Also, apparently I need to auto generate - I mean write - several halfway decent short stories and poems before the semester really gets into full swing. AKA, I have a creative writing class and gosh darn it I'm getting ahead!

My teacher was really crazy & loved our class b/c it was the only creative writing class she was going to be getting D:
But her teaching style was really different and instead of making it so structured, she made it so we had prompts and stuff each week, but we had the freedom to do whatever we wanted, which was great b/c it didn't limit creativity.
One person in the class, I remember, was using each prompt to write pieces of a play. I don't remember if he finished or what he ended up doing with it, but that sounds awesome.

Whooo! Congrats on the short story!
I would like to do more Graphic Novel pages, to be honest. That's where my motivation is right now. XD
Because this Creative Writing class is structured the way it is, I'm actually going to be doing very little creative writing. Instead I'm apparently bringing out old writing just to stay afloat because there's just so many essays that you have to turn in as well.

How is your graphic novel going?
Oh, that's really annoying, I'm sorry D: My teacher was young & was very passionate about creative writing. She kind of treated us like her little flock of geese, haha, and she even took us outside at points so that we could write/draw inspiration from outside and just kind of be in a happy place as we wrote. It was the only creative writing class I ever took & I'm happy that's the way it turned out b/c I know other teachers who have taught it the way it sounds like your teacher will be :/

Fairly well! I have three pages of it as WIP and tomorrow I plan to get further.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah. Hopefully I can take a creative writing club or something later on. Looks like this class is just going to be one I muscle through and survive. We'll see though. Cross your fingers for me.
I miss the writing club that I used to have back in NC. It was super awesome. XD Even though they were always asking me when I would stop writing about cats.

*crosses fingers for you* I hope that the class isn't as terrible as it seems D: & I hope you find a writing club later on! I always wanted to join another club & there were certainly plenty at my school, but I only did one club because it met every day for a few hours at a time after class, so I never had time for another club XD
That's funny XD But, hey, I'm sure people told the Erins to stop writing about cats... and if they'd have listened, we wouldn't all be here XD

I did find a writing club! Thank goodness. Because the class is not panning out at all. But the writing club is a writing/book club and I'm super excited for it!!! Pftt. Very true! I still have all my old stories and I am certainly going to come back to them.  |

There were prompts and guidelines in both cases.
One was where you talked to a partner and then had to come up with your favorite word, a funny word, and a word you hate. Then your partner had to write a poem with all three of those words in it.

That actually sounds pretty awesome! Did you find it easy or hard to write with the prompt?
I once had a prompt where the poem could only be written with words made from the letters of your name xD that was a hard one, haha.

I had to do something similar with the essay per changes in high school. It made you want to rather not make any changes just so you didn't have to write another essay XD

In this case it made you have to make changes otherwise you were out of luck.

We had to make the changes, too, unfortunately xD But it still made you not want to, haha. I do have to say, though, for me at least, I did see improvements.
