(starter) Riverstar padded quietly through her forest, it was early morning and the heavy fog that curled around her paws would surely be burned away by the sun soon. But for now the leader would have to walk blindly through the forest. She sniffed the air. Nothing. It seemed the prey was huddled down in their burrows to keep warm. Riverstar sighed softly. Maplestripe sat in his den his large amber eyes glued into the large pile of herbs he was sorting, leaf fall was almost here and he needed to store as many herbs as he could before frost killed them all. Maplestripe shivered as he thought of the cold frosty nights. He hated snow. Beetlefur sat just out side the warriors den, her eyes narrowed into two small slits as she watched Flurrykit and Blizzardkit play in the early morning fog, she muttered to her self before pulling herself to her paws and padded off towards the camps entrance. She muttered softly as she padded out into the crisp forest. Blizzardkit and Flurrykit giggled loudly as he tussled and tackled eachother, their snowy white pelts quickly becoming covered in leaf litter and sticks. They had not noticed Beetlefur watching them. Blizzardkit giggled and tackled Flurrykit to the ground. The smaller she-cat quickly pulled away and cuffed her larger brother. "Mom said to me less rough!" She squeaked. Quailshine was dozing out side of the nursery while her mate was on patrol.

{I will add more characters, I just have to get off now} Mistpetal padded up to Beetlefur from a bush she was finishing checking for prey, flicking her tail in a warm greeting. Her fluffy gray fur blew slightly in a cold breeze, making her look like a cloud. "Greetings, Beetlefur. I see you are out for a nice walk? Or are you hunting, or patrolling? You shouldn't do it alone," She added. "May I accompany you? We might find some good prey if you know where to look."

(alright! thank you for joining!)
Beetlefur took a step back as Mistpetal emerged from the bush, she had been so caught up in her mutterings she didnt notice the other she-cats sent until now. She really wasn't in the mood to be dealing with other cats at the moment. Her amber gaze watched Mistpetal for a second. With a soft almost inaudible sigh she nodded softly. "Sure." She said softly. "I'm going to Leapers Gorge, i saw a couple crows hanging around there yesterday." She added softly.

"Crows are too bitter for my picky senses," Mistpetal exclaimed, her nose twitching. "But last time I was there, a few Starlings were hanging around a particular ledge up there. I think there's a jackpot!" She exclaimed and licked her lips, thinking of the delicious birds around Leaper's Gorge. "Race you there!" She suddenly charged to the direction of the gorge, cherishing the biting cold breeze that threaded between her fur and the smooth way she leaped over fallen tree trunks. Not too cold, either. Why doesn't everyone enjoy this weather? Great for running and building muscles!
{Med app right here! He just got his medicine cat name btw} Nightfire stumbled out the medicine cat den, and groggily slowed to a stop to survey his surroundings. "Another cold day? What is it, Leafbare? I seem to have forgot." He whispered to himself as he headed to his medicine garden in camp. It was a small clump of poppies, catmint, nettle, and other various things all in one small space in the corner of camp. Nightfire had planted some bindweed a few moons ago, and was now nipping off one of the little flowers that had sprouted. He took some poppyseeds and carried them to his den, then went back to find more medicine that could be useful at the time. Nightfire picked over his choices, checking their condition and their growth carefully. He did not want any bad medicine. Who would, anyway?

Beetlefur watched Mistpetal run off. The sleek black cat really wasnt use to this she-cat enthusiasm. Most cats tried to avoid her. Beetlefur smiled slightly and took off after Mistpetal. It took Beetlefur a bit to catch up to her. "Be careful, you dont want to run right off into the gorge." She called over to the other she-cat.
"Herbs are icky." A small voice called from behind Nightfire. Two small scraps of white fur were just behind him. Flurrykit and Blizzardkit. "Amberstripe once gave me this herb and it tasted like dirt." Blizzardkit giggled softly. Flurrykit shook her head. "Yeah, super icky." She squeaked.

"Well, if you get to know them better, you won't think they are icky." Nightfire turned to the two kits, dropping his little bunch gently onto the ground to speak more. "They are supposed to be good for you. That doesn't mean that you have to like it, it will keep you healthy and happy." Nightfire went on, watching the kits with a steady yet welcoming glow. "If you want to learn more about them, just ask Amberstripe, or me! Or, not. If you still want to think they're icky, then go ahead, I can't stop you." He picked up his herbs and looked as if he were about to pad away to the medicine cat's den.
