hii!! i know i'm super new, but i thought it would be fun to rate some names! in-depth reviews will always be included along with the rating itself!
Ratings will always be on a scale from 1-10!
Rules: 1.) Warrior names and tribe names allowed! Please no kittypet or apprentice names. 2.) Five names per post please!! Anyone can post another set of five, but only after everyone else in the thread has been replied to. 3.) I prefer names that fit into the realm of warrior canon, but I'll rate any names as if they're part of the canon!

Swansong Rosedapple Toadpond Nectarbelly Goosewing
Swansong: 4/10- The prefix and suffix alone look very nice!! But it looks kind of awkward and clunky together, maybe because both of the names start with s. Rosedapple: 6/10- This is a very pretty name!! It sounds really good when spoken, but I personally wouldn't call a cat by this name. Toadpond: 7/10- Very very cute!! I love the toad- prefix, but toads don't live in ponds. :^( Nectarbelly: 8/10- This would be a 9/10 because I love the -belly suffix, but I can't really think of a reason as to why someone would call their cat this. Is their belly sticky? What happened to them? Goosewing: 3/10- I like the goose- prefix a lot since you don't see it too often, but adding -wing to any bird-related name comes off as a bit uninspired.

(I have come!) Tinyflame Snowsong Whisperwind Forestfire Icygaze Tinyflame: 5/10- Very solid name! It makes me imagine a little orange tom, which I like a lot. However, there's nothing that makes it really stand out to me. Snowsong: 2/10- I really have a thing against names with alliteration, and the name really doesn't make sense when you put it together. I think the -song suffix should always be put with something that makes a noise.
Whisperwind: 4/10- I really do understand what you were going for with this name, and I think it sounds kind of cute together, but that alliteration really gets to me. However, Windwhisper looks very good and also sounds very good to me.
Forestfire: 4/10- I feel like I've seen this name often and while it does roll off the tongue nicely, I feel like there are better synonyms for both the prefix and suffix. Maybe Cedarflame? Or if you wanted to do a flame-based prefix but a wood-based suffix, you could do Sootbranch?
Icygaze: 7/10- This has a lot of creative potential! I'd say this is a lovely name for character building; the cat could be blind or they could have blue eyes! It could even be based on their personality. I like the versatility a lot.

Cloudyburr Minksneeze Brushflame Paleshade Frozencreek Cloudyburr: 8/10- That's pretty cute! I love both an uncommon prefix and suffix, and imagining a fluffy white/grey cat makes me really happy. This is one of those names that really makes sense, as the -burr suffix could be related to their fur texture and the cloudy- prefix could be related to their fur color. Very lovely name.
Minksneeze: 8/10- Very very adorable! I have a soft spot for the -sneeze suffix, and adding mink to the mixture makes this name incredibly cute. This name could work really well if the clan this cat belongs to runs into minks often, and a cat with a dark pelt that's similar to a mink looks very nice. I think that this name has a lot of good story-building potential.
Brushflame: 2/10- It's really hard to explain why I dislike this name. I think it's because the name isn't something you immediately associate with a verb rather than a noun, and that makes the name look kind of nonsensical at first glance. I know I suggested the -flame suffix in an earlier post, but I would never personally use it due to its unoriginality.
Paleshade: 4/10- The name sounds very pretty! But when you get into the logistics of it, it doesn't really make that much sense to me. It reminds me if you were to give a cat the name "Coldflame." Pale and shade are very nice on their own, though.
Frozencreek: 7/10- Very nice! This sounds like it'd be an ancient name that someone would gather around a fire and tell stories about. I imagine an older, rugged molly that lives in a colder climate when I think of a name like this, so I think they would be good to roleplay as. However, I think that frozen + water-based names are pretty common.

Honestly brush--- had been my biggest struggle since i love using Brushpaw as an apprentice but have never been able to find a good suffix for the name. thanks for the rating!

(I have returned with more!) Skyrunner Blizzardstrike Lynxfang Foxshadows Tumblestep (Welcome back! Sorry for such a late reply.)
Skyrunner: 4/10- I'm really not sure if I have a thing for the prefix sky- with this type of name suffix. Are they named Skyrunner because they're good at hunting birds? I think a name like this could work if you elaborate more on a backstory, but it doesn't look very appealing by itself.
Blizzardstrike: 2/10- The prefix blizzard- has been overused to death in all kinds of warrior media, including fan content, and I just really can't look at it anymore. I think there are a lot of fun winter-themed prefixes that are more creative and can work much better with the suffix -strike. Don't be afraid to think outside of the box!
Lynxfang: 5/10- This name has a lot of potential with the right suffix! I think that many people gravitate towards -fang or -claw when making characters with wild-cat prefixes, but I think that lynx would work especially well with something that relates to an actual lynx. Perhaps they were named Lynxfoot due to their large paws as a kitten, much like an actual lynx.
Foxshadows: 1/10- I don't really understand this name all that much, seeing as the prefix fox- and the suffix -shadows don't really correlate and I can't really imagine a coherent character when I think of this. This is just me, but I personally love animal-based prefixes when the suffix actually relates to the name, like Foxpounce, as it directly represents the animal that it is based on and allows the reader to visualize what the cat would look like. Maybe they're a tall, skinny orange tom with white splotches. If you still want to do the suffix -shadows, try thinking of an animal that is associated with hiding in the shadows or is mostly nocturnal! Badgershadow, Owlshadow, Lizardshadow, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Tumblestep: 8/10- I really love this name combination!! I feel like this name gives a clear visualization as to what the cat's personality will be and it also adds a bit of cute ditziness! A clumsy, troublemaker warrior named Tumblestep would be very very adorable. I wish I had a lot to say about this one, but I'm just a sucker for adorable names.

Torrentcloud Splashflower Duskfall Oceansong Sparrowfrost Torrentcloud: 1/10- I really don't understand this name at all, and I would personally never name a warrior this. The name itself sounds weirdly clunky and awkward, plus torrent- just does not seem like a reasonable name for a warrior. I understand the why these words could go together, considering torrent- can mean a moving body of water and -cloud relates to rain, but it's a huge reach.
Splashflower: 6/10- Splashflower has a lot of potential to be a very cute name for a medicine cat! The prefix and the suffix also go well together, especially if they were a Riverclan cat, as there are flowers that grow primarily in bodies of water and float on-top of water. There isn't anything else to write home about, but it definitely isn't bad.
Duskfall: 4/10- I feel like -fall as a suffix is extremely common when it comes to natural occurrence based warrior names, so I tend to avoid using it. Though, dusk- as a prefix is better than things like sun- or moon-, which I really appreciate. I really wish I had more to say about this one, but I just find names that use this pattern to be particularly boring.
Oceansong: 5.5/10- This name provides a real interesting way to build story for a fanclan! Though, I'm quite fond of the canon name for the ocean in the books. I think a cat that was named after the sound of ocean waves crashing sounds very poetic and beautiful, but I just really prefer names like Pondsong or Lakesong in comparsion. I think this name has a lot of untapped potential to be a really unique character.
Sparrowfrost: 3/10- Sparrowfrost just really doesn't make sense; you never really see a sparrow in a snowy environment, so I think the name should moreso focus on a bird that can live in cold temperatures. A bird that would look very nice in this name is Robinfrost, as you typically see red robins during the fall and winter times. While a name may look cool together, I feel like correlation between both the prefix and suffix is really important.

Cascadestorm Wolfshade Doveshine Aspencloud Wavefrost (I'm going to have to disagree on Sparrowfrost, since sparrows are only in my area in the winter, plus there are lots in Alaska and Canada, but I really do like Robinfrost also.)

Ivyfalcon Cascadestorm: 3/10- I really do understand the intent that came with this name, but something about "small waterfall storm" just doesn't really read well; cascade is honestly a very pretty word until you think really hard about the definition, then it sounds a little funny. I think this name has a lot of potential to be really great with just a simple change of prefix! If you wanted to still go with a waterfall theme, I'd personally turn this into a tribe name (Water That Falls From Rocks, River That Flows Downstream, Storm That Cascades Downstream, Heavy Rain In Dark Sky) because there's more wiggle room for a cooler, aesthetic-based name. Wolfshade: 3/10- I know this really isn't what anyone wants to hear, but these names rely more on how cool they sound... I'd say they'd be amazing tribe names! Tribe names are incredibly underused and I feel like it's much easier to make a more aesthetic-based name that makes sense. As a warrior name, I have to rate it low, but a tribe-based name would really bump this up a lot to me. (Wolf That Hides in Dark, Wolf That Sings During Night) Doveshine: 4/10- This name could work so well together if there was some sort of backstory, but alone.. I really don't see why a cat would be named this. I think maybe a prefix change would work well? Something that actually has a shine to it preferably? I think that names like Iceshine or Rainshine could work, or even something like Grackleshine due to it being a common bird with an iridescent head. Aspencloud: 5/10- This name has a lot of versatility! I imagine a cat like this as maybe a fluffy brown tabby tom or something with a dark coat! I personally don't really prefer it as a warrior name, because it could go really well as an ancient name (Aspen Cloud) or a tribe name (Tree Hidden Under Clouds, Tree Darkened By Cloud, etc.) Wavefrost: 7/10- Very very pretty! This is one of those names where I can visualize a clear setting and cat that can go along with it, which is what I think makes a great name. I think the wave- prefix is very underused when we're just talking about water-based prefixes, so I really love the creativity. This one is perfect the way it is and just overall not bad in my book.
