"I get plenty of time to myself, especially when I'm out riding. Grandfather does most of the inside work, like cooking, sewing, and tending the fire. My brothers and I usually work outside, getting the cows to pasture and chopping wood." Aiman looked up when Abir came back, seeming to take more interest in him than in Odali.
"Genchai is run by a wealthy couple. In name the husband owns the town, he inherited the money from his father and owns most of the farms that sell their produce into Genchai. He's a recluse though, it's his wife you're more likely to see walking around and giving orders. You'll know her when you see her, because she's usually wearing very traditional dresses with lots of fur trim, especially in the colder months. She's the lord's second wife, she is noticeably younger than he is, but even though she flaunts her money she's nice and approachable enough, and won't turn her nose down at you."
"Also you need to avoid the centaurs, there's quite a few that pass through here from the steppe tribes. Except for the mercenary centaurs, they're not bad company and they don't cause trouble. Not that the tribe centaurs are hostile, but they're large, rowdy, easily offended, and like to challenge people. Always turn down a fight with a centaur, even a friendly fist fight will leave you bruised for months." Aiman explained at length. She added the last part like she'd known that pain personally.

Arrow Toss -M-Tabaxi-Thief A lean and rather tall tabaxi with short pitch black fur and one pale blue eye. Arrow is a rather scruffy looking tabaxi with many scars across his body, including a missing ear and eye. Hes a bit of a kleptomaniac.
Rook Milo-M-Harpy-trader/traveler A short and well dressed harpy. Brown eyes, hair, brown hawk wings, and hawk legs. Hes a kind trader who can be a bit shy at times.
(I hope these are ok!)

The forest was quiet. Thick clouds hung threateningly in the dim sky as evening approched the area. Astra carefully made her way through the western woodlands in silence. She spent most of her time in the area watching, hunting, and tracking. She tended to be the eyes and ears of the forest for the citizens of Genchai. The half-elf was a recluse who rarely went into town or interacted with anyone, but people still knew her. Or at least knew about her. The lumber workers certainly were part of the former as she often traveled through the large birch forest.
The further Astra wandered, the darker the clouds got. Soon enough a light drizzle began to fall from the sky. The ranger had been among the natural world long enough to know the storm would only grow. Astra quietly contiuned her sweep of the area, checking for anything weird or concerning. She would stay out well after dark to finish her task, even if there would be a storm in the night.
Nothing really stood out to the woman as she walked along. The only noises in the forest were frogs and toads croaking as well as the rain bouncing off the canopy. It was a soothing, yet monotonous sound. Something that blended into the background of her walk. The path Astra followed began to get muddy as the evening grew chilly. The half-elf was mostly unaffected by the cold, or at least was accustomed to it. The ranger was growing bored. Then she heard rustling bushes. Every sense was alert as she silently stepped into the treeline. She was able to blend in with her surroundings, crouching low and becoming almost invisible. She kept her gaze fixed on the forest ahead, ready to face whatever was out there.

(added! Fuzzymask ) Kuzey rode a stocky light brown horse with white blaze, the man tucked into a warm coat while in the saddle as it rained in the cold evening. He was herding the last of the cows into the pen and kicked the gate shut from his saddle. He pulled out a few ropes, knowing at least one or two cows were missing, so he turned his horse around and rode back away from the farm towards the fields and forest again.

They knew well and good this was one of the God's rather useless creations. They started off as dark clouds. Then it got windy. Then cold. Then slow drizzle. Then next thing you know you're trying to find the nearest cave to shelter in.Pathetic.Pathetic and wasteful.
The tall angel looked at it's clothes, pants, shirt, and a trench coat as most people wore these days. They were getting heavy and smelly as they trudged through the woods. If it hadn't been for them being utterly lost they would've just waited the storm out. No,they had saw a female making their way through the woods and wanted to ask directions. They knew they might not be a very welcoming sight, their dark skin, long pitch black and soaking hair, bones being visible through their skin, two goat like horns on his head, and two wings, one of golden feathers and the other of burnt bat skin.
They stumbled out from behind some trees and bushes and noticed the girl was no where in sight."Hello?"They called in an old and scratchy sounding voice."Miss if you aren't too keen on hiding much longer I'd like directions."

(Thank you!)
Rook didnt mind the rain, his feathers helped to keep the water off and his light coat helped the young harpy to stay warm and dry. But the rain did prevent him from flying. It was simple to dangerous. So now he found himself petting a cow he had stumbled upon. He cooed at the large bovine as he patted it. Rook had a soft spot for farm animals, as he had lived on a small farm in his youth.

The dark brown cow was uncertain how to feel about the strange harpy, but didn't run away. It kept mooing for its herd, walking slowly across the field eastward.

Rook watched the cow for a bit and decided to follow the lonesome cow. He had nothing better to do until the rained cleared and he could at least keep this random cow company. In all honestly this cow made better company than most people.

It stopped after a while and sped up to get to the top of the hill. It avoided the woods nervously, worried about predators. As the sky grew darker the cow had trouble seeing however, and tripped on some rocks when it reached the top.
Kuzey headed back to the field with his horse at an even trot. He would've been faster, but the horse was already tired of running around that entire afternoon. He didn't carry a lantern with him, always thinking about thieves or highwaymen in the woods, or maybe something even worse.

"That's good at least," the wizard replied. Odali was grateful when her brother showed back up. He was always the more sociable one. The one who could talk to people better. Along with his armor he left his longsword behind. It was likely for the wiser, less unwanted attention in the long run. Abir sat beside his sister, glad to finally rest. He listened to Aiman with interest as she spoke, occasionally nodding along.
"So the wife is the public face by the sound of it. It should be easy to avoid her if we need to. Thanks for warning us about the centaurs too. Last thing we need is to cause trouble." Odali nodded in agreement.
"Do you know of any job openings or where we can find some?" Abir contiuned. They had been good at saving up the coin they had, however looking for work was never a bad thing.
Galvin finished the song to a few applause. He slightly bowed and glanced around. "Any song requests?" He asked addressing the entire tavern. For a few minutes, no one spoke up. He decided to wait a little longer before playing his next song.
-0-
Astra gazed at the strange figure. They had a pair of wings, one bird-like with brilliant golden feathers and the other similar to a bat. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously, having never seeing anything like the person before. When the person called to her, they seemed to simply want directions. Carefully she sat up and moved forward. Her drawn bow was facing the ground as she watched the person.
"I can help you with directions," she flatly replied. "Where do you need to go?"

Rook padded the cows side softly. "Careful firend, you dont want to hurt your self." He said softly. Atop the hill Rook had a better idea on his surroundings. Well the surroundings he cod see. He didnt have the best eye sight at night. But he didnt hear any cows near them, nor the cows owner just yet.

"The birch lumber camp is always open, it's usually where everyone starts. The men over there work there, one is my brother." Aiman nodded to the loud and already half-drunk men at the other table. "Most from the lumber camp work other jobs too, so they can probably recommend you somewhere in town if you become friends with them. Otherwise I don't know, neither I nor my brothers have ever needed to get a job in town." she shrugged.

Natrye turned to look at the woman.Their green eyes, dull and subdued and quite possibly the only normal thing about their appearance, studied her while their mind went over all the stupidity that was twas.them not knowing where she was.
"Well you see,I'm trying to find someone and they said that if I ever needed them that I should go to some place called Genchai.Any idea as to how to get there?"

In the distance there was a small light, the lantern light by the farm. The farm was empty now with only grandfather Aibek inside. Kuzey couldn't see anything anymore either, and hoped to listen for the cow's calling. Once the sun's light was fully gone he'd have to turn back and continue searching in the morning. Aiman wouldn't be happy, he was just glad she wasn't here now.
The cow stumbled again on its way down the hill before standing defeatedly. It called again once before settling down, nudging the grass with its snout.

(Ah good luck with the rain.)
Abir nodded as he glanced towards the workers. He was strong enough to work in the lumber yard, however he was a skilled fighter. He was trained by a former knight and had skills that would be better suited for a guard. He would likely have to ask around for other jobs in the town. There were ultimately many people to ask, so the paladin wasn't worried. Odali on the other hand would likely have easier time finding a job. She was a fairly skilled and powerful wizard. There would be some use of her abilities somewhere.
As the night went along, the bard contiuned his tunes while Abir and Odali stayed with Aiman. She was quite helpful when it came to finding out what Genchai had to offer.
"Is there anything else that may be of importance to know?" Abir asked. He wanted to know as much as possible about the town. It was what he always did whenever the siblings entered a new place. -0- Astra nodded and stepped into the path, towards the angel. "Alright. Don't care about the reason but I can take you to Genchai. It's not that far from here, maybe half an hour to an hour journey." By that point, the half-elf had put away her bow and arrow. It was unlikely a fight would come, but she refused to let her guard down in case one broke out.
The woman signled for the stranger to follow as she began to head towards the direction of the town. Even through the rain and coming darkness, Astra still had some ability to see thanks to her elven heritage. She would be rid of the stranger in no time and could go back to her patrolling.

"Not that I can think of at the moment. Genchai isn't really anything of importance." Aiman said. "If you're looking for mercenary work you should seek out the lord's wife." She guessed by his armor and sword that he was some kind of soldier. Aiman had finished her third drink and swayed a little as she leaned back from the table, sighing. "I'm going to have to find a room in this damned place aren't I? Bad weather, darkness, no good condition to ride home."

Natrye walked after the half-elf and thought to themself. It certainly wasn't going to be a walk in the park finding this being and they sure as heck weren't going to bother searching the back roads and alleys to find the illusive prick. No,it'd be much easier to just lure him out.
They're mind then wondered to the current actions being hatched.Half of them wanted to strike up conversation with the girl but the other half wanted nothing to do with her.It balanced out though and gave them a neutral view of the circumstances If she wanted to talk they'd talk.If she wanted to go off and leave them they wouldn't mind.If she wanted to attack them they would fight back.

"Okay, thanks for answering my questions," Abir replied. A quiet settled over the table. The bard played, patrons had a merry time drinking, and the staff went from table to table taking orders or cleaning up. As staff passed by, the paladin managed to flag down a young woman.
"What do you have to eat, miss?"
"We have a beef stew available if you'd like," the woman replied. Abir turned to his companions.
"How does that sound?" He addressed both his sister and Aiman to see what they thought.
"I'm fine with whatever," Odali replied simply. The man nodded. -0- Astra contiuned to lead the stranger in silence. Occasionally she'd glance back at them to make sure they weren't up to anything shady. She communicated through simple gestures. The less she had to talk to the better off she was. After a while the pair reached the forest's edge. In the distance, the low lights of Genchai could barely be seen. They were close.
"Almost there. Come on," Astra simply stated. She contiuned on the path and checked to see if the stranger was following.

Natrye nodded as they continued on.They had started thinking about what they would do first once they got there.True they had to find this person but they'd need a place to stay. They thought about asking about somewhere that might offer shelter but discarded the idea,no way were they gonna get themselves into trouble so soon.

More time passed. More rain fell. The air only got cooler. The ground began to become muddy and more diffcult to walk through as the pair trudged on. The trees practically disappeared the closer they got to Genchai. Astra was glad to almost be rid of the stranger. Most of their trip had been filled by silence. It was how she liked things to be.
"We're here," the ranger mumbled once they entered the outskirts of town. Though normally busy very few people were out at that time. Those who were among the streets were likely heading g to the tavern for a drink. Perhaos she would stop by there to get one as well.

Rook sighed softly as the cow gave. "Come on, we must be close." Rook scanned the darkened field. At least it was a beautiful night. Rook then spotted it, a small speck of light. "Hey look at that." He said quietly. Rook turned back to the cow and padded its shoulder. "Just a bit further." He wasnt sure how he would lead a cow without a harness or lead but maybe the cow would see the light.
(So sorry about that I fell asleep.)

Astra only dipped her head in reply and watched the stranger go. Something was off about them, beyond their unusual appearence. It didn't sit right with the ranger, but it also wasn't her concern. The half-elf turned and headed towards the tavern. Guilt pricked in her stomach. She ignored it.
In the distance she could hear the music and booming voices of happy patrons. The warm lights of the tavern illuminated through the night, offering comfort and rest. She glanced back, green eyes flickering around for sign of the stranger. A nagging curiosity brgan to rise in her chest. Astra shook her head and contiuned forward.
The ranger reached the tavern door, ready to head in. She hesitated. She looked down the dark road again and clenched her fists. Muttering a few curses under her breath, Astra turned around and began to head where the stranger went. The lure of a warm drink ached, but she ignored the feeling. She was on the hunt to see who the newcomer was and if they were up to no good.
