Kansas Cats Planning Hello! Welcome! I know this idea doesn't sound the most appealing, but hear me out! I've been seeing ideas about cats in different countries and different areas, such as Australian cats, sea cats, etc. But I would love to see an idea about cats in a specific area in the United States - Kansas. This is in the Midwest, and it's a very plain-filled area with lots of fields and meadows. I think that it would be so cool to have a few Clans based around this area, and maybe one of the plots in the roleplay is that they have to migrate from their cornfield and move to Nebraska or something? I'm not sure, and I'm just brain-storming here! I'm thinking three or four Clans, and I would love to have people help run these clans. I think after some planning, I would be able to put up these Clans and have people join the roleplay! They're the traditional roles, (leader, deputy, med cats, med cat apprentices, warriors, apprentices, kits, queens, and elders), but just in different areas with different plot structures. If anyone wants to help, I would love to have people's help/opinions! The first Clan would be the ones in the middle of the cornfield, and their names would have something to do with corn and crops grown. Maybe another clan could be one that's structured around the abandoned treehouses made by the twolegs? And then the other Clan could be something that includes a swamp or marshy territory, or something along those lines. If there is a fourth clan, it could be structured around holes and underground structures, such as tunnels. If anyone would like to offer feedback/volunteer to run a Clan, I'd love to have you all on board! See you around! |

I would love to have you on my team! As you are the first person who has commented on this, I want to give you the first pick at which Clan you might wanna run? (If you're up to that?) I had the three (and possibly four) Clan descriptions in the original post's third paragraph.

Definitely! I would love that.
This is my first time starting a Clan on here, so I apologize if I'm a little un-educated about it, haha.
So if you would like to start planning a bit with history/personality/the leader, you can! Or whatever you want to do. (Like I said, my first time starting a roleplay!)

XD So sorry, I'm awkward. I don't necessarily want these to be traditional Clans, as some of the other Clan territories are different, and with that, the traditions and what we would generally see in the books, but I'm not sure what these would be.

I think it would be cool to have like different Gods like that instead of StarClan, and maybe they could even be different animals?? What do you think? Would you prefer keeping the leader/deputy/etc ranks or taking those away?

Like with the Native Americans, they often worshipped animal spirits, and they had a belief that these spirits and ancestors resided in the middle of the US with a giant tree. (And it just so happens that Kansas is the middle of the US.)
But yea! The medicine cat could be a shaman, and maybe the leader could be the chief or dux? Then the deputy could be something like "secundus" or another word for "second"?
I was also thinking, would you like to add other ranks?

Some of the other ranks could be like hunters and fighters, like the Tribe of Rushing Water?

Hi, it is a while later and I was wondering if there were maybe any beaches in Kansas? I have made/making a clan called SandClan which is on the beach. |
