The water roared loud.
Louder.
It seemed to scream as it rushed past, knocking everyone off their paws. Yowls were drowned out as the flood swept by, taking with it those who couldn't get to higher ground, or just couldn't hold their own against the force. Slatepetal, one of the medicine cats, was taken by the waters. His paralyzed back legs would never have gotten him off the ground in time. Nightwing and Duckstep, the two apprentices, were taken too - they'd jumped after their mentor, but hadn't gotten to him in time. They never saw the second wave coming.
TorrentClan has lived by the river and the lake for decades. Since the beginning, they'd made the waters home. Mild flooding had never caused problems for them. They were water cats, able to swim and fish as well as they could run and hunt. But the waters had never been like this - angry. Merciless. Dangerous. The water took and it took and it took. No one was left unscathed. If they weren't injured, they'd lost someone in the floods. Was StarClan angry? Had they done something they shouldn't have, or gone too long without properly revering their lost loved ones? No one knew. But one thing was certain.
If the flooding didn't stop, TorrentClan would have no choice but to leave.
No one could have predicted the second storm.

ii. Prefixes. Please make sure to keep the prefixes realistic and related to things the clan would actually interact with. Also - I'm very strict about what cats would or wouldn't know about. Names that I or others have to look up to know the meaning of aren't acceptable. I'm sorry if this offends you, but frankly some names are just too wild for even me.
iii. LGBT+. This RP is LGBT+ friendly, which means we accept cats from this community. If you can’t accept that, this is not the RP for you.
iv. Activity. Please, try to be on at least two times a week. I worked hard on this clan, and it would be upsetting for people to join and then never come back. After a week of no activity, you will receive a warning. After two weeks, your cats will be temporarily deleted to save space. If you know you’ll be gone for a long period time, please let us know so we can place you on excused absence.
v. Harassment. This will not be tolerated at all. In character, issues with others are fine. But keep any OOC drama out of the RP. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
vi. Spam. Please, don’t spam this thread. If you’re calling someone back to your RP, that’s alright, but please don’t do so repeatedly. Bumping is also not preferred, a little inactivity for a few hours is no big deal. No kit-____ing. At all. We will just ignore you.
vii. Forum Rules. Forum rules are our rules. Follow them, and follow our rules as well.
viii. Realism. We would prefer for this clan to be as realistic as possible. No cats with pink or red eyes unless they are albino, and no purple pelts or wings. And please, no unheard of patterns or color mixes for your coats.
ix. Joining. Please join with at least one cat of both male and female genders. Feel free to make more than two, but no more than you can handle, please. We'd hate for a cat to be made and then never RP’ed. Please also join on the correct page. thank you. Be sure to look over prefixes. [ I would making starclan cats (as you could tell from Halcyon, lol) but yeah, it's hard to tell when they passed. unless you describe by using seasons? I believe that's how warriors tell multiple years by seasons
