Vixen [ Hazel ]
Vixen felt the heat burn deep into her ruddy fur. It felt as if the sun touched the ground, any moisture dried away into nothing and left the green of summer brown and ugly. Her time should be spent with Thorn going through the training that she would focus on for the next moon or two. The female couldn't help but feel frustrated about fetching moss. Why didn't Thorn spend more time with her? Soon, Vixen would leave for a moon to survive. If her mentor didn't teach her anything would Beholder even let her leave? Whiskers twitched as she padded next to Hazel. The older cat would leave before she did. It would be hard not having Hazel for an entire moon and even harder not to ask her what happened when Hazel returns.
"I don't see why we need to be out anyways." Vixen huffed, "It's too hot for moss. It will be all dried and crusted by the time we get it back to the camp." Her tail swayed behind her, tip twitching. "And besides, moss should be left for the younger apprentices."

Hazel - Vixen
While there was some truth to Vixen's words, Hazel didn't seem to be so bothered that they were the ones retrieving the moss. She'd rather be doing this in the heat than training in the heat. Maybe that wasn't the best mindset to have considering that she'll be leaving for her assessment soon. A whole moon to survive on her own, not knowing what will be waiting out there for her. Hazel frowned slightly and shook the thought from her head, it wasn't something she liked to dwell on often, always leaving her feeling a little sick to her stomach.
"Maybe the moss by the river won't be so bad, plus last I heard Kale was on tick cleaning duty and Smoke can't go out without her mentor yet." Hazel explained to Vixen. It wasn't long before she began to recognize the familiar scent of the river, but couldn't hear it's rushing waters. That was a bit concerning to Hazel but she wasn't about to question it just yet. "We're already here anyways, maybe if we're fast enough we can take short swim." The calico said excitedly, picking up the pace of her pawsteps. Pushing past the forest foliage, the two finally came across the river, but what Hazel found was a complete shock.
The once current heavy river was now barely reaching its shores. Hazel had never seen its water levels so low, nor its currents so slow. To say it was shocking was an understatement, and the older apprentice had no idea what to do.

Wolf [ awoo ]
With a squeak of surprise, Wolf was picked up gently by his mother and placed down between her long legs. He wasn't dirty! For the morning while she was away, the male was hunting through the moss nests around the nursery den. It wasn't his fault that he had long fur. If Storm knew how well he had gotten at his crouch, he wouldn't need to be groomed. Trying to make himself as small as possible, eyes pinched closed as her tongue swiped over him.
"Beholder won't be able to say no!" Wolf grumbled, "I have the best pounce. Silver doesn't even hear me stalk her anymore." The male was bigger than his sisters, often using that to push and play with them. It wasn't a bad thing. Silver and Rain were just kits and cried too much about it.

The meticulous upkeep of her sons thick coat took effort, but was something the slender healer insisted on. If only the trio weren’t insisted on plowing through every moss pile within a ten Foxlength radius of the nursery. She rasped her tongue across his small frame, a rumbling purr pulling free of her lips as she listened to his squeaks of indignation and complaint. “You shouldn’t be so keen to grow up, little one,” she scathed firmly, but the affection filled glint of her gaze gave away the lack of meanness to her words. “All us grown cats have responsibilities, like keeping you three mouse brains fed and clean,” she added with a twitch of her whiskers. “You three get to laze around as much as you want, without a care in the world.” A part of the queens insistence’s were admittedly selfish, she didn’t want her little ones hurled into the battlefield so little, she could barely picture the three as warriors, let alone let her head get around just how big they’d gotten in the week they’d been alive. Finishing her work, her gaze distracted by sounds from outside of the den but remained unmoved. “If it’s any consolation little one, all of your hunters crouches are likely much better than anything I might manage,”Storm purred. Her talents lay in hunting herbs, a much easier target with a greatly smaller chance of running away. “If you are indeed that good, why don’t you show me, Tiny.” She released her grip, letting the Tom free of her grooming attempts.

{Hi ima just..yeet a few cats in I hope I'm in the right spot}
{Smoke} The young she-cat had already been awake since the first stretch of sunlight was upon the circle, she planned on doing a few task before her mentor found her but now she found herself picking out bedding from her fur. She cursed having long fur, it always was in her way of her duties. She finally freed the final piece of matted bedding and breathed a sigh of relief for her. She picked herself up off the ground and made her way to the fresh-kill pile. The prey wasn't for her, of course, it would be for the elder's. She wasn't sure if they had already ate but it would still be nice gesture. {Moose} The tom was making his way to the nursery but stopped himself. He looked over to the fresh-kill pile and wondered about bringing Storm some prey from on top. He nodded to himself and headed over, picking up a plump mouse that was hopefully fresher than the rest of the prey. He took the prey with him to check on his mate and maybe see how Dawn was doing, she was only four moons old but it didn't mean he couldn't check on the kit. He stood outside the nursery for a few heartbeats, wondering if he should announce himself or not. "Storm? I brought a piece of prey for you." He whispered, not knowing if his kits would be asleep at this hour or not. {Sorry they're short ;-; }

Vixen
Vixen wasn't so sure that a swim would cure her own worries and aggravations. Besides, swimming wasn't her strength. The female was better during the night hunts and training she did with Thorn. The few moons of protection training she did was wonderful. It was almost like an entirely different world once the moon and stars rose in the sky. Although, she was trained in swimming it wasn't her favorite thing to do. Padding onward, Vixen couldn't understand why Hazel was so keen on getting her paws all wet. The only other cat like that was Saber.
Moving closer to the river, a usual day would mean thoughts of creatures like rabbits and birds fluttering to and fro but there was none. Vixen felt a pang of apprehension. What could it mean if even the prey was too hot to move? The trees broke and the river came into view.
"What in the Stars?" Vixen could barely understand. The river was never this low! That's why the animals weren't around anymore. Vixen ran forward, stepping onto the usually shore of the river.
"It's nearly dried all up." She muttered, glancing back at Hazel with worry. "What does this mean?"

Wolf
Wolf puffed out his chest with pride. It felt great that his mother cared so much for him and the Circle. She was the best Healer ever. Even the Beholder couldn't match her skills. He wondered if maybe Rain or Silver would be the next Healer or one of Venom's kits. He was happy to have them to share and play the nursery with even if they were bigger than him. Bigger didn't mean Wolf didn't constantly try to one up them one everything. He had to be the best.
Leaping from beneath her paws, Wolf moved to a cleaner area. He had to make sure there was enough room for him. If he fell and embarrassed himself, would she even let him become a warrior? No, he would make Wren and Moose and everyone proud. Wolf, lowered himself into a crouch, his black tail sticking straight up in the air. Just as he was about to pounce, his father poked his head into the den.
"Moose watch this!" Wolf squealed.

I love Wolf so much Pudge. The queen’s gaze lifted at the entrance of an intruder into the den, her frame tensing until she spotted the source, at which point the young mother merely let out a welcoming purr. “I’m surprised to see you awake so early,” she teased, rubbing her muzzle across his flank in warm greeting. “How’s the hunting?” Storm queried with a twitch of her tail, “As you can see, I’m sure,” her tone was lilted and entirely playful, “we have the circle’s best hunter on our paws already, no doubt one day he’ll be able to feed the entire clan in a single hunt.” Her whiskers twitched in amusement when, as if with the sole purpose of proving her point, their son stumbled through the nest in a rather lopsided attempt at the hunters crouch.

Storm, with kits and Moose. rose ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » PudgeCat ☾ѕησσzє☽ Though she didn’t move her gaze from the antics of her son, the queen was aware of her mate manoeuvring something towards her, and from the tantalising scent dancing across her tastebuds and embedding itself in her nostrils, she could guess as to what it was. Her gaze softened a shade with gratitude, nursing was a more energy draining task than she had initially presumed, and whilst she had already eaten the tell tale ache if hunger was working its way through her, a tick in her fur sheer strength of will power alone wouldn’t itch. But still she felt rude for taking more than her fair share, something she had scathed queen’s for before, Storm now found herself quite the hypocrite. Still, hungry kittens wasn’t something she’d quicjky allow, and low milk stores would help nobody. Thus her response was a quiet, “Thankyou Moose,” she touched her nose to his ear. Storm knew he couldn’t spend as much time as he wanted with his new family, but the efforts he showed were greatly appreciated.
(Sorry if I take a while to respond,I’ve opened a den to code on when bored, and keep getting carried away XD why did I let myself do this?!)

Finch & Cotton // Oak Grove [ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 ]
The sleek black tom dug his claws into the tree branch as he stalked forward. His yellow gaze focused intently on the bushy tail belonging to the squirrel that still hasn't spotted him. Finch stepped lightly and wiggled his haunches before giving a powerful push off and leaping into the squirrel. His claws hit the squirrel and the tree branch uniformly and he gave the squirrel a sharp yet swift nip to the neck.
The young tom straightened up with a proud gleam in his eyes. He glanced down the tree, trying to to gauge whether he should try to climb down with the squirrel or just drop it from this height. He flickered his tail and plopped down on the tree branch, deciding to give himself a break. It was still hot even with the shade of the oak tree.

rain | nursery | 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ☾ѕησσzє☽ PudgeCat
Bright blue eyes blinking open, and lifting a gray paw in the air, Rain awoke. Reluctance hugged her lids and their immediate instinct was to shut again, and the she-kit was almost ready to allow them to return back to bliss, but she stopped suddenly. There seemed to be a certain absence around her, and - lifting her gray head - it was confirmed. Wolf seemed to be up already - having started his typical antics, while her mother and father seemed to be conversing gently. The familiar scent of prey lifted around her, dancing gently through the warm air. Getting to her paws, she approached the item - a rabbit. Despite the smaller size of it, the animal was not much smaller than herself, and - at the realization - a pang of insecurity hit the gray molly in a wave. Puffing out her chest in an (admittedly) sad attempt to make herself look larger, she began her remaining minuscule travel to the small brown animal.
Rain dropped her head at the side of the rabbit; she was certainly far from old enough to stop enjoying the warmth of her mother's milk, but to the she-cat, the facts didn't matter. "Can I have some?" she asked gently, turning more so towards her father, Moose. He's sure to be more lenient, right? She turned to eye Wolf quickly. He better not steal my ideas!

Storm - x - Moose and Kits, rose PudgeCat ☾ѕησσzє☽ ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » Her attention had been focused so firmly in the antics of her son, the young healer hadn’t noticed her daughter rouse from the depths of slumber. Turning her head at the sound of a quiet squeak from beside the still warm rabbit. Storm lowered her head to nuzzle Rain in greeting, tickling the grey kits ears with an adoring purr to the tiny shekit. Eyes lighting with a mixture of sympathy and amusement at the kittens adorable attempt to seem bigger, the queen herself was a naturally small cat, but understood the pains of being around a much larger littermate. Whilst Storm verbalised none of that thought process, she cuddled her daughter closer with a soft sigh, rasping her tongue across the kits ears. The healer’s eyes narrowed at Rain’s request, transforming from a caring mother to a concerned healer within the heartbeat. She watched her daughter, contemplating for a moment. “Your a bit sm...” she made a quick and decisive change of tact upon realising her choice of words would likely be construed as unkind. “You three are young to be trying prey, don’t you think?” Around a patient she would have been more matter of fact, but Storm was notably softer around the dependent trio. “I don’t want to wake up to a soiled nest and sick kits,” she added with a quiet pyrr. “Is my milk so revolting you’d rather try prey?”
