Atlis followed behind basil, "i agree." His chest burned, he was afraid that he had upset the Princess, and if that was the case, he owed her a large apology. In her mind, he had overstepped with his questions, and he needed to make them right. As the two rounded the corner, he caught sigh of the princess. She looked as though she was talking to someone. Instinctively he grabbed Basil arm, stopping them. His heart began to race when he realized who Evanora was talking to. olwen! He thought, fear pulsing through his veins. He felt himself go pale, the halway turning into a blur. He was right, his father hda sent someone to come looking, and he sent the worse possible person. "Our Assassin." He breathed out the words, still holding onto Basils arm. Evanora turned her attention towards the foot steps that were coming through the hall. She should have known that dinner would be over at this point, so it was her own foolishness that had gotten the woman seen. She should have taken her to a room and talked there. Suddenly, a thought popped into her mind. "Your clothes do not match those of Crops. And even if you were a messenger, someone would have escorted you here." She let the words fall out of her mouth quietly. When she turned her head, she saw Atlis and Basil. Atlis seemed as though he were going to hit the ground. Evanoras heart race sped up. Something here was wrong.

The pair continued along their path through the hall, eventually turning a corner. He noticed Evanora almost as soon as Atlis did. She was talking to another woman. He didn't recognize her, though assumed her to be one of the staff judging by her clothing. Bazil moved forward slightly, ready to talk to his sister. He was stopped by grip on his arm and being lightly pulled back. The half-elf yelled in slight surprise as he glanced at the prince. He seemed worried, which made the prince's chest righten with concern.
"What?" He asked.
"Our assassian."
The words were simple and haunting. Evanora's talking to an assassian. Evanora is talking to an assassian! Bazil was frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. His sister could be in unspeakable danger and he was just standing there. Without thinking, he removed his arm from Atlis' grip and leapt forward.
"Evanora, come here!" He yelled. He didn't bother to hide the worry and fear in his voice as he watched the pair.
Olwen glanced between the girl- her name was apparently Evanora -and the man who called her. Judging by his appearemce he appeared to be a half-elf. Behind him, she saw a familiar mess of red hair and green eyes. Atlis, she thought. She glanced back at the curly-haired girl and backed up some more. Before she could say anything, the half-elf moved forward.
"Get away from her!" He hissed. His eyes blazed with anger and he seemed ready to attack her himself. Did he know what she was? She glanced back towards Atlis again. She had to talk to him. Somehow.

Evanora yelled in surprise, tears welling up in her eyes. The grip of Basis arm ws strong, just his voice was hushed. She looked at Atlis and hunched over. Something was wrong. Atlis stepped forward, his steel green eyes locked on the assassin. "Olwin." His voice was steady and laced with ice. the two had grown up together, but she had shortly disappeared once he was named an official heir of the throne. The boy looked her up and down. She wore the clothes of an assassin, yet she still looked like the child he knew. "Why are you here?" The words even more cold than the first. He was mad that she was here. He was upset that this was putting the safety of this whole kingdom at risk. "Why are you here?" He had a little knowledge of Assassin training, so he was careful not to step on her toes, seeing that they were in no way ready to fight her.

(That's good)
Bazil carefully pulled his sister towards him, trying not to hurt her. He was ready and willing to attack the woman. Qhen Atlis uttered the woman's name, he realized they knew each other. Were they once friends? Or perhaps they had always been enemies. The half-elf walked ahead of his sister, separating her from Olwen. He barely noticed Atlis moving forward. The iciness in the other prince's voice was they only way Bazil's attention was captured.
The coldness of Atlis' voice hurt Olwen. She didn't show it, but it was like daggers were being forced into her chest. She hated seeing the prince act the way he was. Of course that was the life of an assassian. No matter who she would talk to, it would always be that way. "Atlis. I'm here to bring you home." Her words were strong and even. She was relieved to see the prince was okay, but once more she didn't show it. She was an assassian. She had no friends and only missions to complete. Of course what she told him was a lie. She couldn't exactly tell him his mother was alive and asked her to bring him to her.
He didn't answer for a moment, so she stepped forward slightly. The half-elf glared at her. "Don't come one step closer, assassian!" He tensed as if he were ready to attack. Olwen paused and glanced over the three of them. Sighing, she pulled out her sword and let them clang to the floor beside her. She then proceeded to kick them away and step back from the weapons.
"I'm not here to hurt you- any of you really, okay? When I say I'm here to bring you home, Atlis, I mean it."
Bazil eyed the woman suspiciously. He wasn't inclined to believe her. She was likely lying. Of course he remained silent and only glances towards his sister and his new friend. Logically he should've called for Val or his father. Call for someone. However he remained foolishly silent.

Atlis stared dumly at his old companion. There were many questions racing through his head, making the floor below him seem to drop out from under him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Basil pull Evanora closer to him and father away from the assassin that stood in front of them. Atlis took a small step forward when Olwen drew out her swords and knives. The loud sound of them hitting the floor vibrated up his legs. He slwoly slid them farther away and crossed his arms. "What do you mean, take me home?" He asked, his green eyes showing little o no emotion. As the king made his way back to his bed chambers for the night, a large clanging noise, almost like a bunch of metal hitting the floor, caught his attention. With a frown he paused, seeing if maybe something was just knocked over. After waiting a few minutes, he decided to go scope things out, just to make sure all was well, after all, he couldn't be too safe now that a run away price had taken refuge in his kingdom. His steps were heavy. He rubbed his eyes and let out a loud yawn. Evanora hid behind Basil, her eyes never leaving tha face of the assassin. After all that had happened, she turned her head. "Dads coming." She squeaked, grabbing basils elbow.

Olwen eyed them all for a moment before turning her focus on Atlis. He approched her as she pulled out her weapons and kicked them further away after she dropped them. "I have been tasked by the king and the head assassian to bring you home. They're expecting me back in a few days and it would make things better for all of us if you come with me." She paused for a moment as she heard the heavy echo of footsteps behind the group. Someone else was coming. The assassian was stuck. Either she drive for her weapons and make the situation worse or she stayed where she was and hoped for the best. The ivory-skinned woman didn't show her unease at making a decision, but was worried.
Bazil felt a tug on his elbow as his sister grabbed him. She mentioned their father and sure enough he caught a glimpse of the king behind him. The prince glanced between Evanora, Atlis, and the assassin named Olwen. After a moment, he spoke up. "The kind would like to know more about this, assassian. You better be telling the truth because you won't like what we do to people like you." The threat was an empty one. They would simply throw her in prison and maybe send a message to the Virelith king. However she didn't know how their kingdom operated and it would work in their favor if she could simply imagine the trouble she got herself into.

The king heard hushed voices, and they didn't seem very happy. As the king rounded the corner he caught sight of the young royals. they seemed to be greatly disturbed, and whoever was with them did not seem like a friend. "What is going on here!" The king demanded. By the looks of it, the young girl that stood closest to Atlis did not seem to be from around here. The king stepped closer, nearly stepping on the assortment of knives and the sword that were on the floor.
After a few short seconds, the king deducted that this was the woman who was responsible for the loud clanging of metal that had caught his attention. The king turned his gaze towards Atlis. "What Is going on here." He demanded a second time. A Pang of fear bubbled up in Atlis stomach as he watched the king approach. He wsa not fond that Olwenhad just let herself into this castle so dangerously, and was even less fond that the king found the small group like this. Atlis looked at Owlen, something in his eyes flashed right before he spoke. "We were just trying to figure out who she was." A lie. He had really just lied to the king who had promised to help him. Evanora Stepped forward and laid a gentle hand on her fathers arm. "Father, we were just trying to see why she had entered the castle as you walked up. We're just as confused as you are." She was not going to let Atlis take all the blame for this, after all, she was the one who found Olwen in the fist place.

The king came into view as he turned the corner. The assassian quickly glanced at the group, but didn't move. The older man demanded to know what was going on. Atlis spoke up and...lied? Olwen subtly shifted her gaze towards the prince as he lied to the king. A spark of relief flashed through her, though she was also surprised he was dishonest with the royal. Why? She thought, her blue eyes still staring towards the redhead. The princess confirmed the man's words, which surprised the assassian further.
Bazil glanced towards Atlis, then his sister as she confirmed the prince's story. What are you doing? He thought as he eyed them. After a moment, he drew in a breath and nodded. "Yeah, exactly. So, as we were trying to figure out who are you, miss?"
Olwen carefully nodded and finally spoke up. "I apologize for all the trouble I've caused. And for the weapons. And for trespassing within the castle, I truly meant no harm. I was curious about job oppertunities that could be presented to me here." It was a quick and easy lie, though she didn't know if the king would be convinced of her words.

Something flittered around in Atlis stomach when the small group rallied behind his lie. A quick gleam shone in his eyes, his mind flashing a picture of him and Owlen playing in the Castle in virelth, when the two would get caught being to disruptive. It had been a sad time when Olwen was chosen t obe an assassin for the kingdom, Atlis knew that they could no longer be friends, since it would be to dangerous. Clouding up an assassins mind could do great harm in the area of their work. Atlis stepped back and looked up at the king. He made sure his eyes seemed innocent. He crossed his fingers behind his back, hoping that the king would not see through the small groups lie. Since the king had been friends with his father when he was younger, he was not sure how much the King knew about the Vireleth traditions and ways. The king put his hands on his hips. Something here was not right, but the energy that it would require to figure this all out had been drained from him when he had found that his son and Daughter had been hiding a fugitive royal in thee castle. The king searched the eyes of Atlis, and then Evanora, and lastly Basil. With a loud sigh the king turned to the girl and looked her up and down, assessing her. "You seem kind of frial, and a little small." He judged harshly. Although Atlis knew that having an assassin look outwardly like a common person was a smart move on his fathers judgement, he wasnt sure how Olwen would react. The king drew in a quick breath. "You should be punished for sneaking into the castle unwelcomed, especially at this time of day. Nonetheless, I can go speak with some of my higher ups and see what I could do for you." The king was feeling a little extra compassionate today, and the girl seemed to want to do no harm to anyone.

(That's good to hear! It's always nice to catch up with family, especially after so long.)
Normally Olwen would take offense to the frail comment, but she was currently facing a king in his own palace. She was also weaponless and could be taken prisoner in an instant if she weren't careful with how she presented herself. Beyond that, being percieved as a non-threat worked in her favor. She was underestimated by the king and being underestimated was rarely a bad thing. As King Sybil continued to speak, Olwen shrank back slightly. Most people would feel uncomfortable being snapped at by a man like the king and most would visually show it. She had to play that part to avoid his suspicion.
When the man mentioned he could see about getting her work, Olwen smiled and nodded. "Thank you, sir." Of course she wasn't there for work. She still had to get Atlis to his mother, though she wasn't entierly sure how she would go about that yet. She couldn't tell him his mother was alive. That wasn't her job. He also already made contact with the Zettan royal family and was clearly under their protection. It would be diffcult to sneak him out of the castle, especially if the prince and princess had anything to say about it. She glanced towards the king again, wondering if he would leave to give her a chance to talk to the others.
"I think that's a good idea, father. Perhaps I can even ask Val if she has any positions open tonight," the prince suggested. He didn't want to humor her, but they had already lied to the king. After everything they did today, it would be unwise to reveal who the ivory-skinned woman was. As he waited to see what his father would do, Bazil eyed the assassian. He wondered what her plan was and just how truthful she was being.

The king nodded his head. The girl seemed to be sincere about looking for a job, but the one thing that really threw him off is why she had all those weapons with her, and why she snuck into the castle this late in the evening. He turned and eyed Basil. "If i find out that you're here for a different reason than you say, the consequences for all of you will be great." Atlis blinked at the king and turned away. He was not sure what was going through Olwens mind, or anyone else in the group for that matter. He was sure of one thing, and that was he wanted olwen gone. Her being here made life more complicated for him. It meant that his father had noticed his absence, and was obviously not happy about it.

(I would've replied earlier, but I was out driving with my sister.)
"Of course, father," Bazil answered as the man left. Once he was out of sight, he turned towards the other three. He hated lying to his father and keeping the truth about some assassian underwraps. He didn't want to lie, but he also didn't want Atlis or Evanora to get into trouble either. After a moment, he leaned down and began to collect the weapons. They awkwardly fit in his arms and were surprisingly heavy, though he didn't let that stop him. Besides, he wasn't about to give this Olwen the means to take them out.
"It's unwise to talk out here, let's go to my study," he said simply. He gestered for the assassian to go first. He didn't trust that she would simply follow. He then began to go after her, guiding her towards his study, before signaling for his sister and the other prince to follow.
Olwen did as she was told. She truly wasn't there to harm them and she wanted to make sure they knew to trust her. At least trust her word that she wasn't there to hurt any of them. She began to head through the halls, listening to the half-elf as he directed her to his study.

Evanora followed closely behind Basil. She had grabbed Atlis hand without even thinking and headed towards the study of her brother. She had been unusually quiet since she had found the assassin, and something inside her made her feel as though she needed to do everything in her power to protect the young prince. Atlis stumbled toward the group and fell silent. He figured that trying to speak now would just make Basil more frustrated, and he had already caused more problems. He felt his face flush he saw that Evanora had him by the hand. (I am sorry, I am very disstrcted atm Theres a lot going on in my house atm )

(No worries, I hope everything isn't too stressful. If you need to or want to take a small break from the rp, feel free. Personal life comes first.)
The group quickly reached the study. Bazil gestered for the assassin to go in first, still not trusting her for obvious reasons. She responded with a roll of her eyes, though didn't protest ashe opened the door. They entered in before closing the door behind them. The prince signled for everyone to sit down before he pulled up his desk chair. He set the weapons on the other side of the room from Olwen. As he set them down, he got a good look at blades. They were well made and sturdy. Assassin's weapons of course. He narrowed his eyes before settling in. Bazil took a quick glance over the group, unsure how to go about the questioning.
The assassian slid in the seat closest to the closest she hid in earlier. If she needed to escape, she would just go back through the passages. She watched the half-elf prince carefully as he placed her weapons in the opposite side from her. She gave a small nod, it made sense he would want her weapons away. As everyone settled into their chairs, she eyed them. It was an skill that was hard to shake. The most important rule taught to assassians was to always keep an eye on your surroundings and the people around. Everyone was silent as if waiting for someone to speak first. Olwen usually didn't like to be that person, but she also had Eadrid waiting.
"So, what else is there to discuss?" She asked. Bazil turned his attention towards her, watching her. His expression seemed to say 'you don't have permission to speak'. She didn't care. He wasn't her boss.

(Oh no, we're good now. There was just a lot of people talking and things going on at once I couldn't concentrate.)
Atlis followed obediently and sat in the chair closest to Olwen. He placed his hands on the table as though he were at meeting with his own father. He watched how Basil and Evanora seemed to be the most uncomfortable, and rightly so; Olwen had never met them before, and seeing that she sneaked into the castle she deserved the scorn. "There is a lot to discuss." Atlis interjected before anyone else could answer. He turned his icy green eyes onto the assassin. He was not pleased with her, and even tho he was not in his kingdom, he still a slight edge over her. He was displeased with how she went about her orders, but what he was more interested in was trying to figure out why he was needed back home so urgently. Evanora sat next to basil, on the other side of Atlis. She had not seen Atlis so upset and cold before. She felt a shiver go down her spine. Between Atlis and his coldness and Basil with his magic, there was sure to be a fight. "I believe her when she says she came to bring you home..." Evanora spoke, her voice cracking to a whisper. "Afterall, we went over the possibility of this happening earlier with father..." She looked down at her feet, a subtle hint that she was not into a fight.
