklahoma "Homie" Tulsa Slim Daughter of Alameda Slim and Kate Barlow
"I'll trust this whole situation when Punkie sprouts wings and starts flying." That was, to say, never. Not only would her little piglet grow wings in a natural sort of way, but she'd never let her be subjected to that side of magic, either. The Isle would break out in sunshine and pretty flowers before she put any faith in Auradon and their kindness.
The whole thing just reeked, to her. Beast would never send over these kids to actually offer any sort of help, and while they didn't sound like the harmful type, it didn't mean they weren't. It had been less than a day since their arrival, and no one knew anything about the entire posse of princes and princesses. "They aren't here to help -- but I'm assuming if we don't help them, we're gonna be in a world of hurt worse than if we had helped them." She pointed out, both to her brother and his girlfriend. They'd understand her reasoning, she thought. Homie scrubbed more roughly at the tabletop at the thought, her eyebrows creasing in thought.
"If we could just figure out what they want, though! I mean, I assume that's the thought in Collie and Montana's head with this whole mess, but I wish there was a way to do it with less boot licking."

Bonbob Shimmwyn Cometir Malarkey Son of Swizzle and Crumbelina
Shimmy was proud of Raf for standing his ground. He was more focused on that situation than whatever Billy and Kassi and Fausto were discussing. Yeah, sure, their mission to find the leader of the Isle was important. Shimmy would admit to that, but Raf's safety and comfort was just as important! Maybe it was the fact that the Sugar Rush kids were literally a pack of semi feral six year olds with a, well, sugar rush, but Shimmy had grown up in a place where they valued each other's safety and comfort.
He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes at Fausto's remark about his height, but it wasn't the most intimidating look. He was short, had a rounded baby-like face, next to no muscle, and his whole appearance was themed around caramel apples from his eyes (one green and one brown) to his clothes (brown shirt and green pants).
"Well, Mr. Bigtalk, I'll have you know that I am not a prince. I wasn't taught to be polite and have manners. I was taught to avoid the filters and censorship of an E rated game. I can and will fight." He moved in closer - as close as he safely could - "And a little brown and green demon will haunt your nightmares for the rest of your life."
He resisted the urge to punch this kid because they hadn't even been off the boat for an hour, and Shimmy kinda wanted to stay on Billy's good side. "And even more importantly, I'll have you know that I am considered tall where I come from. Me, Honeste, and Creameo are the tallest of the game besides Peppevieve and Bellonso." He knew the names would mean nothing to this kid, but maybe the odd names would confuse him. Honestly, he didn't even know if Raf and Billy knew who Honeste, Creameo, Peppevieve, and Bellonso were. Kassi might because of where she came from, but mostly they were just known as "those half feral video game kids" instead of their actual names.
He knew he was out of line right now, but he had justifications. There was Raf. There was his height. When you were as small and unintimidating as he was, your actions and words needed to make up for it. He would just... make up for it by not threatening to fight Scar.
He had a feeling that was one fight he wouldn't win.

Kentucky Roan Slim Son of Alameda Slim and Katherine Barlow
Kenny bit his lip a little bit, clearly deep in thought for a moment - which was rare for the cowboy. He was much more of an "act now, deal with the consequences later" kinda guy, but it was nice to see that Aria and Homie shared his thoughts on the transfers. He glanced at the kitchen, wondering what Montana's thoughts were - besides the stress of trying to feed all of them. Especially when it was difficult enough already to feed the kids that called this trash heap a home.
"I wonder..." he trailed off for a moment. He made a move to sit on the counter, but changed his mind at the last second and sorta half stumbled before regaining his footing. He didn't want Montana to peel out and check on them just to see Kenny sitting on his butt. He began to mop again. Well, half mop and half standing in one place and moving the mop over the same few inches of floor.
He started again. "I wonder... what if we offer the B&B for them to stay at? Business has been slow lately anyway. It would look good for the Isle kids in general but especially for the mafia if we tried to feed and house them. Plus, that way, we can keep an eye on them. I'm not saying spy. I'm sure they're smart enough to pick up on spying. But me and my guys are around there almost all the time, so anything suspicious would be noticed by one of us. And - if these kids actually have some manners - they might offer to pay at least a little bit for their rooms. And that's more money coming to us."
It seemed like a good idea. He knew there were flaws and that it would have to be brought up to both Montana and Collie before offering it to the transfers, but it was the first semi decent idea Kenny had had in a week, so he wasn't gonna shoot it down without at least mentioning it to Aria and Homie. Hopefully they'd be a bit softer about shooting it down than Collie or Montana if it ended up being a dumb idea.

Hanako Vanilla Hamada Daughter of Hiro & Vanellope
Hana wasn't the best at making friends. She was quieter than most of her Sugar Rush companions, but she wasn't... unfriendly or untrusting or anything. Wasn't part of this whole idea to get herself out of her shell a bit? Yeah, so making friends would be good for her. Plus, she really wanted to see Tia again and meet Ralph. She'd bring that up to Maggie once they got moving. It wasn't that she thought Tia would be important to... well anyone here besides her, but having connections on the Isle was good right? As long as Tia wasn't dead or bitter, she would likely be a huge help to them.
For now, she just nodded at what Maggie said. "And if there's anything important we learn or anything that we learn would be good to have sent over here for us, I'll be calling Alexander again tonight," she said. She knew she had an important job. Maybe not as important as Billy or Maggie or Komboa or Mac or Akram, but she had to be at least as important as Eddie, didn't she? He was important. She didn't want to make it seem like the other boy wasn't important, but she just felt that the two of them were sorta below the leaders and the ones responsible for not letting any of them die. More important than the ones that were just sent as bodies, right? Not that they weren't important either.
It was a complex mess, but basically they were all very important in her mind.
She was just extremely excited to get to see the Isle. The lack of technology was already starting to get to her - with the phone being her lifeline to some tech, but there was still so much to learn. And as one of the Science Kids of Auradon, she was very excited to learn.

Shaka Zane Oyekan Son of Scar and Zira
Shaka crossed his arms, looking between his sister, cousin, and friend. Humans liked to believe they were the top dogs, so was it any surprise that one had finally made its way to the land where animals ruled? No, it wasn't, but it was up to the four of them to run him out of here and make an example of him. Humans weren't accepted out here. And the fact that Jace didn't have an issue with this? It seemed as if the ferals were due for a change in leadership, and Shaka knew just who should replace her.
"That little 'garden' of his is a joke. I don't see why he thinks he has what it takes to live out here in the wild. If it weren't for Jace and Nanji betraying who they are to help him, he woulda been dead by sunset on his first day. Humans aren't the top predator out here."
He spoke with confidence, making sure he was well established along with Shamakani and Lekan. While his twin was easily considered the leader of their little group and Shaka was happy to follow her lead, he also wasn't gonna let himself be pushed around or disrespected. He could see the shape of the young boy kneeling on the ground and patting the dirt of his little 'garden'. A sad plot of land, actually. The only growers on this island that he respected were the Slims. They ran quite the operation and provided food. He didn't respect them as a family, but he respected that what they were doing was more profitable than what this little child was doing.
