( Yikes I totally lost track of time 0.0 sorry Feather. Unfortunately I’m probably going to be pretty slow for most of this month- for zone crazy reason I decided doing huevember and nanowrimo at the same time on top of other art projects and commissions was a good idea... so far I’m behind on, er... everything. c’x )

As Arlo had expected, it was fairly easy to locate the library. In fact, it actually seemed to be a bit closer than it had appeared on the map. Maybe she’d misjudged the size of the town the night before, or maybe she was just so used to walking long distances that it didn’t mean much to her.

She paused outside the building to finish a granola bar, then walked inside. In her travels, Arlo had been in more libraries than she could remember and was pretty used to the way they were set up. She would probably need to ask about records of the towns odd events, but books were usually easy for her to locate on her own. The young woman found a free computer without much difficulty and ran a few searches for books on local lore and history as well as mythological creatures. She was pretty sure she already had books in the messenger bag that covered the latter more accurately than the books she could find in the library but she saw no harm in looking for more.

Leaving the computer, Arlo headed into the isles to pick up a few books she thought might be useful before approaching the front desk. “Hello,” she started as she reached the counter. She wasn’t standing on the street corner at sunset with a map this time but it was still pretty obvious she wasn’t a local- her accent alone was enough to make that obvious. It was hard to tell where exactly she was from, but maybe somewhere in Britain. “I’m studying Echo Ridge history for a project. It’s been very interesting, but I was wondering if I might be able to find a bit more information on these attacks.”
