basically, there are these "Conduits." They each have the ability to control a form of energy/element like neon, smoke, video, concrete, paper, etc. some use their powers for their own personal benefit, as being a conduit gives them quick healing and strength more powerful than an army, but a select few see their powers as something different. they see how they could help the world and become heroes.

hmmm that sounds interesting, i'd be willing to give it a go. as long as you realize you'd probably be holding my hand through most of it, as this is not really my place. do you have any plots for it or just plop our charries down and go?

would you rather do a more anarchical city, or would you rather do one where the D.U.P. (department of unified protection) has taken over the city? The D.U.P. units are conduits, but not prime conduits like normal. they got their powers from the head of the D.U.P. who was a prime conduit.

I'm totally chicken, but because this doesn't require much further explanation I'll go with anarchical city. XD

||Dixon Maizer||Male||14 (can be adjusted)||Shadows/Smoke(???)||Dixon stands at about 5 feet 6 inches, towering over his younger-by-a-minute sister. Dixon has golden blonde hair with an undercut, leaving the back and sides of his head slightly shaved and the top with regular length hair. Dixon has a duller jade green for his rounder eyes. Dixon likes cargo shorts and a graphic t-shirts with his choker necklace from his parents of a crescent moon.||Dixon Maizer a true free spirit, sitting with any crowd, curious and intuitive. His ability to sit in with anyone makes him very independent considering himself the master of his own fate. Dixon is a very talkative person, willing to talk to any who'll listen to his opinion and gives their own opinion back. Not really one for schedules, he sometimes is late for class, and takes frequent "bathroom breaks". Teachers most definitely don't appreciate that. Dixon seems to pick up on things certain things like shifts of mood and shifts of relationships or dynamics. That doesn't mean Dixon doesn't do anything but watch, quite the opposite in fact. Dixon is quite the ball of energy and enthusiasm, which probably fuels the talkativeness and his insatiable curiosity. Which leads to many ideas that his peers would call "farfetched." He doesn't give up on the idea most of the time. He just leaves it to be pondered at another date. Dixon also has a bad habit of letting things get to him. This would be normal except he doesn't let the anger out slowly, instead bottling it up and releasing it all at once, making him highly emotional.||Not much of a history other then the fact that he and his sister had an argument and things ended badly, making him leave the house.||Has a twin sister. || honestly I just pulled these out of storage so sorry if they don't really make a whole bunch of sense, he's originally from harry potter world but I use him for many things.

||John Schwartz||male||15||Metal||John is a shorter teen with brown hair, blue eyes, and normally wears a t-shirt and jeans. ||John is kind, brave, but socially awkward. He isn't necessarily "nerdy," but he is strange and very spontaneous. ||John began showing signs of his conduit powers during his freshman year of high school. After he was discovered by the military, they attempted to transport him to a military facility, but the vehicle broke down and he escaped first chance he got. He made his way towards a small city nearby, known as New Morais, but was startled to find it's police force almost completely destroyed and thugs and low lives running the city. ||N/A||

John stepped into the alleyway and hid behind a few cardboard boxes. peeking out from behind his cover, He saw an armed man dressed in a pair of baggy pants, a long sleeve shirt, and a handkerchief around his face. He could hear more voices as well, though he saw nothing. Those have got to be those drug dealers that cop was talking about. He thought. Stepping out from behind his cover, the man drew a small pistol. "Yo kid!" He shouted angrily. "What're you doin' here!" reaching out with his arm, John drained the metal from a garbage can sitting against the wall. the garbage inside spilled out as the can almost liquified and streamed into John's hand. The drug dealer fired three rounds at John, all of which bounced off. "Stand down." John ordered. "If you don't want shrapnel in your leg, surrender." "Okay!" the dealer said, laying down his gun. Walking over to the man, John binded the man's arms and legs and left him on the ground. John turned when he heard shouting behind him. Looking, he saw the other dealers, about 10 of them, streaming through the alley, more heavily armed than the man he just subdued. "It's him!" One yelled. "It's the conduit! Get 'em!" Loud bangs sounded as they fired their guns. John leaped for cover behind the corner, peaking out every few moments to fire a few pieces of metal at his attackers. "This is no use." John said to himself. "There's too many of them."

Dixon strolled along enjoying the nice and quiet Wednesday it was. Until of course the druggies came along. Heaving a sigh he ducked into the alley way they had ran into, immediately warping the shadows around him to cover him in complete darkness. Glancing at the predicament the young man had just gotten himself into he huffed. This would be tough to get them both out unrecognized, of course the other boy, John, was well known pretty much everyone was searching for him. Dixon? Well, no one had even considered kind hearted, easy going Dixon. He intended to keep it that way. Standing behind the crates and slowly inching towards the boy, he formed a wall of shadows between the boy and the drug dealers. Agilely stepping behind the corner as well he hissed out of the corner of his mouth, "Shoot them if you can see them."

"Another conduit?" John asked. "Nice trick." He looked around the corner and could faintly see the outline of the dealers. "Stand back!" He shouted, running out from behind his cover towards the attackers. dropping into a crouch, John placed his hands on the ground. A large piece of metal jutted out of the ground, propelling him upwards. flipping in mid-air, John turned so he was falling head-first towards the ground with his fists above his head. When he hit the ground, a wave of metal went flying everywhere, hitting most of the visible drug dealers. "We can't fight two of 'em!" One of the remaining dealers shouted. "You all can stay if you want, but I'm out of here!" One by one, the thugs broke position and ran, some jumping into near by cars, while others ran down the sidewalk and vanished in other alleys. Turning towards the other conduit, John said, "Thanks for the assist. In case you haven't heard the gossip or seen the local news at all, I'm john."

Dixon had to stop himself from cursing, rather loudly at the other boy totally exploiting him. It's not like I was trying for stealth or anything. Noooo not at all, he ranted in his head while dropping the shadow shield with ease. Dixon also had to stop himself from rolling his eyes at John. Studying him he was a shorter guy, with blue eyes, matching the pictures perfectly. "Yes, yes, I'm Dix, or Dixon, shadow manipulator," he answered in a bored tone before continuing, "Can we move?" He darkened the shadows they were in hoping to keep them hidden, as if John's shout hadn't given them away. Dixon let his hands fall easily into the pockets of his tan cargo shorts, watching John intently.

(good night!)
"We should probably get out of here." John suggested. "If I know anything about the criminals in this city, they won't be gone for long. They'll try to hit us with all they've got and believe me when I tell you that they are more powerful then you could ever imagine." He pointed the palm of his right hand at the top of a building. A large metal spike shot out of his hand, rapidly growing longer until it fastened itself into the roof of the building. "Coming?" John asked as he was pulled upward.

"Show off," Dixon muttered as he allowed himself to get wrapped up in the shadows from the building. Finding the shadows from the loud air conditioner on the building he disembodied himself and pulled himself to the shadow behind the air unit. He dropped the shadows and leaned casually against the unit, hiding the effort it took for him to shadow travel. Unlike the people who he took with he didn't usually get disoriented when he traveled, only fatigued. "Why on the top of the building though?" he queried, shooting an angry glare at the sun. ((back for a while. mornings never were promising. XD ))

(I'm here.)
"The army, those thugs we just fought, pretty much any non-conduit is going to have trouble pursuing us by rooftop." John explained. "Plus, there is a clear view from up here that allows you to follow and spy on someone without being seen or heard." Turning away from Dixon, John began running towards the edge. with an enormous leap, John launched himself off of the building, soared over a alley maybe 50 feet below, and landed on another roof below. "We should get going!" John shouted back to dixon. "You've been seen. They may not know what you look like, but they know there's another conduit in town. They'll be looking for you."
