Alone in the drawer was a beat up, yellow folder. It was stuffed with something, though neither twin could be sure on what it held before it was opened. Robin grabbed the chair and wheeled it over to the desk. She place the folder on the table and looked at it for a moment.
"What's in there?" Sparrow questioned.
"No idea. Let's see." Robin opened the top flap and dumped the contents on the table. Old pictures, beat up pieces of paper, and a few small bags fell atop the desk. Sparrow grabbed a few of the polaroids with interest as Robin collected some of the bags. They had certainly found something interesting.
Sparrow began to flip through the pictures. Some were blurry images of whoknowswhat while others were photos of people who were likely friends or family. As the young man glossed over the polaroids, Robin examined the bags. They were mostly full of strange trinkets like claws, teeth, fur or hair clippings, and even some bones. The young woman titled her glasses down to get a better look at the strange objects as she narrowed her eyes.
"What is all this?" She muttered quizzically.
(No worries. I don't have any major plans for my characters yet, though I have a couple of ideas in my head.)

[ ooooo if you wanna talk about the ideas you’ve got I’m more than willing to hear them! We could see what we could do with the ideas if you want? ]
He had to see what had been hidden in the drawer. Maybe there was something in there that would help him in his own search of figuring out what was going on and what had gotten his sister. And even if there wasn’t anything that really helped, Gifti was sure he’d be one step closer to getting the answers he needed.
Stepping away from the girl, the Bengal looked up at the desk for a moment, judging the distance from ground to desk top. Once he was sure he could make it he pushed forward on his back legs and jumped up, landing rather gracefully on the table. There he looked around at what the girl had found so far, his curiosity truly getting the better of him as he looked over the pictures and the bits and pieces on fur, claws, teeth, and bones.

(That's fine with me~ I was thinking Robin's and Sparrow's grandmother could've been a monster hunter, an (former) investigative reporter who had spent her life looking into monster, or have her lose someone close from a monster and stat looking into it. Alternitivly a combination of two of these could be fun as well.)
Sparrow placed the pictures beside his sister for her to take a look at them as his gaze drifted to the small objects. Teeth, claws, and even bones were in the tiny bags. Through violet-blue eyes, the young man looked on in concern.
"What is all this? What was grandma hiding?" Sparrow wondered aloud.
"I don't know. And I'm not entirely sure if I want to find out either," his sister replied quietly. The young woman briefly glanced at the Bengal as he jumped onto the desk. She reached out with concern the tabby would mess up everything on the desk. Instead much to her surprise, he seemed to be more curious about everything they had. Sparrow grabbed one of the small bags to examine it closer. As he turned it over in his hands, some faded writings caught his eye.
"V-a-m," he muttered. barely making out the letters. "Vam-p-i...wait dies this spell vampire?" The young man asked as he handed the bag to his sister. Robin grabbed the object and looked it over. The words were faded and diffcult to make out, but she could see it read vampire.
"Yeah the label does say vampire and I assume it means a vampire fang. Surely it must be talking about a bat. There's no such thing as vampires, werewolves, or-or shapeshifters."
"I hate to break it to you, Robin...but that's too big to have come from a small animal like a bat." The redhead nodded and swallowed hard. She was starting to become uneasy and nervous with the more they found out.

Daxter sighed as he gave that some thought. He did that a lot actually. Both sigh and think about things. His parents said that was why he was deemed smart in peoples eyes. Why people turned to him during tests for the answers. The reality of it was that he was of average intelligence.Sure he had really quick recall but that was only on what he wanted to pay attention to.He couldn't do the kind of math done in 10th by now.And don't get him started on history.
So here he was, trying to think about why and/or how these things chose here of all places. It was outrageous how badly he tried to find something to go to something else only to be lead back to the beginning. It was like doing multiple puzzles with the pieces all jumbled together.Just when you thought you might be getting somewhere with one you realize you put the wrong piece in the wrong puzzle."I give up!"He huffed, pale white arms shooting into the air and falling back down."Nothing I can think of makes sense or even remotely connects to anything else."

I’ll get replies up as soon as I can, it may be a while before I can though But Robin and Sparrow’s grandma being a hunter or reporter that lost somebody to the monsters would be really cool to see! I’m sure there’s people out there that were/are hunters looking into this and have for a while

[ that would be really cool and I’m excited to see how it all plays out! ] Gifti — AmberAll of this was amazing. There was a wide assortment of all sorts of things, and Gifti couldn’t help but stare at it all with his amber eyes wide. He could only imagine just how difficult collecting these samples must have been, and he didn’t even want to begin to know how many near death experiences this grandma of theirs had getting all of these things. This was also when Gifti started to realize that these two had no idea what really went on in Echo Ridge, and a part of him felt somewhat sorry for them. They were going to have to find out the hard way, and that was never a fun thing to do. He continued to look the collection of samples over, deep in his observations until the word “shape-shifter” caught his attention. Gifti couldn’t help but let out a faint meow. Now that was something he knew a lot about considering he was one himself. Most shape-shifters could only change into one different form. Obviously for Gifti his extra form was a cat. Some shifters were owls or horses. He had even ran into a lizard shifter at one point. Now there were some out there that were far more powerful than the typical shifter and could take the form of anything they wanted. Coyote, raven, rabbit, snake...the options were limitless. Gifti had never met one of those shifters before, but he wouldn’t doubt it if one was runnin around Echo Ridge. He wouldn’t doubt it if there was one that powerful causing some of the madness that plagued Echo Ridge in the colder months. Or maybe not. Maybe a powerful shifter kept to itself. After all, Gifti was living proof that not all creatures were malevolent. Only some were, and for the ones that were they sure knew how to cause a scene all the while staying hidden even from other creature’s eyes. Mouse — ProtractorThere had to be something out there that made Echo Ridge such a hotspot for all things ghastly and ghoulish. Perhaps a curse? Some sort of thin veil between the realm of humans and monsters? Mouse couldn’t quite think of anything solid just yet, but surely she would eventually. Maybe once she started digging into the town’s history she would find some clues and piece them together. She was about to ask Daxter if he had thought of anything when he brought his hands up into the air and exclaimed that he was giving up. Mouse didn’t like the sound of that. Pursing her lips, she got up on her feet and moved over closer to the male, reaching up and offering a comforting touch on the shoulder; she had to get up on her tip toes to do so, but that didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. ”Brain fried? That’s okay. You don’t have to help me anymore tonight, you’ve already done quite a bit.” Mouse was rowdy and aggressive, a fighter more than anything, but that didn’t stop her from caring about those she was close to, and if Daxter was out of brain power for the night then Mouse didn’t have a problem with putting her research on hold until later.

(Yeah same here)
"No that's simply not possible. It's probably fake or a mislabeled tooth. As I said, things like vampires don't exist," the young woman replied as she set down the mysterious tooth.
"Well maybe that's the case. Or maybe we should consider that it's possible. I mean the label says it's a vampire tooth, then this sample of fur is from a," Sparrow reached for another bag and read the label, "werewolf. And I'm sure the other items are labled the same. If it was fake, why would someone go through the trouble of collecting so many or labeling each one?"
"You're reading too much into it. These objects are fakes or mislabeled as I said. Nothing more, nothing less," Robin grumbled. When Sparrow didn't say anything, the young woman contiuned to look through everything on the desk. There were mostly pictures, a few loose papers, and, of course, the odd objects. Robin reached for some of the papers to look through. As she took a quick glance through them, she noticed they were letters. Quickly skimming over them she noticed they mentioned supernatural creatures. Lizardpeople, ghouls, serpents, and other creatures were spoken about through the letters. It unsettled Robin.
"What do you have there?" Sparrow asked. His sister didn't say anything just handed him the pages. The man quickly read through them, growing slightly pale.
"Well then. I think that can confirm how real these things are." He gestered toward the objects on the table as they sat in silence for a moment.

Gifti had, obviously, always believed in the supernatural. If anything it had been hard for him to believe that there were people out there that weren’t able to shift into a particular animal or people out there that weren’t actually some sort of beast of the night. It had been hard for him to realize that not ever dog was secretly some chupacabra or something like that, but that wasn’t how the world worked. Not everybody was a supernatural being, and Gifti knew that now. And not every supernatural being was tolerate to people like he was. And not every supernatural being was tolerate to other supernatural beings.
Shaking those thoughts away, Gifti turned his attention back to the siblings. He could see how hard all of this was for them, or at least he could see how uncomfortable this newfound information was making them. On steady paws he walked up to the edge of the desk and reached a paw out, meowing faintly at them. It probably wouldn’t be the best idea to show them that shape-shifters were completely and totally real, but the thought was certainly on his mind right now. It would probably be best to ease them into the whole thing. At least for now, Gifti was going to remain a cat. He could worry about shifting later when it wouldn’t traumatize the poor sibling pair.

Robin glanced at the cat and scratched him between the ears briefly distracting herself. If she didn't know better, she would think he was interested in what they were looking at.
"Aw I see you like Sir Whiskers," Sparrow noted with a smile. He set down the papers for a moment, seeming to enjoy the distraction as well.
"Sir Whiskers? Not only did you name the cat, but you gave him a ridiclous one. We're not keeping him you know," the redhead said with a smirk.
"Well by giving him a name you'll get attached and we can keep him. If you don't like the name Sir Whiskers, I have plenty more," the young man replied, his eyes dancing with amusement. Robin rolled her eyes and checked the drawer once more to see if they missed anything. After a few minutes of feeling around the drawer, her hands brushed aganist something cold and metallic. Narrowing her eyes she played with the object before getting it loose. Quickly pulling it to the light she saw it was another key. This one, however, looked like it belonged to some storage unit or mail box. Sparrow pressed his lips together and nodded.
"Grandma has another secret," he noted solemnly. Robin quietly nodded. After a brief silence she picked up a few of the pictures.
"We can test this thing out later. Let's finish looking at what we have here." Her brother simply nodded then picked up the letters again as she shuffled through the polaroids. In the bottom margins of most of the pictures were descriptions of what they were. Robin first shuffled through some family pictures at a lake. She recognized her grandmother, her siblings and some of her friends. The images were from a camping trip back in the 60's. Setting them aside, the next pictures were more interesting. Some were blurry images of something running or flashes of something vaguely resembling an animal. It was mostly the same until she reached the one what looked like a wolf. Robin paled as she looked the picture over. A great beast with brown fur and wild, glowing eyes was snarling. Saliva dripped from its mouth and it appeared almost bipedal.
"What now?" Sparrow asked with concern. Robin handed him the photo.
"Oh...wow."

Sir Whiskers. Were they really about to call him that? Gifti would accept a lot of names, but Sir Whiskers was one he didn’t have that great of an opinion on.
Narrowing his amber eyes he turned and looked over at the young man, twitching his tail back and forth. He let out a low breath of air, an exasperated sigh if anything. He wasn’t going to be staying here for long, but in the time he was here he was not going to be called Sir Whiskers. If the boy went on to insist such a name Gifti would give him a better piece of his mind, but a sigh should do the trick. Hopefully.
Besides that, Gifti brought his attention back to the discoveries that were being made by the pair of siblings. From the looks of it their grandma had been some sort of hunter, or some sort of researcher even. There were pictures and samples, everything indicating that she had been something that went out of their way to locate and track down the supernatural. He looked back to the twins. This was something their grandmother had kept well hidden from them. When he noticed the girl pass over a picture that she had just found, Gifti let out a curious mew, head tilted to the side and ears perked straight up in wonder of what she had just found.

Sparrow scanned the photo for a moment. Something caught his eye in the background. Upon closer look it was a person. Their features were hard to make out and the figure was barely more than a blur.
"Hey look at this." He pointed to the figure in the background as he held up the photo.
"Oh a blur. Cool. Look we're overracting here it's a fake. This is all fake. Monster movies were big when this picture was taken and people were dressing up as these creatures. Honestly it's likely this was grandma and her friends making costumes and taking pictures of their work. Nothing more." Although Robin sounded confident, she wasn't entirely sure what the answer was. Picking up the key again, she turned it in her hand and read the chain. It was for a local storage unit that was just outside of town.
"You know what, we have this key and there's enough time before dusk...probably. Let's go check out what she has in there." Before Sparrow had a chance to say something, Robin was already on her feet.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Slow down, Robin. I don't think that's a good idea, especially because of how the townspeople act and Oh yeah all this!" He gestered to the desk full of their new discoveries. Robin hesitated and readjusted her glasses.
"Well if we're quick enough we'll be fine. And don't you want to know what a this is? If we leave now we'll get back at sunset and be fine." Sparrow paused for a moment and began to think it over.

That caught Gifti's attention. If they were going out then they'd need somebody to help keep an eye out on anything that might be out there. It wasn't dark just yet, but there was only a good hour or so left before things would start to stir. Perhaps things would be relatively safe out there still, though. It was still early in the season, and there weren't as many monsters out and about just yet. They were starting to show up with a few signs of their appearances here and there, but so far there hadn't been anything too terrible to worry about. Activity would start to pick up soon, but for now the night was still somewhat safe.
Even still, he didn't want these two going out there alone when they seemed new to all of this. He let out a meow, hoping to get their attention. As he did he jumped off the desk and onto the ground, tail held high in the air as a way to grab their attention in a motion rather than just vocally. And maybe, if he timed all this right and nothing got in the way, he could help them out as a guide, get them back home before dark, and then get away before they took him inside again. They seemed like nice people, but Gifti couldn't afford being stuck as their house pet for years to come.

Sparrow sighed and bobbed his head around. After a moment he spoke. "Alright you have a point. Can we at least bring like a bat or something just in case things get...messy?"
Robin nodded. "Yeah of course let's bring a weapon. There are weird people out there and it's a good idea to have something with us." The young woman began to lead the way downstairs. Sparrow paused for a moment and picked up Sir Whiskers when he meowed. He held the tabby tightly to his chest as he carried him down the old steps, only loosening his grip when they reached the first floor. Robin had already gone to the garage and grabbed a wooden bat. Sparrow watched as his sister grabbed a small bag and packed it with her phone, wallet, and some pepper spray.
"Looks like we're prepared," the young man noted.
"Yeah. Let's go." The redhead paused for a moment gazed at her brother. "Put the cat down. We're not bringing him. We don't need to keep track of him while we're in a hurry." The young man sighed, but nodded as he set the Bengal down.
"Sorry Sir Whiskers, but she's right. Bye little buddy." Sparrow grabbed his own belongings and carried the bat.
"Still on that name?" Robin grumbled as she struggled to open the door. She finally managed to wedge it open and exited. Sparrow followed closely behind.
"Yup. I was also thinking about calling him Ernie. That's not a bad name, right?" Robin rolled her eyes and didn't answer as Sparrow began to close the door behind them.

At first Gifti was sure he was about to get to go with the two on this little trip of theirs. He allowed himself to be picked up and held, toted along like a little puppy against the boy’s side - he really needed to figure out the guy’s name. He knew the girl was Robin, but beyond that had she said her brother’s name at all? Probably, but it might have been during a time he wasn’t paying that much attention. Well, if the guy was going to call him Sir Whiskers, then Gifti was going to give him a placeholder name as well. Maybe something like...hmm, the girl was Robin, and while Gifti could give her brother a name just as dumb as Sir Whiskers, he decided to go with the bird theme here. He was probably far off from the guy’s actual name, but for now he was going to refer to him as Wren. That worked well enough.
The Bengal soon had his thoughts changed on him when Robin turned to tell her brother to leave the cat behind. Gifti supposed it made sense, most people wouldn’t bring what they assumed to be a regular cat with them out on a potentially dangerous trip, but he had put a little faith in Wren to talk Robin into letting him go.
He tried darting out of the door before the two could close it, but of course lick was not on his side and the door closed right before he could get out. He let out a frustrated hiss and, in hopes of getting their attention before they walked away too far, got up on the door with his front paws pressed against it and started meowing as loud as he could, scratching and pawing to make as much noise as he could.

The cat began to whine and paw at the door. His cries only got louder as they began to leave. Sparrow hesitated and grabbed the key from his sister. "We can't leave him like this. He sounds so heartbroken," the young man dramatically gestered to the door.
"No we're not bringing the cat," Robin hissed.
"Come on, what if he attracts some thing to the house? It doesn't necessarily mean monsters or whatever but stray dogs, maybe a coyote, or even a person could get in the house," the man pointed out. The redhead watched her twin for a moment. Though she hated to admit it, he had a point. Whether there were monsters or not, the twins wouldn't want something to get into the house. Briefly thinking it over, Robin sighed.
"Alright, you've one this time, Sparrow. Go get him." The man's face lit up as he hurried back to the door. He set the bat down then unlocked the front door. Forcing it open, he was careful not to hurt Sir Whiskers.

A part of him didn't think he would be returned to. He was pretty sure he'd end up being stuck in the house until the two got back, especially if Robin had anything to do about it. Gifti had only known them for an hour or two at most, but he had already noticed how it was Robin who seemed to be the more serious of the two, the leader of the two, if he had to put an actual title to it. She seemed to dictate most of what happened between her and her brother. It was an interesting relationship to watch, but if Gifti thought on it too much he'd be hit with a pang of sadness that he'd never get to share anything with his own twin sister anymore. Even if she had been dead for a few years now that didn't make the pain of her being gone any less extreme for him.
Luck must have been on his side, though, because before he knew it he heard footsteps coming near the door rather than away from it. He let out a few more loud meows before the door was opened, and without a second thought, Gifti rushed out the house and entered the outside world. He stopped a few feet away from the house and turned to look back at the newly dubbed Wren, offering a slow blink of gratitude.
Gifti soon turned his gaze toward Robin as he made his way over to her, pressing up against her leg. He might as well give her a show of thanks as well since he knew it had been her caving in that allowed Gifti to be free in the first place.

As soon as he had opened the door, the cat was out in a flash of brown. Robin hissed ahead, something about the stupid cat getting out, as the tabby came to a stop. The young man blinked in surprise as the cat blinked back. While the Bengal rubbed up aganist his sister's leg, Sparrow turned back to the door. After a few minutes of struggling, he eventually got it closed. Once more he picked up the bat and turned back to his sister, who was leaning down and rubbing Sir Whiskers between the ears with a smile. Quietly he approched and could hear her doting on him.
"You're kinda cute little fella. And smarter than I thought. Come on." She paused for a moment and picked up the cat, then saw her brother. He struggled to hold back a laugh.
"How the tables have turned," he giggled. Robin began to blush slightly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." She turned away and began to head back towards the town. Sparrow rolled his eyes. He could tease her about it later.
The trip into town was surprisingly quick. There were less people than before wandering the streets, which wasn't surprising given what they knew. Robin saw the way people glanced at her and Sparrow. The small group was kind of odd. She led the way with the cat in her arms. Behind her, her brother carried an old bat without a mit or baseball in sight, heading into town just before dusk. Okay maybe they weren't that odd, but they certainly got a few looks from people they passed on the streets.
-0-
Aster Muns hated fall. She hated that time of year when the leaves changed into brilliant colors and the air became cooler. It only reminded her if the tragedies that occurred in Echo Ridge and the fear everyone held for nightfall. Things would happen around town. Violent, unexplained things that made her wonder why people still lived in the area. Of course she couldn't be one to talk. Old enough to strike out on her own, there were ways for her to leave Echo Ridge and find somewhere safer to lived. Perhaps it was the nostalgia that kept her in town or maybe it was the hope people she had lost long ago would come back alive and well. She wasn't sure if she wanted to know what kept her there.
Aster strolled along the sidewalk with a sandwhich in hand. Despite her dislike for the current season, she softly smiled and tried to enjoy her walk. A short stroll through town was also always nice. She enjoyed talking with the other locals and taking the time to explore the town. Even during the tense time of year it was something she enjoyed doing.
As she walked through town, her phone buzzed. It was her uncle, checking up on her for the fifth time in the last hour. She couldn't balem his concern and worry. Night would be upon Echo Ridge soon enough and the sooner she was home, the sooner she'd have to stop thinking about the things that went bump in the night. Aster quietly made her way down the street, still enjoying her sandwhich.
(Oh look, Aster's finally here.)

It was always amusing to see how somebody could be won over just with a cat. Not that Robin had been against his presence or anything, but she had certainly been the one to destroy the fun. Had she allowed him to go outside in the first place he wouldn’t have had to cause a ruckus within the house, but enough of that.
While he would have enjoyed walking on his own beside the two, he allowed himself to be picked up and carried once more. For the most part he stayed calm in Robin’s arms, letting out soft purrs here and there. While he didn’t want to stay with the two forever, he could at least make this entire situation comfortable for him and for them as well.
Once in town he perked up somewhat, moving against Robin to get a better look at what was around them. His ears swiveled back and forth as he glanced upward at the young woman carrying him. They certainly did make quite a scene together, but really, this town had more important things to worry about than two kids with a bat and a cat in their possession.

Quietly the twins walked through town. They weren't stopped by anyone, much ti their relief. They passed various shops and walked in front of the library. Sparrow glanced towards the grand building, a wave of discomfort washing over him. He wondered if the stranger from earlier was still there. He didn't dwell on the thought as they followed the path towards the storage facility. The sun slowly headed towards the west, threatening to start setting soon. Robin began to quicken her pace. The sooner they reached the storage unit, the sooner they could get back.
Soon enough the twins got to the entrance of the facility. The lights were still on and it appeared a worker was still inside. Robin handed her brother Sir Whiskers before pulling out the storage key.
"I'm good at talking, so I'll go in and find out where this storage unit is, you wait out here with the cat."
"Alright. Good luck," Sparrow replied. Robin gave him a quick nod before heading into the front. Through the window the young man watched his sister talk with the worker. They seemed apprehensive, which made sense considering the time. After a few minutes of what appeared to be bartering, the worker and Robin walked out. She gave Sparrow the thumbs up and he smiled. Awkwarldy carrying the tabby and bat, he made his way to Robin. She quietly took the bat as the worker led them to the storage unit.
Unit 115 the white letters read. Red pain peeled and chipped off the door while the dull lock hung from a similar looking chain. The answers they needed were behind the door. As Robin reached to unlock it the worker spoke up. "Look I may get in trouble for this, but I'm leaving. I don't want to stay here after dark and if you two are smart, then you'll do the same."
"Thank you, we appreciate it," Robin called after the employee as they left. They didn't turn back. Turning her attention to the task at hand, the young woman unlocked the unit and opened it up. She didn't know what to expect, but wasn't surprised to find the unit quite full. What she was surprised with was how organized everything was. Usually those things were messy and disorganized, this was quite the opposite.
"Going through this will at least be easy," Sparrow muttered.

Mouse — Protractor There had to be something out there that made Echo Ridge such a hotspot for all things ghastly and ghoulish. (Rain+wifi=an inactive 3 X.x) "What? No!I'm just done tryna figure out why this of all places is a breeding ground.I'm still willing to help with anything else."But if he was sure he had the energy he wasn't sure.Sometimes he had the energy of a cat on catnip.Other times it was like he was being controlled by a cat off catnip.Like waves."Anything else we should work on?"

Gifti — For the most part the shape-shifter stayed in the arms of whoever was holding him whether it be Robin or her brother. At the moment there wasn’t much he could do, so he stayed where he was and simply let whatever happened happen. He paid mind to the storage worker, listening to what all he had to say until he took his leave.
It wasn’t until the storage was opened that Gifti felt the need to get back on the ground and actually do his own exploring. He started wriggling around in the boy’s grasp, squirming and worming around. A part of him knew it would be so much easier to investigate in his human form, but that would cause too much of a stir from the twins and nothing would get done. Maybe he could talk to them how he was now. Just because he was in his cat form didn’t mean he had lost the ability to communicate with humans. That would more than likely frighten the two as well, but perhaps not as much as him just turning back into a human. It was something on his mind, and Gifti might just do it.
Mouse — ”Hey,” Mouse started, looking at Daxter with concern in her green eyes. ”I appreciate the help, I really do, but we don’t have to focus on this anymore.” Sure, Mouse still wanted to figure things out, but she didn’t want her friend wearing himself thin over this, especially since he still had that test to worry about. Mouse could be difficult and abrasive, but if there was one thing about her it was that she was a good friend from time to time, and if something was bothering somebody she cared about she would stop at nothing to try and make the problem go away.
After a moment she offered a faint smile toward Daxter. ”But if you are still up for it, we could look more into Echo Ridge’s history. The internet might have something, and if not we can see if the library has anything tomorrow.” It was definitely too late to go there now, but tomorrow would be a good shot to go and do some research.

The twins entered the unit and glanced over the boxes. There weren't as many as they initially thought. Sparrow mindlessly set down the cat as he began to struggle and studied the unit. None of the boxes were labled, though they were all neatly stacked and covered in dust. At the back was another desk, smaller than the one in the house and little better than a table. To the side, meanwhile, was a line of filing cabinets. They too were covered in a fine layer of dust. It was dark and diffcult to see inside. Robin blindly searched for a light, eventually managing to turn one on. It glowed weakly, but provided enough light for the pair to work.
"Alright so now we're in grandma's secret storage unit. Now what?" Sparrow asked.
"We start looking for stuff." Robin replied as she headed to the cabinets. They weren't locked and opened easily enough. With metal sliding aganist metal, Robin opened the first drawer and was greeted with a line of folders. Some were thicker than others and they were all labled similarly to the objects found in the desk at home. Sparrow looked into the drawer behind his sister. His eyes widened as he glossed over the foulders. Each twin pulled out a file and headed over to the desk to start reading. They stared at the files for a moment, unsure if they wanted to head on.
"So," Sparrow began awkwardly, "you ready?"
"Yup. Are you?" The young man nodded and they opened their foulders. Robin's was labled werewolf and had a similar looking picture to the one they found back at the house.
"Look at this. It appears to be the same creature." She pointed to the image as Sparrow scratched his chin, nodding. As he scanned the top page, he noticed the handwriting was different.
"And look that's grandpa's handwriting!" He paused for a moment and carefully pulled the paper from the file. "June 29th, 1965. I found myself in a sleepy town called Claymore Park. The locals are alright, if not a bit jittery. This is likely due to reports of some dog-like creature terrorizing the area. Rumors say it's a werewolf, but I have yet to see how true they are for myself."

As soon as he was put down Gifti gave a quick stretch of his legs before he got himself to work. He sniffed around the storage for a moment or two, collecting mostly just a lot of dust from everything not having been touched in a while. He shook his head as he held back a sneeze. He was able to keep it back and was soon nosing around a few of the cabinets, ears perked forward in interest and eyes wide as he shifted them around in search of anything important or relevant.
He was content in his own search until he realized the two twins had found something that grabbed their interest. Gifti stepped back from where he had been looking around to turn his attention over to the two once more. His tail twitched in curiosity before he padded over, nose twitching just in case he could pick up the smell of anything that might lead to something else.
Gifti’s interest was then piqued when he heard werewolf be brought up. The Bengal shifter didn’t know much about the town of Claymore Park, but he knew a good deal about werewolves - had even dated one at one point but that was a story for another time. He looked up at the twins and gave a small meow. Maybe he should help them out a bit more, give them some insight on what he knew about werewolves, but he still had to think on it. Depending on how the reacted to him just meowing would help him make a decision in the end.
