Buzzardglide ❝ ━It's showtime! ♚
“Some of us are,” the warrior corrected with a chuckle, swiping a groomed paw through tousled pieces of wayward tufts. “Others, not so much.” It was partly true. A lot of cats that resided in the Place of No Stars were not nearly as bad as others. Some had been judged solely by their ambitious motives instead of their personal deeds, or whether or not they tried to kill their ex in a fit of jealous anger.
He was just about to continue with, ‘nah you aren’t dead,’ but a name snagged his attention and the tom just about choked—had the undead needed to breathe. He’d been introduced to many trainees in the Dark Forest, though never bothered to commit their aliases to memory: it was pointless knowledge cast at him when he could be using the extra storage to remember the best hunting grounds for lost souls. But though no mental image presented itself of this ‘Loudpaw’, it was clear he definitely belonged here. And that did not sit right with him. Seeing his daughter now… she was embarrassingly naive and gullible; impressionable even! No doubt an easy victim to lure into the Place of No Stars, not to mention she definitely would’ve been killed had it not been Buzzardglide to find her: and even he had nearly done it!
Under normal circumstance, Buzzard wouldn’t care about new recruits. In fact, he was a recruiter himself, probably one of the most manipulative out of the bunch: having a dangerously trained silver tongue since birth. So hurray for another edgy hellion! But this particular apprentice was unacceptable to enlist to literal hell. Sure he was being a bit hypocritical, selfish even. But did he care? Nah. It was then and there he decided no one was to mess with his daughter, for fear of his wrath. And even if the regulation came into effect now, he was still ready to issue punishments.
Loudpaw? More like Screamingpaw.
In the resulting plan of having Loudpaw mysteriously vanish, twice, Sunflowerpaw’s words were nearly lost on him. However, he did not miss the part about Softpebble failing to even mention him by name. It took him aback: Softie didn’t tell her anything about him? Something in his demeanor changed. A smile grew cold against his features, and as Sunflowerpaw kept going and going, the grin grew wider and wider. Something dark glinted at the back of his eye.
“Isn’t that a shame,” he said through clenched teeth. But now the apprentice’s enthusiasm came out as no surprise. She did not fear him because her mother had given her nothing to be scared of. All his bad deeds and accomplishments? Sunflowerpaw remained blissfully unaware. He smirked something triumphant and goading. The male had found a loophole to exploit that not even his ex-mate could’ve seen coming.
Well Softie, looks like you messed up. Then something fuzzy collided against his chest. His first reaction was to immediately act out in aggression and destroy whatever had found its way against his figure. Bloodied claws unsheathed, hovering mere centimeters over the trainee's exposed neck, ready to slash out a throat. The tom hesitated, trying to seek out a motive, before being caught off guard by loud vibrations. Purring. This wasn't an attack, but… a hug? Tensed frame relaxed, fur falling flat against his muscled form, tangled and unkempt. The claws initially meant to dispatch sheathed, paw coming to an awkward rest against the she-cat’s back. He returned the affection with surprising ease and with a gentle, almost fatherly touch landed his chin atop her head, essentially stuffing her into his mane of fur.
Buzzardglide was a touch-starved cat. In life, he had a knack for hugs, cuddles, and sharing tongues. In death, no one in the Dark Forest would willingly approach him—and for good reason. The dark warrior would probably dine on whoever got too close anyways. But even so, he could allow for this one exception. It felt odd, feeling the warmth of something living pressed up so willingly against his frosted form. He could feel her fluttering heartbeat against his hollowed out chest, sense the happiness bubbling through her throat. And for an instant it didn’t at feel odd, but rather… nice. The moment was short-lived, however, when the apprentice finally introduced herself. His pelt fluffed up in complete indignation.
“Sunflowerpaw?” he protested, deeply offended. “Look, okay, I get it. Your mom doesn't seem to be in the best of moods with me, but we discussed names before I, y’know, died. She could've at least given you the prefix Nightshade or Yew, or anything remotely scary. Sunflower is- is so soft. Pun incredibly intended, but I rest my case." Honestly, the tom wasn’t at all mad. Had he been, it would have come out as scary and not so comical—like a child throwing a tantrum. Still, there was truly an inkling of disappointment, but it was quickly dismissed into the realm of not-caring. He supposed he could see where Softpebble had come from, with all the yellows and blacks. A deep sigh. “Of course, that doesn’t mean I can’t get used to it. Your suffix can be a lot more vicious when the time comes. The name’s Buzzardglide by the way. Or Buzz. Or would you call me dad now? Wait, no, that’s really weird. Uhh, maybe? Yeah let's pin it on a maybe." Another smile returned, charming and fun, though hid more sinister intentions. Now that introductions were over, he needed to deal with something rather... problematic. “By the by, where’s that lovely friend of yours? You said he brought you here, yes?”

Slatewing. image Slatewing is an offset white almost grey tabby yet he has darker gray-brown tabby markings along his legs and tail. He shares the dark tabby markings that frame his face with his twin sister yet has a darker pink nose than her along with striking deep blue eyes; like blue chips of ice, but twice as cold. His built is well-defined, toned and lean. He’s an average sized tomcat for his age. Slatewing doesn’t like to think of himself as arrogant, more as proud. He isn’t afraid to boast, or look down upon someone he deems weaker, or less than him. the tom knows he is strong, and a cat not many others would want to go up against. He is very confident in his abilities as a warrior, and he sees no fault in being proud and sure of himself. Yet, the fuse on this guy is quite short, a trait he acquired from his father. When he loses his temper he usually simply becomes quiet, instead of lashing out on someone, but other times he isn’t so calm. And despite the fact that the tabby has the less wanted qualities in a warrior, his heart is in the right place. He just wants what is best for the clan. When it comes to his family, Slatewing possesses a fierce love for his twin sister. From a very young age, Slatewing and Poppywinter were extremely close. They had to be. Both their parents had died in a fire trying to get the twins to safety. ᴘᴀɪɴᴛᴇᴅᴛᴜɴᴅʀᴀ Warrior Relationships ━ older brother to sister, Poppywinter ; open to crushes Slatewing is 12 minutes older than Poppywinter even though their twins.

Poppywinter. image Poppywinter is a lighter color than her twin brother with her gray-brown tabby markings over her cream fur. The tabby markings are lighter along her legs and her body but darker on her tail and face. She has pale cornflower blue eyes that stand out against her pale pink nose. Her build is more lean and slightly toned than Slatewing’s as well as being slightly smaller in size compared to her twin. Poppywinter unlike her brother is a serious and introverted individual with emotional issues due to her upbringing from the loss of their parents, Slatewing just seems to hide it better than she can. At her core however, she has a caring personality devoted to protecting her clanmates, and a willingness to fight for what she feels is right. She is very passionate about her beliefs and quite direct about how she feels. When it comes to her family, Poppywinter possesses a fierce love for her twin brother. Loudpaw
With Buzzardglide & Sunflowerpaw
He had been wandering around the forest for a while now, the silence was almost welcoming to him. It was nice to experience this after spending every waking moment of his life around the constant noise of his own clanmates. Alas, not even this small slither of joy would last long for him. He could hear voices not too far off from him, both sounding a tad familiar but not to the point he could pinpoint who it was. I guess Sunflowerpaw either didn't come or she too is lost. It'll sort itself out soon enough. He strode through what felt like dead undergrowth until he caught sight of the cats. It was actually Sunflowerpaw and one the Dark Forest cats. The name of this cat was slipping his mind at the moment, could it be Blizzard something? He knew it had a zzard in it somewhere. I have too many things to remember in my living world to bother with remembering the names of every dark forest cat I meet. He reminded himself of this as he approached the two, taking a few steps towards the she-cat. He had to present himself...as a good warrior in front of her.
It was times like these he wish his tail was longer so he could wrap it over her in a protective way, it would certainly prove beneficial but instead he was stuck standing by her with a whisker length of his body in front. His body was relaxed despite his protective stance, not as though he was about to jump in front of her. "I found you, Sunflowerpaw! And It seems you found someone too?" He asked in a question, putting his head to the side as he stared at Buzzardglide. {Hey blaze, I didn't tag you bc im a fool but Driftfall is about to approach the deputy uwu you dont have to stop ur convo, he will probably just ask where Scorchstar is and wait for him c: }

![](https://www.karenfosbergphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Kelle-Sonny-and-Mica-fb-5.jpg) As his younger compatriot dissappeared, the muscled tom slunk through the long grass in a studied silence, though the pretty shecat might have had the advantage in terms of speed, but Scorchstar was careful and meticulous. Moons of experience adding confidence to the pad of his paws, his ears twitched with the whistle of wind that battered them, making the tracking down of a single creature by sight alone a difficult task, but the ginger leader was more than used to such conditions. He didn't let it deter him as he searched, oblivious to the world outside that moment right there. The Meadow was usually rife with wildlife, thus it didn't take too long for him to come across a potential target. A dusty brown robin, pecking in frustration at the hard ground underfoot, the worm apparently less elusive that morning. The leader slowed his pace, dropping his front as he posed into the hunters crouch, by now a reflex move after moons of hunting for his clan. He waited in silence, senses alert and careful. Calm and patient, only when did he feel the moment was opportune did he move. The thought of competition at the back of his mind, for now more concentrating on the potential of feeding his clan, if he won that would simply be a fortunate reward and a chance to show off. Gathering his muscles beneath him, he lunged with a start. Paws colliding with the unaware bird before it was even aware the threat had been looming ever closer. It elicited a soft squeak as the leader delivered the killing blow, but otherwise little went awry with his hunting efforts. Spinning on his heels, a proud smile ablaze on the flames of his facial features, he made his way back out of the long grass. Chest puffed out as he waited for the return of Winterfire. winterfire’s reply will be up in the morning before i take my mom to her doctor’s appointment
.ROWANWILLOW. .WARRIOR.
Rowanwillow had just arrived in camp when the shrills from the kitting queen seemed to fill the camp momentarily. Rowanwillow's ears pinned back and against his handsome cranium in response to so. Never really did he enjoy the cries from anything, whether it be comrade, prey, or enemy. But as soon as the noises came, they vanished just as fast, and silence filled the air. To the lack of sound, Rowanwillow had lifted his ears to listen, and had realized the silence that was given after the new mother's cries were now replaced with quiet mewling. The hunter felt his heart flutter at the sound of the newborns. His soft-spot, it seems, is the young ones of the clan, especially newborns. Rowanwillow had always felt overprotective towards anything that was younger than a warrior, but it was evident it was anything that was a kit and younger that Rowanwillow had felt his heart strings tug the most.
The hunter didn't understand how the physicians of their clan could do it. Because of so, he greatly admired both Driftfall and Palepaw. It was magnificent how they did their job so well, and he wouldn't know how the clan would survive without them. The work of the medicine cats are definitely, in a sense, magical. They were always working their amazing knowledge into ways to heal and save people. Either way, Rowanwillow just admired the two greatly.
Palepaw... The male thought as she began to make her way towards the Medicine Cat den. His face heated up in embarrassment when he caught himself staring, and realized that she was going to disappear into the den. With the thought, the male used his slender legs to build up speed towards the beautiful medic. "Palepaw!" The nimrod called out to the molly, hoping she'd turn around. As he began to get closer, Rowanwillow found his heartbeat beginning to grow loud and interfere with his hearing. Today was the day Rowanwillow will confess his feelings to Palepaw. He didn't exactly know how she felt, but he knew that whatever happened that him and Palepaw would still remain friends. At least he hoped. Rowanwillow was so nervous that he didn't really apply much of Palepaw's personality into her reaction. In fact, he just was thinking of so many scenarios that could be a possibility of how his confession goes. It varied from her running away to her being just as excited as he was. Either way, today was the day and Rowanwillow was not going to back out. No matter how forbidden it was, Rowanwillow wanted her to know. { . Palepaw - appzy . } { . Camp . }palepaw’s response will also be up in the am. quoting both of these to make sure i keep track of them. responses will be up when i wake up, which is early early

He shot an amused glance, his eyes crinkling as he laughed along with her. He shifted on his paws and let out a mock growl, "I thought I could depend on you," Sunhawk teased her as the tom finished rolling his shoulders. The ache was slowly starting to disappear which he was grateful for. "Ah yes, prey is sometimes a little more important than friends," he pointed out with a chuckle. His gaze flickering down to the squirrel she picked out for them, it probably wouldn't have been Sunhawk's first choice but squirrel was edible.
Dipping his head, Sunhawk agreed with a soft "yes," as he padded along besides her. He liked shade. He loved the sunlight and how it felt on one's pelt but the shade was always a cooling break. Sunhawk eased down into lying position and sprawling his hind legs out in a leisure manner with his paws in front of him.

- - - - - - - Moonspots With Duskstream / [ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 ] It wasn't often that Moonspots was quiet; the tom always had an charming and usually had more out-going attitude. However with the stress of becoming deputy, nevertheless the previously deputy was still alive, was wearing on the tom. The feline was typically confident but this whole situation had him doubting himself and stepping on egg-shells with his clanmates. It causing him to feel at war with himself.
"It was," Moonspots mused after he finished grooming the section of his flank, his blue gaze flickering up to meet Duskstream's. He shrugged his shoulders before wrinkling his nose, "I am glad the morning rush is over," he meowed, flickering his tail. It was likely that someone was going to forget their orders and they will ask him what they needed to do. He wondered if this is how Dovepool felt when everyone was asking her questions and demanding her attention. "How was your morning?"
Following Duskstream's gaze towards the medicine cat, Moonspots let out a soft hum. His gaze was unreadable as he looked at the medicine cat. He never had too much interaction with Driftfall with the expectations of getting a torn claw or having that cough one time. However, these past couple of days, he had been given the honor of the presence of Ashclan's medicine cat.

Her gaze flickered towards the nursery as she heard the whispered words; kits. The grey feline would have to find the time to visit the new little ones. Stormchime enjoyed kits. She just loved how bold they were. They were so honest and it was refreshing.
"Congratulation guys, we made it back in one piece," Stormchime joked with Hiddenflame and Magpieflight. She flickered her tail and padded away from the toms, "I will see y'all later," she purred and headed back over towards the warrior den. She could relax out there for awhile. If she remembered correctly, she didn't have any other patrols that she was assigned to. Maybe she tag along with another hunting patrol or join a mentor with their apprentice.

Winterfire roleplaying with Scorchstar 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ location: hunting patrol - - - - - - - - - - - - - Within a few minutes, Winterfire had crouched between several brushes, letting the wind rush over her, but not allowing it to carry her scent -- she was perfectly downstream of the rabbit she was tracking.
Less than a second later, she was on the rabbit and the poor thing couldn't even get out a scream for help as the white and orange molly closed her jaws around the neck of the rodent. Turning on her paws as quickly as she could -- she made her way back to the meeting spot to see who won.
Just as she was walking up, her eyes landed on an incoming figure. Her eyes danced with laughter as she came bounding up to the meeting spot. "I suppose, we could call this a tie?" She meowed softly as she dropped her rabbit at her paws; the two of the felines met up at the same time. His own prey was dangling out of his mouth as he approached the meeting spot.
Maybe he had truly won, maybe she had truly won, maybe it was truly a tie. They had no idea who actually caught the prey first, but rather, who got back to the meeting spot first. It was all based on luck. Winterfire was just looking for some fun, to take the new leader's mind away from the problems at camp -- maybe she was truly the loser but that was okay; she actually won today, regardless of what Scorchstar thought.

His dark ginger fur puffed up against the cold winds once more, making him seem all the larger compared to his actual size, an intimidating one by itself. He shook his head with a scoffing sound. "I definitely come first," he responded with falsified pride, allowing his tone to become exaggerative and arrogant. "Don't pretend otherwise just to save your pride," Scorchstar shook his head in 'dissapointment.' The glint in his eye giving away the game entirely.

Palepaw roleplaying with Rowanwillow 【 ᵗʷᶦˡᶦᵍʰᵗ 】 location: camp - - - - - - - - - - - - - Palepaw felt empty.
She felt empty after what had just occurred in the nursery, what Nightecho had revealed to them and the lack of help she could give the worried queen. Even her mentor, Driftfall, was struggling with what to do in this situation. This was a conversation that the medicine cat would have to have with Scorchstar, but for once in her life, she had no interest in participating. She figured that Driftfall could read the horrified expression on her soft face as Nightecho and him discussed what had happened or at least, what the queen believed to have happened or what will happen in the near future. It made Palepaw shudder with an overwhelming feeling of worry.
After she quickly dismissed herself from the nursery, she could feel the bile rising in her throat. She didn't know how to handle the Dark Forest; she was truly oblivious to the evil world that so frequently entwined with theirs, even Starclan lacked presence in such a place -- a place that was so dark that it gave kits nightmares, no it gave grown cats like Nightecho, nightmares. Another shudder ripped through her tiny body.
Would Nightecho truly give up her kits? Would she truly abandon them because of her father? Would she really let such an evil presence make the decision for her? Palepaw couldn't wrap her mind around it, that a mother would give up her kits for the sake of her father's words; Nightecho should defend those little balls of joy with her life because they didn't chose this life -- Nightecho and her mate, Sparrowhawk, decided to bring them into this world. The clan would protect them, wouldn't they?
Palepaw was drowning in her own thoughts, so much so that she didn't even realize a familiar russet colored tomcat coming up to her. She barely heard her name in the familiar tone of Rowanwillow. Her ears were roaring as she was losing herself into her thoughts. Her paws merely carried across camp for the sake of getting away from the nursery -- something so beautiful such as new born kits was yet ruined again by such evil things. This clan just couldn't seem to catch a breathe and sometimes it made Palepaw want to run far, far away from such a tainted home -- but that is what Ashclan was, home and running away was not an option that she could ever possibly pursue.
She lifted her soft green and amber eyes from the ground, her thoughts beginning to rush away like water running over smooth rocks. Her ears flickered as the steps of a cat came even closer and then her eyes snapped into focus as she realized Rowanwillow was coming towards, and with quick paws.
Her whiskers twitched lightly, a little hope burning in her eyes as she saw one of her best friends. He was recently made a warrior and it suited him. He looked more confident, the way he walked and held himself -- now, that didn't mean that Rowanwillow wasn't confident as an apprentice, but confidence in an apprentice only went so far.
"Hi Rowanwillow," the fluffy molly purred in a welcome when he was close enough to hear her soft mew. She still couldn't shake the feeling of sadness from her, as if it laid on her fur like it was a coat of dust. However, it was highly refreshing to see her best friend. She needed to see him, it always lifted her spirits. Palepaw didn't know what she would do without the fiery tomcat.

Winterfire roleplaying with Scorchstar 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ location: hunting patrol - - - - - - - - - - - - - Winterfire scoffed in fake disbelief as he spoke such words. "Well then, that wasn't rude at all," she rolled her stunning blue eyes at him before sticking out her pink tongue in his direction. She was returning the playful favor as she quickly picked up her plump, and slightly oversized, rabbit before giving him a wink and then bounding off. She took off back the way they came -- a small part of her knew they needed to head back to the camp sooner than later, and they had been gone for a quite a while now.
The wind washed over her fur, flattening it against her slender body, as she maneuvered back into the trees. With a quick glance behind her, to see that Scorchstar was not yet on her paws, she dropped her rabbit mid run and disappeared into the brush.
She quickly made a small loop around a few trees, hiding her scent as she did so. The white and ginger colored molly was crouching in the bushes as she waited for Scorchstar to catch up.
