(the scary thing about someone being on this thread and watching bungou stray dogs is that they can criticize how in- or out-of-character my writing for Ranpo and Chuuya is) (noooo, you're doing fine!! i'm only just about to finish the first season.)

Avocato tried to scramble out from where the stone walls had begun to surround him, but stopped as little Cato charged the rifle. "Don't even think about it." the younger ventrexian stated, moving closer. Avocato eyed down Little Cato, menace in his eyes.
"You're a disgrace." Avocato spat out. "You're no son of mine."
Little Cato watched as the stones completely surrounded his father. Even if he tried, there'd be no way his father could get out of that by himself. slinging the rifle over his shoulder, Little Cato called out to his father through the stone walls. "I don't know what that thing is that's inside of you, but I promise I'll find a way to get you back, dad. No matter what I have to do."

(I get more literate when I'm on the computer. I also have longer posts for some reason. also, my typing might take longer than normal because I have a cut on my left index finger, my left thumb is jammed and my left pinky is either sprained or broken, so I'm essentially typing with just my right index finger.)

Bolin let out a sigh when he realized Avocato probably wouldn't be causing any trouble any time soon, "Do we just leave him there?"
(That sounds extremely painful o.o hope you'll get better soon
Sorry my posts are short I'm just not feeling well lately)

"I think it's a being called Invictus." Little Cato explained in a rather non-reassuring tone. "We don't know too much about it, but apparently it's old. Like, beginning of the universe old. A while back, my friends and I met the Arachnitects, the beings who apparently created the universe. They created the titans, which are also super powerful, but no where near as powerful as the Arachnitects or Invictus. Invictus somehow poisoned the titans' minds, like what happened to my dad. I'm not really sure exactly what Invictus is or how powerful it is, but for the past few months we've been fighting to prevent Invictus from escaping final space and entering our dimension, because if Invictus does get out, we're all gonna die. I know it can jump from person to person. That's how my dad got, well, you know. It jumped from Gary to my dad, and there was nothing we could do to stop it."

(now that -M- / Ginger is watching bungou stray dogs i gotta watch my spoilers, lol.) (so...our game plan. is Invictus gonna try and possess one of them? In the lore of the show is it ever explained how to, idk, exorcise/banish Invictus completely?) Chuuya gave a wary glance at the prison of earth that Bolin Jr. had formed. It seemed sturdy, but maybe not sturdy enough to hold back something like Invictus, if that entity was as powerful as Little Cato said. "So, what? If we kick it outta him, is the thing just gonna try and possess one of us?" Is it even worth trying, then? Chuuya was confident in his own ability to fight an invader like that, but he wasn't sure about his allies.

(it's never been said how to get rid of Invictus, as Invictus "possessing" characters is a recent development. It originally took over Gary, but it didn't share consciousness with Gary, as during the fight little Cato told Gary to snap out of it, and Invictus said "Gary isn't here." When Avocato pinned Gary, Invictus said through Gary "your vessel is stronger than this one. I'll take you instead." Avocato seems to have a stronger will power than Gary, hence why Invictus is kind of forced to share consciousness with him. Invictus does seem intent on claiming the most powerful vessel, but Invictus also isn't physically in their dimension. It's still trapped in final space, but it is capable of influencing people from the other side, as long as it has some way to get through. I'll post in a minute. Gotta get my laptop)

(hmm, okay, cool. at the risk of sounding like im bragging, i think chuuya is pretty powerful, but idk how to assess Relative Power Levels with characters that are so different lol) (some spoilers abt his character revealed in s3 below - since he was created, basically, to be a vessel for the fire/destructive god/entity Arahabaki, Chuuya has almost always fought like he's invincible, even with Arahabaki mostly dormant in him. That's why he keeps his gloves on and mostly fights without using his hands -- as a form of self-restraint. If he lets Arahabaki take control, basically, his gravity power becomes a lot stronger, like he makes little black holes and basically goes berserk with gravitons. But when he's in that state he'll just keep destroying things until he dies - the only way we know he can do this at all is there's another character whose ability is to nullify others' gifts, so that character has always been there to keep Chuuya from straight-up dying. He kinda has a distaste for Arahabaki even though it's the reason he even exists...so knowing that another, kiiiiinda similar entity that can move hosts is out there might influence how he sees the whole situation. Like he knows how it feels to not be oneself in one's own body, on one hand. On the other hand he is a bastard and generally not an incredibly empathetic person. So... Idk why exactly I am further explaining this, just-- i feel like I need to expand on the lore haha (good lord i wrote a novel)

Bolin Jr covered his head with his hands, "I don't want to be possessed by weird spirit demon things" he mumbled, maybe if Korra was here she could do some kind of spirit bending calming thing to make it go away, but she wasn't so...
(So we are getting someone else possessed right? That's where we're going? Sorry I'm forgetful lol)

"I don't know." Little Cato admitted. "I think if we can free my dad without being near him, Invictus will have nowhere to go, but the problem is we still don't have a way to get Invictus out." Little Cato paused for a minute, trying to think. "If we found someone else around here, we could force invictus into them, perhaps. At least my dad would be free, but we'd still have to either kill or subdue whoever gets taken." He looked back and forth at the others, seeing if they received the plan positively."

(I'm still wanting someone to get possessed, whether it be one of our main three or another character we add in.)
(Also, chuuya seems like a Valkyrur level OP. I'm referring to the Valkyria chronicles games. The Valkyrurs are literally able to take a tank shell to the face casually and if they do happen to be outmatched, which is extremely rare, can do something called the Valkyrur's final flame where they essentially go super saiyan, then generate a nuke level explosion. In the first game, one did that and destroyed the entirety of the army that the main characters are a part of, except they were militia so they were seperated from the actual trained army.)

Bolins heartbeat started to race more, "So uh...basically you're saying someone has to die? That is what he's saying right?" He asked looking back and forth between the two "I mean...maybe if someone else was evil I wouldn't mind then getting possessed..." He started but immediately felt bad as soon as it came out of his mouth

(that works for me, we can figure out more as we go along. and hah, yeah, he's....unfairly OP. i like to think some of his power is weakened just by being in this world, or something. if you're curious here's a quick clip of him using that super destructive ability...complete with battle cries and evil madman laughter. )

(If no one wants to do it, I might be able to throw a new dynamic into it. I could potentially bring in Eragon and Saphira from the Inheritance cycle. Eragon would be super overpowered though, so I'd have to dial him down a little bit. Saphira is a dragon, so there's not much you can really change there. They're both mentally linked, though, so it would be an interesting dynamic to see one of them get possessed and the other would have to essentially close themself off. Honestly, though, they might actually be able to beat invictus. Eragon has the ability to cast magic and break into people's minds, as well as defend his, so combined with Saphira, he might be able to counter invictus. it'd be weird though. If y'all are interested, I'll give some more explanation of Eragon's abilities because he can literally kill people by speaking a couple words to cast a spell to pinch an artery. He killed the main bad guy by casting a spell to make him feel empathy for the people he's hurt, and the dude essentially cast a spell to split his own atoms, causing a nuclear explosion) )

(if I brought Eragon into the picture, we could have a showdown between him and possessed Chuuya. Two extremely overpowered characters duking it out. You could also bring in another good character to open up the group dynamic a little bit.)

(Yes. It doesn't outright take over its host, but rather "poisons" their mind and manifests on their insecurities and manipulates them into doing what it wants them to do. kind of like how schizophrenics are sometimes influenced by voices in their heads, except this voice is trying to get them to do its bidding. It is implied in the show that invictus took over all but one of the titans by poisoning their minds like this, but the last free titan, Bolo, trapped them all in final space.)
