Graydans eyes went wide as they remembered that Beetlejuice had written his name for them, "Oops, I totally forgot. This is Beetlejuice, he's a total weirdo" the keyblade master whispered the last part
"As for leadership unless someone shares the role with me I'm not sure if I could. I'm more of a hack and slash than a thinker"

Beetlejuice grinned gratefully at Graydan, then snapped his attention towards Ranpo. "Uh, kinda, sure. I'm dead." He explained lazily, smirking a bit at the man in front of him.

"Dead? No kidding, huh?" he cocked his head, curious. How strange. "Well, I've seen dead people. I've solved murders, after all. But none of them ever had a conversation with me!" Ranpo laughed. Beetlejuice had said it casually, and in such a way that Ranpo could figure the others probably weren't dead; this wasn't some strange afterlife, in other words.
"So," he said, a thoughtful finger on his chin. "You seemed surprised when you saw me. So I figure you all haven't seen anyone else in this place, yet? And you're pretty new to each other, too?"

Beetlejuice scowled lazily at Graydan's comment, "It's a curse." He huffed, then flipped upside down, obviously bored with talking. Still, he spoke to Ranpo, "I mean, I'm dead, but I'm also a demon. Plus, people like you can't usually see ghosts and the such. It's this place." He motioned at the area around them with a hum.
"Nope. This place is a ghost town." He snickered at the irony, then continued, "No one else around."

Graydan put their hands up in defense and shrugged a little.
"These two were the first I saw after I made my way down the road" they replied pointing at Beetlejuice and MIke lazily
"If I'm being honest I'd like to move off this road before we run into someone else that might be a little more....unfriendly."
If they were being honest they were getting a little bit of the creeps right about now
"But I am curious so do carry on, what's this special ability of yours?"
(I love Ranpo rn tho lol)

Beetlejuice just blinked at the man as he rambled on about being special. "No. I mean alive." He deadpanned, shaking his head in amusement. He couldn't help but burst into a fit of giggles at the man's desperation to be special. Seemed that was all breathers cared about nowadays. The demon glanced over at Graydan as he spoke, then snapped his head towards Ranpo, "Yeah, why so ya think your special?"

Ranpo was happy to move somewhere more secluded, where they'd be less vulnerable, as long as someone else picked the place. "Well," he said, grinning and reaching for his glasses. When he remembered they were gone from his pockets, he frowned and folded his arms. Still, he could tell them about his ability, even if he wasn't able to activate it. It's pretty impressive. I wish I could show them, and figure out a way for us to all get home... But he brought the proud smile back to his face. "It's called Super-Deduction. I need my glasses for it, but I can look at any situation, especially a crime, and put the pieces together in seconds. I've helped arrest a number of killers by using it." |

Graydan nodded at everyone before heading further down the road, although everyone was slightly behind them they could still hear Ranpo and Beetlejuice talking clearly, while glancing at Mike now and again.
"So say if somehow you got separated from the group. And then Mike or Beetlejuice killed me. You're telling me your magic glasses could tell you which of them did it?"
The keyblade master really shouldn't have been so skeptical after all his world had magic of all sorts but still
(Ranpos so cute omg)

My ability's a part of me, obviously. "But yeah. Easy. It's already narrowed down to two culprits anyway." (i was going to say he'd say that it was probably the dead demon rather than the random teenage boy that would be more likely to commit murder. but then i remembered the 'dislikes common sense' thing haha) |

Beetlejuice watched their conversation with amusement. "So, you have magical glasses." He summarized, a lazy grin on his face. He looked out at the area around them with a light frown, tipping his head to the side.

Beetlejuice shrugged, "Never said they wouldn't help." He grumbled lightly, twisting so that he was upright and allowing himself to touch to ground. Instead of going away from the creepy looking buildings, as normal people do, the demon started towards them, an eyebrow raised in curiosity.
